I'll be out having fun instead of listening to a speech prepared by his writers about hope and change. I suggest everyone else do the same.
Also, fellow Americans -- change is up to us, not him. Don't sit around waiting for him to make everything better. Get out there in your local community and do what you can to make it a better place. If enough people in every city does that, the country will get better as a whole. Superheroes don't exist. Our fate is up to us, not a politician. If you're writing something to someone, you gotta keep it in the the thread. Otherwise we won't know what your response is because we don't look at all the other comments for a response to what we say.
And I feel like I should give you a little internet advice, from a young person to an older one (nothing wrong with that though) -- try to keep an open mind when you're commenting. Being staunch anti-liberal isn't going to get you anywhere around here. If it is social engagement and productive debate you seek, try to respect the ideas and opinions of others as you wish them to respect yours. Common courtesy is only appropriate. Even though it seems like it has quickly evaporated these days, it's worth while holding yourself to a higher standard that just saying what everyone else says.

Also, WTF is so historic about a Presidential inauguration? If you say its because he is black, I suspect you still see the world in black and white. If electing a black man is so damn historic, how many diggers could name the first black Congressman? first black Senator? Exactly... In the end, it doesn't matter though. This country is going down no matter who got picked...sadly. Unless the we the people stand up for ourselves once and for all. But I don't see that happening in the near future. Although I hope more than anything I'm wrong about that. I still have faith in humanity despite all the failures lately.
