- wonderchemist, on 06/07/2008, -2/+22We see two bridges from a nice VISTA going off into the distance. OMG Apple is switching to Vista!

- clinton1550, on 06/07/2008, -3/+12A good roundup of all the rumors surrounding the 3G iPhone and the WWDC.
- imagine24, on 06/07/2008, -1/+8Time to get out our wallets and hand them over to Apple. Hopefully it will be a good day...
- nickspohn, on 06/07/2008, -1/+6Is it just me, or has anyone really not thought about what that image means from Apple with the two bridges and the "A Landmark event. In more ways than one."
According to Apple, something HUGE is going to go down on Monday. I think EVERYONE is going to be surprised.
We know one of those is obviously the 3G iPhone, but i the iPhone 2.0 software isn't that "big" IMO. - ozid, on 06/07/2008, -1/+6But they wouldn't exist?
- KJSatz, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5I really want them to release a new MacBook....
- hypercrypt, on 06/07/2008, -0/+4http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Bilderberg_meeting_a ...
It is on the front page - MtheoryX, on 06/08/2008, -1/+5Aside from this article being annoying, and stupid, I have two gripes:
1.) My god, please tell me they are not calling 10.6 "Snow Leopard." FFS, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
2.) Why don't we just call this the iPhone Dev Conference already, that's all anyone seems to give a ***** about anymore.
/rant - wrenchone, on 06/07/2008, -0/+4Bury...report...bury...report...
- pauleric, on 06/07/2008, -1/+5According the Jobs, there's always something huge being introduced at these things, and the midwinter one too. And the amazing thing is he's able to make, for example, something like Time Machine, which is essentially a glorified shell script for backups, sound pretty huge.
- alpha88, on 06/08/2008, -1/+4"including Japan, Spain, Hong Kong, Australia and many more"
"Many more" better ***** include Canada. Seriously. - pensel, on 06/08/2008, -0/+3LOL "Closing Mac vs PC commercials"
Boom. - kaiquan, on 06/07/2008, -4/+7Appledrome's hitting town again! Apple rocks. Take it from a week old mac converter!
- MacParrot, on 06/08/2008, -0/+3You are a dumbass asm. It doesn't matter HOW many digg names you go through to post this garbage, you will remain a dumbass.
- IphtashuFitz, on 06/07/2008, -1/+4First off, how can you say you can't afford something that hasn't been released yet, since nobody knows how much it'll cost? Among other rumors is one that there will be different versions of the iPhone - a high end one for business/power users and a lower end one for more casual users, as well as rumors that they will be subsidized by the carriers so they could cost $200 or less. I just saw a post over on macrumors that in the UK there are now rumors that the phone will be free if you get a contract with a high enough data plan, and lower priced for more moderate data plans. So who knows what they'll be selling for... And then you should also keep in mind that a lot of people will likely start selling their first generation iPhones so they can buy the new one. That means a lot of them will likely start showing up on eBay, etc. so within a month or so you'll likely see a flood of used ones for relatively low prices.
- ccaazz, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3i can smell it... oh wait... my bad...
- BrendanSheehan, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3No. I'd give Steve a swift kick in the family jewels and demand 7 free iPhone 2's
- christ0fer, on 06/07/2008, -2/+4monday gonna RØCK!
- ozid, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2I doubt the idea of non-Apple hardware running OS X. But to argue that it may come true, there are two bridges leading to one point. Could be Mac's and PC's both running OS X?
Nah. - ozid, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2Ditto. I'm kinda holding out on buying a new notebook in hopes that I hear something about the new MB's.
- vault, on 06/09/2008, -0/+21) Snow Leopard is a retarded name. 10.6 needs to be another cat altogether.
2) It's just sad that there was once a time macs were discussed at WWDC instead of iPhones. I seem to remember Leopard getting delayed 6 months because of the iPhone. - inactive, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2 It's like when PC Gamer tells you next month they have a huge announcement that's going to rock the gaming world!
- vault, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Extremely unlikely...Apple makes their bread and butter on hardware.
- ozid, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1*sigh*
- pensel, on 06/08/2008, -0/+11) LOLwut - it's only the first OS X name with any meaning. If its rumored intent is true, that'll be about the neatest name alteration I've seen in a while. A leopard but highly specialized for the environment (Intel). How can you have a problem with that.
2) How about we just discuss both platforms at this developer's conference! Cool, man! - l800LEMMINGS, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2a lot of tech journalists may not have jobs on Tuesday due to their "definitely not" approach. arrogance when wrong just looks like stupidity
- Dagreenman, on 06/07/2008, -4/+5there is something coming that will blow our minds. trust me, i can feel it.
- PoopOnPaul, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2Well there have been rumors of OS X being available for non-Apple hardware (explaining the name Snow Leopard instead of an entirely new cat, and the supposed lack of new features in Snow Leopard since it could just be a more compatible OS X).
Although I count it unlikely, that would certainly be huge. - ozid, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1also a good theory. i just want an explanation, now.
- pauleric, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2I see the bridges are diverging, I'm going to interpret that as mobile devices and computers diverging in their capabilities. With an increased emphasis on iPhone/iPod being devices with interfaces operating much different than the computer GUI.
- BrendanSheehan, on 06/08/2008, -1/+2But they do exist.
- Eric77lv, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1I said in April that Mac OS X 10.6 would be at WWDC and no one cared and macrumors is still picking up on this?
- alpha88, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1I want one.
- NSResponder, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1One bridge is the Mac, the other is the iPhone. Apple doesn't hide hints in their promotional materials.
-jcr - cruzer2727, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1I dugg you up for the use of FFS.
- ccaazz, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2i like CAPS, they're HUGE!
- gcnaddict, on 06/08/2008, -1/+2Why is TGMD being dugg down?
I attend these events as press every year. Not once, in any of my interviews, have I heard (from Microsoft or anyone else who sponsored/attended the events) any Applebashing. The events are very civilized, which is actually very impressive. - rogeriogal, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1The new MBs aren't going to be released before August. There have been reports that Intel has pushed back delivery dates of the next-get processors that are likely to be included in these models.
I just ordered a new Penryn MBP on Thurs. because my mini died a month ago and I'm getting behind in my work!!! I can't wait. - inactive, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1My faith in humanity is restored. How are the Celtics doing in the finals?
- qtchk711, on 06/08/2008, -0/+0I am soo excited!
- Liz99, on 06/08/2008, -0/+0There is so much hype that there is a huge danger of a complete letdown if the news is not momentous.
- atbnet, on 06/08/2008, -1/+1Nice, Monday is my first full day at my new job. Might be my last if I am on Digg and Macrumors all day. Hope not, because I need money to buy the new stuff.
- Liz99, on 06/08/2008, -0/+0I am SO tired of reading about Apple rumors on the tech blogs that I just want this conference to be over with so I don't have to skip every other story. It's beginning (just now?!) to look a lot like a cult. iphonology?
- inactive, on 06/07/2008, -3/+3This conference makes the front page, but Bilderberg is this weekend; and not a peep.
- TGMD, on 06/07/2008, -5/+4Oh come on, have you ever seen one of those boring as Microsoft conferences? They don't even mention apple, let alone attack them.
Apple conferences: Interesting to watch but snide - Eric77lv, on 06/08/2008, -2/+1macrumors.com sucks
