- fanboydcs, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1why do people feel that apple needs to extend their warranty for manufacturing issues? That is exactly why they offer the Applecare, they do not claim their products are perfect and thats why they sell the applecare. I am not trying to be rude, but seriously even if this affected 20% of all iMacs its not going to make apple recall or fix these for free. Every "Exchange + Repair Extension Program" on apples website http://www.apple.com/support/exchange_repair/ is for machines that are 100% affected by their issue. Please be realistic, why would apple be responsible when they already honored their product for 1 year and gave their customers the chance to buy apple care for $160?
