- vogelshock, on 08/06/2008, -8/+85Digged to death.
- jimminy, on 08/07/2008, -3/+55They are out of stock, I bought them all.

"I'm rich, bitch!" -- $999.98 - amneosis, on 08/07/2008, -5/+43Someone should release a free version of it called I am Cheap and watch the free publicity roll in.
- MBostonS, on 08/07/2008, -2/+16Here's an idea, how about you use a very intuitive feature that was added for just this reason. It's called, "Search", so that way the front page isn't swamped with the exact same story 5 times about something that no one should care about in the first place.
He designed a useless $1000 dollar app. So what? The great thing about having the gift of choice is using common sense. If you don't want it, don't buy it. And I hope people realize this guy specifically charged $1000 for a reason, publicity.
Now can we please put this to bed, it's worse than talking about some celebrities baby or whatever other crap people are into these days. - inactive, on 08/07/2008, -1/+14Duggeth.
- dpowre, on 08/07/2008, -3/+16dugg?
- S1L3NTC, on 08/07/2008, -3/+14Greetings, asshat.
We do not solicit diggs in the comment section. Are you that attention starved?
P.S. - Digg is broken. It wouldn't do you any good if anyone cared anyways! - diggimator, on 08/07/2008, -1/+11digged is to dugg as hanged is to hung
- themastersb, on 08/07/2008, -2/+10I hope that the secret intention was so that whoever bought it was tracked, hunted down, and killed.
- wondertwins, on 08/07/2008, -1/+8but the question is, who bought this app except for the guy on digg that joked around and bought it?
- apackofmonkeys, on 08/07/2008, -1/+8"Has been duggen"
- Nurven, on 08/07/2008, -2/+9He ripped off some guy $999.99 mission accomplished
http://digg.com/apple/This_Guy_Actually_Bought_I_A ... - vogelshock, on 08/07/2008, -1/+7You're probably right.
- TimeForAnal, on 08/07/2008, -6/+12In other news, Armin Heinrich retires @ age 17.
- DirtyWorker, on 08/07/2008, -1/+6Asking for a refund on what basis though? The app does what it says it does. There is no scam involved.. The developer is selling the app as is.
- mywhitenoise, on 08/07/2008, -8/+13Uh, of course they give a ***** about 300 free dollars. They mark everything up by $300.
- Gioleb, on 08/08/2008, -1/+6I know! I'm glad I got it before they removed it.

Stupid populist Apple! - mozert, on 08/07/2008, -7/+11Aren't all Apple products mean to say "look bastard, i am rich" anyway?
- Her3t1k, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4About about you use the word how?
- zachsilvey, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3the developers website says it sold nine copies.
about $6300 - bentaisan, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3What is wrong with selling this "application"?
If the buyer and seller have a meeting of the minds and the buyer is willing and able to make the purchase, and the seller is able to deliver the product or service, then I have no problem with it.
Commie Diggers need to stop hating on capitalism. - supermanred, on 08/07/2008, -1/+4I'll download it as soon as pwnage tool updates today.
I miss my jailbreak. - joegibes, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3...the limit is $999.99.
Although, you could make one that costs $13.37, which would sell better... - diggimator, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3At least he didn't pretend like he couldn't find it
- garrettg84, on 08/07/2008, -3/+5Somebody needs to make an "I am poor because I bought a worthless I-Phone" app, and charge a penny!
- republicker, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2no, everyone has suddenly become indecisive about comments. I have all zeros as well.
- igul222, on 08/06/2008, -9/+11I'm not quite sure whether this is a good thing or not...
- supermanred, on 08/07/2008, -2/+4Yeah, in Windows Kool-Aid land that's the truthiness.
In reality, they are meant to work well. Which they do. - streak, on 08/07/2008, -2/+4Actually, it may be the developer who loses $300 on each sale and it may be the developer who yanked the program from the App Store!
Quoting from Twitter:
"@PBones I'm tempted to buy it and then ask for a refund. The guy would get stuck paying Apple's 30% of the $1K.
03:34 PM August 05, 2008 from twitterrific in reply to PBones" - DirtyWorker, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed -- for lack of a better word -- is good.
Greed is right.
Greed works.
Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.
Greed, in all of its forms -- greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge -- has marked the upward surge of mankind. - Klisk, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I agree. Apple products are amazing, and they work really well.
But seriously, who can afford one? The only competitively priced equipment they sell is the base macbook, everything else DOES seem priced for rich people, or at least psuedo-rich people that can drop 2 grand on a computer... Let's be serious here. - wildsnake, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2no. please explain
- deepbl, on 08/08/2008, -0/+2I gave you one. Lets be friends.
- Dominicc2003, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2You obviously didn't see the article (on the homepage) earlier about the guy who accidentally bought the app then...
(Search for it, it's quite amusing). - diggimator, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2He's working on the next version, "I Am So Rich." Once available, people who are weak to terms like "limited time offer" will flock to it thinking it'll be only available for a short time like the previous one. He's also an albino member of the Russian mafia with AIDS.
- inactive, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1You don't auto digg yourself.
- Jonavin, on 08/07/2008, -2/+3The free clone of "I Am Rich" is now on Cydia for those with jailbreak.
- Gee1004, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2not everyone is smart as you
- Her3t1k, on 08/07/2008, -4/+5A better name for it anyway would have been "I was rich".
What's sad is it took them longer to remove this turd than it did for them to murder the tethering app. - DanBoodro, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Well looks like you're runnin about -2 right now. Good luck.
- Gee1004, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1http://digg.com/settings/topics
- Sonan, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Displayed digg values are apparently only a fraction (maybe 1/10) of the actual digg values. So +3 is really probably something like +30 or +35.
I don't see what all the fuss is about though. It's definitely not worth getting so worked up about. I'm sure they'll fix it eventually. - clsslc, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Congratulations. You win an "O RLY?" cone-hat.
- Nin10dude, on 08/07/2008, -2/+3Yeah, all three of them.
- rolandvvv, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1no, why don't you post it on digg so we can all get laughs out of it.
- o0joshua0o, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2Which is lame.
- TestamenTT, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2BURY THIS TOPIC ALREADY.
