June 11 - 15 = Spring
Spring Ends = June 21
Leopard Ships = Spring
--> WWDC = Leopard? - zaklampert, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18please an iphone minus the phone part
- CLucas916, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11But now, people can put it on their calendars.
- simplenation, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11why would you link to macrumors.com when it just paraphrases what the original link says?
- ucg1, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12And this would be useful to developers how?
- lostngone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9How dare you try and use logic here!
- CLucas916, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Let the rumors begin!
- neoform, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9*shakes fist at the sky*
where's the announcement of Leopard?! - ricksite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Last year I couldn't get over how many people were hoping for new iPods and other consumer level products to come out of the WWDC.
- hobgobbler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Rumor #1: Intel is coming out with new faster processors in May, so look for new hardware, possibly with hybrid harddrives.
And I wonder if Apple can act as a record label now that they settled that thing with the Beatles? They could hypothetically allow bands to post music directly to Itunes without giving 90% of the profits to the record labels. And you know Apple must really hate the record labels.
Die record labels, die. - canyonblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Folks if it isn't obvious yet Leopard will be coming no earlier than WWDC (which is still "Spring").
- Quix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7It's ironic to hear people rant about the "Apple cultists" when you have people like flag564 constantly stalking the Apple diggs and throwing in their juvenile excuses for rational thought. Talk about hypocrisy. Flag constantly whines about "fanboys," yet he's the true definition of the genre.
If I have to choose, I'll take "smug Mac user" over "obsessed, idiotic hater with an axe to grind" any day of the week. - tutivlahos, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8An ipod?
- mikeneilson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It's news if you are a developer who plans on attending. I, for one, am not.
- ThatsUnpossible, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Please Digg, fix your comment threading system so that replies can be made to each level, thereby allowing me not to have to read replies to people I've deleted. You might also consider blocking comments from people that have been blocked by a large percentage of your users.
P.S. I find it amusing that some people are "almost convinced" that flag564 is a troll. Ya think??? - Quix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"Which is why I'm almost convinced you're a troll." - stsuida
You're "almost convinced" that flag564 is a troll??? Sounds like someone is new to Digg... - tsunamisteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5uhhh..... you guys might get a nice surprise a little sooner than june.... just saying.... ;)
- adc89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That sounds about right. My money's on iLife being bundled with Leopard as well, since Vista has iPhoto and iDVD clones.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Flag is digg's pet troll.
- ToonPang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, so I'm gonna say theres a 95% chance your comment is true.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Here's a rumor. Something will be said about OS X 10.5.
- AmazingSyco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you're a student, you'll have an opportunity to apply for a WWDC Student Scholarship. It's basically a free ride to WWDC. Airfare and lodging, however, are up to you.
You do need to have an ADC Student Membership, however, which costs $100 and requires proof of being a student (usually your student ID and a copy of your course load). - neosublime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Quote from Developer email:
"Don't miss this opportunity to get unparalleled access..."
UNPARALLELED???
Will Leopard have it's own Parallels killer/Compatibility software. Run Win apps natively? Or am I just reading too much into the email? - hurlyburly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In the immortal words of Kevin Klein as Otto in 'A Fish Called Wanda', "DISAPPOINTED!!"
It's ironic having to wait for Time Machine. - directive0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No hatred or anything, I don't care either way. But flag, do you actually sit in wait for Mac related articles to make it to the front page? You've got better reaction times then most of the mac zealots, its hilarious.
This entire community is pretty funny to someone with an apathetic outlook on the platform wars. - anamanaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uggghh... thats way too long to wait for leopard. Maybe they're working on something new and exciting to include...
- dohidied, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple said "Spring 2007". Since WWDC is right at the end of Spring and Apple doesn't seem to be close to finished with Leopard, that would seem to be the last big event that they could release it at.
- elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2And I'm goint to say that there's a 55.401662049861495844875346260388% chance that the comment above me is right (Making it a 50-50 shot)
- lostngone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1About $1200 if you are not an ADC member then around $1600. If you are a student its much cheaper however I don't know the details.
- colincsl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Do you guys really think there won't be another keynote before then? While it technically could be released then, as it is spring, it is more likely to come out at one of the other presentations bound to happen; remember they will be introducing new iterations of all of their computer lines, meaning at least a couple keynotes.

- jayscottgold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1God I hope we don't have to wait that long for leopard...
- Dhalsim007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes....please start the Apple touchscreen iPod rumor!!!
- Dithre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple's new product releases/updates are not always introduced with a keynote presentation.
- scottstevenson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple hasn't announced a release date for Leopard. I'm not sure why people think it would be at WWDC.
- zioxide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yeah, so I'm gonna say theres a 95% chance this is when Leopard is released.
- thatsmyaibo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm still waiting for iRobot.
- abpanman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just curious ... about what does it cost to attend this?
- dohidied, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yep, I think Leopard will be released the day of the Keynote.
- nickzarb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apple have just requested that iPhone details are not revealed by the FCC until June the 15th - indicating it goes on sale after the WWDC
http://www.engadget.com/2007/02/06/apple-asks-fcc-for-iphone-confidentiality-until-june-15th/ - bubba9999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hope that Cain and the Undertaker are there. They should go head to head to see who gets the WWDC Championship belt.
- unloud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Maybe an iDJ for developing music on the go. With Wifi, Bluetooth, accelerometers and all the shiny scratch able surfaces you can afford. (pun intended)
- Silby, on 10/12/2007, -6/+2DUGG!!
- Bartboy919, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2I this really news? Everyone knows that WWDC is always during the summer these days, sure a bit earlier than before but its still between that June - August period.
- lopolis, on 10/12/2007, -7/+0Too early for an iPhone Shuffle?
- RationalAntaxia, on 10/12/2007, -26/+2http://www.macrumors.com/2007/02/06/apple-announces-worldwide-developers-conference-wwdc-2007/
- flag564, on 10/12/2007, -30/+1So the story about some former Digg users protesting the site gets knock off the front page for this pointless article?

What is Digg?
