- walkea1, on 10/11/2007, -10/+132its funny, but maybe only because I'm an apple fanboy who wants to blame someone else for the lameness of the WWDC.
- Verdanic, on 10/11/2007, -13/+119Little bit worked up, there?
- crazybrit, on 10/11/2007, -5/+99I think that might be the most hilarious reaction to a comic ever.
- Drahkar, on 10/11/2007, -13/+88I think the thing I'm most disappointed with this is that Simongray posted a direct link to the image and not to the page that is displaying it. Webcomics often keep existing through their adverts on their page and when inconsiderate people bypass those ads, they are losing money while still paying for bandwidth. You should be ashamed of yourself Gray.
- xpose, on 10/11/2007, -16/+74Thats an awful lot of words for a simple joke.
- thatsmyaibo, on 10/11/2007, -18/+74I think that was the first time I fell asleep reading a comic.
- dreadstar, on 10/11/2007, -10/+63That picture of Bill Gates is hilariously accurate.
- elvenseven, on 10/11/2007, -5/+52I fell asleep during WWDC -_-

please link to the actual webpage when submitting webcomics. Show your support for their stuff. - estvir, on 10/11/2007, -10/+53> IT IS A ***** DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE NOT A FANBOY CONFERENCE, ***** OFF BACK TO MACRUMOURS.COM OR GO TO MACWORLD
I'm pretty sure developers were pretty upset and disappointed too if not more so than consumers. Also, turn off the caps lock and get back to Steve Jobs dungeon. - Dotdotdot, on 10/11/2007, -9/+51haha
I love that guy! Why would you digg him down? I'm still laughing!
By the way, this was a cool comic. I didn't expect them to come up with THAT as the reason why it was boring.
And if you watch the keynote online, when he introduces the "New Desktop," everyone laughs for a second. You can totally see Steve Jobs die a little inside at that. - abyss478, on 10/11/2007, -30/+70and a lame joke at that
- DolphinGL, on 10/11/2007, -11/+48Blah blah blah
Steve Jobs is the second coming of Jesus, Bill Gates is satan.
Rah ba ba.....
Buried for lameness. - b3owulf, on 10/11/2007, -11/+45not funny.
- Wetzilla, on 10/11/2007, -13/+44Yeah, it's Bill Gates that has the despicability field, because he donates so much money to charity. The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is only responsible for 90% of the worlds polio vaccines, how evil!
- FelixDrylock, on 10/11/2007, -5/+36"You prefer only one?"
Hey, that was an intentional typo for the purpose of ironing... you can't... make fun... of.... *head explodes* - Nerfdude, on 10/11/2007, -6/+36now, this is just me thinking out loud, here, but i think the reason the keynote was lame was because there wasn't anything remotely interesting to announce.
- tgpo, on 10/11/2007, -11/+36"Yeah, who likes two reed?"
You prefer only one? - SVPirate, on 10/11/2007, -2/+24@TheSack
From a developers perspective there was nothing that exciting in the Keynote. Developers got boned over 3rd Party iPhone apps. They announced Safari for Windows (ooooh big deal). I have found previous WWDC Keynotes to be interesting and informative compared to this, even without any major product announcements etc. This one was a total yawn-fest. It goes down as the first Apple keynote since Paris 2003 that I haven't watched during or after the event to see what happened, and I only didn't watch that one because I was SAT IN THE KEYNOTE. I've even backtracked and watched the old ones back to like 1999.
In short - it sucked. - Destroytoy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+27Did you masturbate to those screenshots?
- grizwald, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19i thought the grass wallpaper was a vista joke too. wtf was up with that? did u hear a lot of people start laughing when he first showed it?
- veenenen, on 10/11/2007, -5/+22He kinda looks like Stephen Hawkings.
- Cimlite, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18You honestly though that it was not boring to watch?
He takes forever to explain and show off things that we all get by looking at for 1 minute. "Stacks" for example, I don't need that explained to me... just show it off quickly and move on... but he treats every single new feature like it was an iPhone announcement. That made it boring. - pauleric, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19Which Voyager episode wasn't the terrible one? I must watch it now!
- Tenoq, on 10/11/2007, -5/+21That's the problem with kids these days: attention-span-limit of about 5 seconds. :P
- andritchie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15It was 'boring' because it was over hyped. People got WWDC when they were expecting Macworld.
- DM01, on 10/11/2007, -4/+16Since when are .jpg files not images?
- econofast, on 10/11/2007, -6/+17Stephen Hawking's what?
- daviddiaz, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13I actually fell asleep watching WWDC '07. It's the first time Jobs has ever put me to sleep
- xcbxcb, on 10/11/2007, -12/+22People who donate inordinate amounts of money to charity are sour *****, while turtleneck wearing espresso sucking coolbois are the future.
***** your future, Apple. - crazybrit, on 10/11/2007, -6/+16You've obviously never read VGCats.
- anteyekon4myst, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12accidental posting
- prockcore, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11I think it's hilarious that they have to find some way to blame everything on microsoft.
How about Steve just sucked? Could that be it? - widebaytech, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7yeah, I love the fact that they all laughed except steve who just kept talking, then the room fell silent as the sad reality sets in.
and whats with 'the menu adapts to your background image', so what, does it move the menu items out the way if there is something interesting in the top left corner? - applebyte, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I also thought the grass background was a joke at first. Another weird thing was when he was ichatting with Phil Schiller and PS askes SJ how the Keynote was going, and SJ replies along the lines of, "I'll let you know after the keynote." I don't think even SJ was too happy with the crowd's reaction up to that point.
Anyways see it for yourself here:

http://digg.com/apple/Steve_Jobs_WWDC_Keynote_Download - heythisismyname, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7well it was bound to happen, he had to screw up sometime
could have been alottttt worse - bobbothegrayson, on 10/11/2007, -35/+40It's also not funny, because it was flat out dumb.
- platypibri, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8You got some spleenin' to do.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7Wow..
Try telling that one to your buddies during the game one night.. - anteyekon4myst, on 10/11/2007, -10/+14Steve Jobs' addresses are like porn, after a while you start getting tired of looking at it.
- arduenn, on 10/11/2007, -6/+10Stephen Hawking's spleen.
- geoboy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5God dammit you people. It's a JOKE. It's a an exaggeration of extremely geeky Mac fanboys. It's not part of some underground "Bill Gates is an evil man" campaign that must tarnish his image at every opportunity.
- praxisseizure, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5mmmyep. sad indeed.
- MacParrot, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21. Apple TV that RECORDS television, downloads movies via Netflix, and is IPTV compatible. Right now, the Apple TV is pretty much worthless without some kind of DVR capability or some connection to your cable or satellite system.
I don't think all of what Apple TV can do has been released yet by Apple. Considering where it came from, it was remarkably hackable. That's not like Apple, so I'll wait before I judge it too harshly...still won't buy one for $300 (or $400 for 160gb)
2. An iPod with a screen that uses a simplified iPhone interface, has an FM tuner, and the screen is actually large enough to watch videos on... come on, Apple, that part should be easy.
Of course it would be easy. Apple won't do it however before the Christmas season or perhaps Macworld 2008. Don't want to sabotage those iPhone (which I also won't buy) sales.
3. On that note, make the Nano capable of playing video as well. There's no excuse for it otherwise.
I have a nano. I won't buy a full-size iPod because video on a 2.5-inch screen is lame. 1.5-inches is worse
4. A new laptop that uses flash memory and fuel cell power. Who cares if it costs $5,000? Some Apple fanatic will buy one, and Apple will make every other computer maker scramble to play catch-up. And it will bring the price down on both technologies.
Yes, that's what everyone is waiting for. The return of a portable computer as big as the Compaq behemoths of the early eighties. WOW! A 8-inch screen and it only weighs 25 pounds! Sign me up!
And... last but not least:
5. Beatles on iTunes. McCartney, stop being a dick and let this happen.
McCartney has little to do with it. I don't think he owns the publishing rights (I could be wrong). Besides, doesn't everyone that wants it already have it in digital? - Cyber_Akuma, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2My attention span is much longer ta-ooohhh, blinking lights!
- Cyber_Akuma, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3No, we all got it, we're just not laughing.
- Narwaffle, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4No, that's just called improving the relationship between two platforms in a beneficial way so both sides enjoy the benefits. It's pretty cool.
- darkphan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2People think it was boring because there were no major hardware announcements like all the speculation/rumors suggested there would be. People get way too hung up on the rumors and get let down when they don't come true.
- sdcarter, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Wow, I guess you have to be an Apple person to get that comic. Then again, what do I know? I haven't drank the kool-aid... yet.
