- broken1812, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31Well you can make fun of apple and its fans, but you have to admit it, it says something about a company and its products when they have fans like these. It means their products are revolutionary and exciting, and fans are waiting to see whats next.
- auxplage, on 10/12/2007, -7/+25Maybe next in line will be MSN integration.
- Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16Not sure, but it is currently dark and chilly here in London. I'll digg this storyt since it's not another stupid rumour, but an interesting new bit of functionality in Leopard. Yes I'm an Apple user. So sue me.
- scottalexander, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14From the looks of it, this has nothing at all to do with the iPhone. It's looks like another way to get people fired up on iChat AV, but nothing to do with the iPhone.
- somnus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15This article has nothing to do with makeup or network addresses.
- zang74, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11@Naga10
Logic: Flag564's mortal enemy. - ryanfelix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Wow that's a really great feature...
Damn I wish I had iChat! (Or I wish MSN Messenger had this -_- ) - garbanzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9india? What does that have to do with anything?
- Naga10, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Because all the people who buy Windows PCs aren't sheep at all... It says more if you follow the whole flock than if you decide you want to make conscious effort.
- dDuk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Technically, you just shunned yourself... "I shun"... iShun. Gettid? Ah nevermind...
- SirBotchness, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Yea more iphone speculation that has no clout.
- node3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@flag
And your constant irrational ramblings against Apple is not some sort of compulsion?
Seriously, Apple makes some great products, products with great mass appeal, products that are well designed and give the impression that they were meant to be used by humans and not the other way around. That you can find fault with that implies more about your mental stability than you'd probably like to share. - goodcompany, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Leading off with "iChat Answering Machine..." made me nervous that this wasn't going to be about the iPhone. Thanks for reining it back in there at the end.
- dDuk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5And I'm sure you feel the same way about everything Apple makes, like the iPod for example... Oh no wait, you seem to like the iPod for some reason...
http://www.digg.com/apple/HOWTO_Put_P0RN_On_Your_iPod
You even mention putting it on your phone. You will like the iPhone once someone figures out how you can watch your dirty collection of milf on it lol. - Naga10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What about the rest of the world who just buys a Dell or an MDG computer because everyone else does? Sorry for lumping you with the other 95% of Windows users.
- ddcrandall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3just in case it wasn't clear: you aren't being dugg down because you upset "fanboys." you're being dugg down because you're a moron. another one? what? an article about apple? i'm assuming that's what you mean, because this isn't a rumor. why don't you actually read the article and think about what it says before you get all trigger happy with your clichés and stereotypes? or, if you really hate apple all that much, don't click on the comments section and waste more time (ours and yours) on something that you apparently have no interest in.
- somnus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Anything that isn't Apple that starts with a lowercase "i", yes. Apple was the first to do it - annoying or not - so when anyone else does it, they're clearly just trying to ride the coat tails of success or "with it"-ness.
- badtz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3iChat supports Jabber. Which in turn supports MSN/Yahoo/etc.
- SLH06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thats why I "possible tie to iPhone". If you read the last sentence of the story you see this "The ability to record video-clips has previously been suggested as a tie in to the iPhone to provide a 'call ahead' feature." So thats why I put iPhone in the title with possible.
- badtz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://allforces.com/2005/05/06/ichat-to-msn-through-jabber/
great link with great info on how to use jabber + msn in iChat - Hindu_Wardrobe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Jeez, it was just a joke. :P
- eplawless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2prometheuZ: iDidyourmom
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Precisely. This is more likely a feature so someone can leave you an audio/video/text message when you're "away". A very cool feature, I might add. Can't wait for Leopard.
- Axim, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7or you could use adium :P
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't know about the rest of you, but I never needed any info or rumor to tell me the iPhone will work with iChat - it's obvious.
- node3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Which results in nothing.
Coincidentally, it also proves nothing. - gerkin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Agreed on both counts. At least it was just the poster here that made the iPhone reference. The article doesn't do much more than show the info. Cool feature to have nonetheless.
- nfxmedia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it's likely that the messages will be stored locally. I do hope the .Mac gets a revamp though.
- fulldecent, on 10/12/2007, -8/+9strings iChat | grep iPhone
- ploke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1but it is a pain to get working, something that apple users (like myself) aren't used to dealing with. Apple should clean up MSN integration and not rely on Jabber.
- 0crabby0, on 10/12/2007, -10/+10I have an iheadache...
- DucksofAnaheim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I tink it`s going to have a tie-in to "fiber-to-the-curb" and possibly an expresso machine or toaster.
- DucksofAnaheim, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Who cares...I can make Skype calls on my pocket PC right now :)
- blackjack75, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@23r17i05o42n
Everytime I click using my Microsoft mouse (on my Macbookpro) I shout just like you "HAHA take that logitech! See who I'm clicking now? Bitch." - nturpin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hope this means they are adding more value to .mac services at last by hosting the message and responses at .mac
- GregR, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Then why bother to:
- read the article/comment section
- post a response - LaughingMan11, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This will probably put it on par with a product like Skype, but done with the fit and finish of an apple product.
- Naga10, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Teach me the ways.
- jaym, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Where did my iRealLife go?
- eplawless, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2"Because all the people who buy Windows PCs aren't sheep at all... It says more if you follow the whole flock than if you decide you want to make conscious effort."
I consider myself fairly educated concerning computers, and I make a conscious effort to buy Windows PCs. I enjoy building them myself, I like that they're compatible with all of my games, and despite its many flaws I'm fine with Windows. It's a bit arrogant to label any choice but your own the wrong one. - Stuarts, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0hmmm video conferencing is cool But is can be a pain to set up.
This is kinda cool. Offers some ideas to set it right.
http://www.goodconference.com/2866.php
And for the record skype can be a pain as well. Mine keeps playing up. - MiloMindrbindr, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Unless the iphone has a video conferencing capability, how else would you record a video to send via video ringer to other iphone users? You could use the camera on the phone, but then in the begiining and ends of each video you're going to see the turning of the camera around and then back to frame up and start/stop the video capture, that's not very mac-like. Unless they offer a stripped down version of final cut pro on each phone!
- sembetu, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1...cranks up iDrill
...iPresto! new iHole in iSkull...
...iRinse, iRepeat.
btw, I am a mac user. just poking fun at all the rumors. - Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3I'd love for Apple to make a Windows port iChat... It would certainly be great for those of us with PC-using friends... or at the very least compatibilty
It would probably be very bloated like iTunes on Windows, though :( - almalax19, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1DUDE ITS LIKE REVERSE SKYPE!!
- somnus, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4I don't really know if I should digg you up or down, I don't understand!
I'll just leave ya be ;) - PrometheuZ, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Bite me 'i' whore.
- haooken, on 10/12/2007, -18/+10http://www.edharriss.com/images/fun/iproduct.jpg
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1I, on the other hand, will digg both of you down.
- MalaysianMafia, on 10/12/2007, -13/+4brilliant.
