- Bigdaddie, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7I tried it in India - it worked pretty good. Was a bitch to get going, but once I did - i was the MAHN...at least in Bombay.
- icedman, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7I bought a 'new in box' iPhone on eBay for $360.00 US ($348.00CDN) free shipping.....applied the hack and have had 6 weeks of iPhone on Rogers. No update/no brick/no worries.....and best of all, no contract.
- wang1011, on 10/31/2007, -2/+7wow i wish i had this guide this morning, someone could have told me the new password was alpine and not dottie
- Legolover64, on 10/30/2007, -0/+4NES Emulation is fun stuff, do that.
But seriously, get some Ants. You will never regret it. - SillyMamma, on 10/30/2007, -1/+4Google for iphuc dfu mode. You should be fine. You may have to do a cmd fsboot
- Matrix_Prime, on 10/30/2007, -1/+3Can someone tell me how to install the Google Maps app? I've done this jailbreak thing, got the installer on the ipod, found the Google Maps app online, have it downloaded onto my Mac, but how do i get it from the Mac to the iPod?
- epyon180, on 10/30/2007, -4/+6My iPod touch didn't get bricked but something went wrong during the initial install from the website and it keeps on freezing now. I tried to restore it but itunes (or any of my computers) dont see the iPod at all. So right now I have a iPod touch that doesnt do anything and apple can't help because the warranty is void. Im not blaming anyone but myself for this because I was a complete idiot for trying to install 3rd party apps that I didnt really need in the first place.
- skinrock, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2To be honest, I thought there would be more than what I found. I added the 3rd party sources, and have pretty much gone through everything that's available. Yes, the SummerBoard is nice, but there aren't a whole lot of themes to choose from, and most don't have a full icon package. Other than that, Apollo and a few games are really the only things I see myself keeping on here. Hopefully some more themes come out, because I sure as hell can't design one.
- judofyr, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1ditto
- meatmcguffin, on 10/30/2007, -4/+5Idiot yourself. For the last time, the phones that got bricked had the firmware controlling the radio altered in a way that the update did not anticipate. It wasn't caused by jailbreaking and it wasn't foul play on Apple's part.
- nuudles, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Check out this page: http://www.touchdev.net/wiki/Enable_iPod_Touch/iPh ...
stalefries is mistaken; Google Maps is not in the Installer app. - brettschulte, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1Developers video : http://youtube.com/watch?v=kOTUuQ8mXhk

http://www.bestipodtips.info/ - tmalloy, on 10/30/2007, -1/+2Please stop posting this on every single apple-related story.
- D3koy, on 10/30/2007, -8/+9What do you do next? Put it in your designer jeans and send it through the wash...If it can survive that it can match /my/ cell phone...
- frankietears, on 10/30/2007, -0/+1.
- clyde2801, on 10/31/2007, -0/+1Umm...pray like hell the next update doesn't brick it?
- stalefries, on 10/30/2007, -1/+1No, run the installer on your iPhone. It should give you a list of apps that you can download and install. Google Maps should be one of them. Of course, take what I'm saying with a grain of salt: I don't own an iPhone or a Touch.
- svenathon, on 10/30/2007, -1/+1Welcome to Digg, chief.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -4/+2What next? NEVER connect to iTunes and update the thing.
- inactive, on 10/31/2007, -4/+2no, it's overpriced. I own one (an iphone). I should know.
It's cool - it's *so* not $400 cool. At least the thing's durable... - inactive, on 10/30/2007, -3/+1Old fashioned cell phone! Still works!
- Nyaos, on 10/30/2007, -2/+0Why would Apple do something to an iPod touch? The jailbreak version isn't harming anything. When they hacked the iPhone, they got locked out because of a contract with AT&T, and the profit issue.
Applications don't take away their profit, unless they start charging for them on iTunes or something... that'd be lame. - quiksliver, on 10/30/2007, -3/+1out of curiosity, what cell phone is it?
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -4/+1I gave your request some thought, and the answer Is NO
:) - DarkDx, on 10/30/2007, -4/+1Thank you.
- pengas, on 10/30/2007, -5/+1Next u shut up about the iPhone cause we are all tired of hearing it.
Move along please...
Buried as boring. - mehan, on 10/30/2007, -6/+2fags
- xkilleddestinyx, on 10/30/2007, -6/+1if I had the money to spend on a whim I'd defenitly hack a 330 dollar iPod Touch or a 550 dollar iPhone (buying them in Canada sucks ass) but I don't so I could live without a hacked one for now
- RickJS, on 10/30/2007, -6/+1You, *****, are an idiot. Its your ***** opinion that its overpriced. It doesnt mean it is.
Also, ***** you. - jmob, on 10/30/2007, -7/+2I'm tempted to do it but don't I run the risk of bricking my touch every time apple releases an update? it just don't seem worth the hassle.
- JohnnyKdiggs, on 10/30/2007, -6/+1What next? Get sued by Apple.
- locojones, on 10/30/2007, -7/+1"What next?"
Do us all a favor and kill yourself. - hadimirza, on 03/26/2008, -11/+5Even better: install Customize, install some themes and make your ipod touch or iphone look awesome by changing graphics and text strings.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -8/+2Apple's getting lots of publicity.
- meridian300, on 10/30/2007, -10/+3Sheep.
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -8/+1"What's next?"
Go waste more money on other trendy, over priced, over marketed, crap that you don't need. - Weather, on 10/30/2007, -8/+1Oh goodie an apple article!
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -10/+1The Cult Of Apple
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F9gdx_LIAc - fkr3, on 10/30/2007, -12/+2Wow, even by Weblogs Inc standards that's retarded. "If it doesn't work, just keep reinstalling it".
- inactive, on 10/30/2007, -17/+4get ready to start whining when it gets bricked. idiots.
