- govsucks, on 10/06/2008, -8/+117Jeez, Jailbreakers can run background apps, change the look of the UI, copy and paste and record video and what do I get for remaining loyal? I can disable auto-correction.....BFD
- angrycat, on 10/06/2008, -3/+52Getting my warranty back is only a restore away BITCH
- Rileyman6678, on 10/06/2008, -6/+54Actually Jailbreakers can disable auto-correction already BITCH
- hnazareth16, on 10/06/2008, -2/+47Nice -- street view is definitely a handy feature, so I can't complain with that one. Still, I desperately want the ability to download podcasts over wifi/3G to my iPhone. Come on, Apple!
- Betrayal, on 10/06/2008, -1/+42Does it have a "get me out of recession"- button?

- inactive, on 10/06/2008, -0/+20If you have actually jailbroken your firmware, you would know that it's just a regular iPhone with full filesystem access. It is no slower than the stock.
- ahawks, on 10/06/2008, -3/+22You sir may have just convinced me to JB my 1-week-old iPhone 3g.
- theremixtrack, on 10/06/2008, -4/+22Does he look like a BITCH
- WasabiBomb, on 10/06/2008, -1/+19The two big features I'm waiting for- copy/paste, and A2DP (stereo bluetooth).
Auto-correction sometimes annoys me, but generally speaking, I like it. It's unlikely I'll ever turn it off. - thbt, on 10/06/2008, -2/+18Hell, all I want for 2.2 is for the SMS app to load under 20 seconds, and for Safari to not crash.
- dewbieZ, on 10/06/2008, -1/+15I SAID DOES HE LOOK LIKE A BITCH!?
- jackharvest1, on 10/06/2008, -0/+12Of course Steve ducking reads digg.
- theremixtrack, on 10/06/2008, -1/+12no, but why would you need that when you have a woo! button
- PolarZoe, on 10/06/2008, -2/+13What?!
- ericmoritz, on 10/06/2008, -0/+10It's implemented in flash, but that doesn't mean it's required. Streetview is just a crapload of images mapped to lat/long positions. It wouldn't be hard to port that to opengl or whatever.
- YoctoYotta, on 10/06/2008, -0/+10I tether all my bitches
- inactive, on 10/06/2008, -1/+10duck......*****!
- phoomp, on 10/06/2008, -1/+10ummm ... any bugginess or lagginess you've noticed in the firmware is *all* Apple.
- WillHutch5, on 10/06/2008, -0/+9That shut is always ducking up.
- Juaquin, on 10/06/2008, -1/+10Jailbreak and use podcaster. Then install backgrounder so you can listen to podcaster in the background while doing other stuff. Seriously, why wouldn't you jailbreak at this point? It's like a totally different (amazingly better) phone once you do it.
- Radan, on 10/06/2008, -0/+8That is what really bothers me! Here in Sweden, and my guess, most of Europe, there's no such bandwidth limit, but since it isn't allowed in the US they won't add any features that AT&T doesn't allow. Come on Apple! Give us Europeans/Asians some love!
- Thollador, on 11/25/2008, -0/+4http://last-worlds-news.com/show.php?id=w45_yw45y_ ...
- dosequis, on 10/06/2008, -0/+8I imagine the mechanism that Android uses doesn't use flash either, so it will probably be a port from that.
- billbugger, on 10/06/2008, -1/+9For those times when your kidnapped and thrown in the back of a van, you can still see where you're going with the pictures.
- Stoyanov, on 10/06/2008, -4/+12What's up with those Japanese and the emoji icons? Are they all 8-year-olds?
- inactive, on 10/06/2008, -1/+8yeah, wathefuk, can we atleast send some pic messages please? *****.
- e68895f, on 10/06/2008, -1/+8Alley i cat say that this reel is nice.
/ written with Auto-correction.... :-( - goodluck4287, on 10/06/2008, -0/+7Cydia source?
- oldhick, on 10/06/2008, -0/+6Try rebooting. My SMS app loads in about 3 seconds... Just saying. When mine starts to slow down I simply power it off and back on.
- billbugger, on 10/06/2008, -4/+10I need to revisit jailbreaking my phone again BITCH
- valleyman86, on 10/06/2008, -1/+7Uhm its just a firmware and its easy to go back to the stock firmware from Apple. Ive been using my phone since I bought it jailbroken and its great. The worst part about the iPhone is apple and ive removed their leash when i jailbroke it.
- megamod, on 10/06/2008, -1/+6I don't think AT&T is going to let them do that over 3G. Too much bandwidth?
Same reason why they don't let you go to iTunes to buy songs on 3G/Edge I think. - sirjimithy, on 10/06/2008, -1/+6Doubtful. The street view is just a series of panoramic photos, not really related to the GPS functionality. However, combining street view and turn-by-turn directions, now that would be hot!
- goflyers, on 10/06/2008, -0/+5I hate emoticons because they turn code into icons.
- SniperZ, on 10/06/2008, -3/+7Street View is flash based... I wonder how it would be modified for the iphone that has no flash?
- billbugger, on 10/06/2008, -1/+5Or atleast over wireless, hell full wireless sync (full like appleTV not just contacts and *****) would be nice.
- billbugger, on 10/06/2008, -0/+4quicktime.
- Speed, on 10/06/2008, -2/+6Main features I want:
copy and paste
MMS
the ability to add words to the auto-correct dictionary (such as *****) - kayamm, on 10/06/2008, -0/+4Because in Europe we don't speak only English
- Twee, on 10/06/2008, -0/+3Quicktime VR needs to be resurrected.
- kaje, on 10/06/2008, -2/+5Why are they hiding these features? Shouldn't beta testers be, ummmm, beta testing them to ensure they work come release?
- coldfusion1970, on 10/06/2008, -0/+2Fsck picture messaging.
I want copy/paste. - theremixtrack, on 10/07/2008, -0/+3if i could, i would digg you up 1000 times.
- MiDri, on 10/06/2008, -0/+3@blackinthemiddle -- Double check the AT&T ToS there is a 5gig (soft-limit). After that they start charging you out the arse.
[More Info]
"If you are on a data plan that does not include a monthly megabyte allowance and additional data usage rates, the parties agree that AT&T has the right to impose additional charges if you use more than 5 GB in a month. Prior to the imposition of any additional charges, AT&T shall provide you with notice and you shall have the right to terminate your service."
It's listed under tethering at http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/leg ... but don't think for a minute they will not impose this on a normal device if you go over 5gig. - benjo8, on 10/06/2008, -6/+9sigh... copy and paste? no? sigh...
- DivisibleByZero, on 10/06/2008, -1/+4My company jsut shifted the text editor we use for our forum posts/etc, and there was a huge ***** from PM making sure the new one supported emoticons like the old one did. I'm constantly amazed that people think those are so important.
- wbbb617, on 10/06/2008, -3/+6Things I want to see happen:
-copy paste, DUH
-flash, DUH
-Allow applications to run in background, I'd get if they had to be vetted a little extra, but there are definitly some important apps that need it, AIM, and some novelty ones, pedometers, etc.
-Allow me to section off my different apps, so games stay on their own set of pages, and apps on another, no matter how many i add.
-Reverse the auto correction, i should have to tap the word if i want it to change it, not to stop it from changing it (or atleast give us our preference)
-fix the itunes store so i can just browse the free apps like i used to be able to.
-downloading and opening of files of various type, or even if i cant open them right away, give me the ability to more easily take them home (i have air sharing, but then i have to download them on the computer and copy them to the iphone, i want to be able to download stuff more easily when im up and about).
-i read something about better gps-ing with text to speech (and/or speech to text which would be even cooler), it would be cool but not as important as the other stuff.
-get rid of the $99 developer fee (ok, i save my rant for a more relevant topic)
Because Apple, ive been faithful this far, but im coming up with more and more reasons to jail break my phone. Think Steve Jobs reads Digg??? - mrgono3, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj13ugh5FYw
