iPhone 2.0 Golden Master Could Hit this Friday

gizmodo.com — According to a sources inside the Cupertino's iPhone software development effort, it is "highly probable" that the iPhone 2.0 Golden Master will hit this Friday. The final version could arrive two weeks before the introduction of the new iPhone 3G and just in time for the promised June release. Current 345 build activates two code-signing features

    • xero9, on 06/26/2008, -0/+5I wouldn't call it a downfall, but it is a bit of a limitation. Voice dialing would be very handy when trying to dial a number in the car. The lack of tactile feedback from the phone is only only true complaint of the phone, obviously there's no way around it.

And since it's such a common feature on other phones, I was very surprised when I discovered my iPhone wouldn't do it. Since I use the iPhone in the car constantly, the lack of voice dialing is what keeps me from endorsing it when people ask how I like it.

With a spike in tech support, Apple will insure it's best engineers, not the weekend help, will be available for those with 2.0 problems. 2.0 will release when the 3G iPhone does, July 11th. Apple does nothing early.
