- backoff34, on 10/11/2007, -93/+1131Dude, its a ***** ying yang symbol... I understand that MS is bad, but seriously... that symbol existed before Steve Jobs graced this Earth with his presence.
- RogerStrong, on 10/11/2007, -75/+489Nothing to see here. Just another case of Apple doing what everyone else has been doing all along, and Apple fanboys claiming that they were the first.
- kbull, on 10/26/2007, -78/+440All you Apple fanboys should just STFU. What's next, claiming that Steve Jobs invented the wheel AND fire?
- darkane, on 10/11/2007, -10/+280Please stop spelling 'yin yang' as 'ying yang'. Just because the Ying Yang Twins spell it wrong, doesn't mean you have to.
- shadowmoose, on 10/11/2007, -45/+286A Ying Yang is hardly a stolen idea.
- tensionhead, on 10/11/2007, -37/+269People still type M$?
Maybe I fell into a time machine and it's 2001 again. - KnightMareInc, on 10/11/2007, -19/+192OMG BREAKING NEWS: MICROSOFT STEALS THE LETTER M FROM APPLE'S MAC
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -42/+185WTF are you talking about? Apple didn't come up with that, here's the origin:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ying_Yang
I have seen several variations of it in company logos, in games, in magazines and many other places. - hbeierg, on 10/11/2007, -19/+143are you telling me you haven't heard of the new iWheel and the iFire
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -26/+147This Apple fanboys paranoid is making me crazy, really.
- roessnakhan, on 08/28/2008, -19/+138Wow...argck... choking on my own rage here.
Some people can really be idiots. Although I own nothing but Macs, the fanboys really need to stop reaching for a battle. - dvsbastard, on 10/11/2007, -40/+143Pointless fact: The ying yang symbol is actually called a Taijitu...
- ElGuano, on 10/11/2007, -16/+107Huh? Isn't Apple even more blatant about stealing images and even full videos?
http://www.engadget.com/2007/07/05/apples-little-problem-with-ripping-off-artists/
At least MS respects your intelligence enough to try to hide it in some token way. - sephiroth965, on 10/11/2007, -44/+133It's actually called a *****' yin yang symbol. That's why everyone calls it a yin yang symbol.
- x13x, on 10/11/2007, -55/+142you should ask xerox about the originality of some of apples ideas.
- LordSkywalker, on 10/11/2007, -22/+97The two logos on it do make it look ugly though. You've gotta admit that.
- shawnz, on 10/11/2007, -33/+106And that's why everyone calls you an uncultured *****.
- quomen, on 10/11/2007, -5/+70APPLE STOLE FROM THE KOREAN FLAG
http://www.appliedlanguage.com/flags_of_the_world/large_flag_of_korea_south.gif - EXreaction, on 10/11/2007, -17/+79Buried as inaccurate.
Digg needs a bury option for fanboy retardedness. - gamerzworld, on 10/11/2007, -15/+73Because Mac didn't steal it in the first place.....right?
*Cough*Konfabulator*Cough* - RubberBinder, on 10/11/2007, -77/+131Everyone is saying that it is just a universal shape, but the colors are almost exactly the same.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+58http://digg.com/apple/WTF_Chinese_Bastards_Stole_Apple_s_Universal_Logo
- slyzxx, on 10/26/2007, -19/+69I just laughed at the reply in the blog that ms is going down the toilet. Bunch of dumb rednecks.
- NeoRicen, on 10/11/2007, -10/+60The office colour is the same colour as the office interface and the windows colour is the same colour seen in the new windows bubble, no surprise they were used, coincidence.
- skyscape, on 10/11/2007, -17/+66last time I checked blue is a m$ color. goto msn.com, microsoft.com if you are unsure what color they yang supposed to be
- mfratt, on 10/11/2007, -12/+58OMGz! They stole the yin yang from the ancient Chinese! Waaa!
- Universal, on 10/11/2007, -6/+50I stole it, too ;-)
- sephiroth965, on 10/11/2007, -6/+45The colors in MS's are the way they are because they are the same colors MS usually uses as the background for the Vista and MS Office logos.
- HunterTV, on 10/11/2007, -13/+52Don't forget the iRack.
- LeonardNimrod, on 10/11/2007, -17/+52I love how people can't get even get well known history correct. This happens to be one time when Apple did pay for intellectual property.
What is funny is that even Xerox printers are not favored these days for many reasons and they had a chance to be the defacto computer. If they had any vision in their management we would all be chatting on Xerox hardware using a Xerox OS. Pretty sad, really. - Slrarp, on 10/11/2007, -6/+41So Apple invented the color blue now too...?
- PRocker267, on 10/11/2007, -9/+43hehe...you said *****
- pinchies, on 10/11/2007, -5/+38lol, iRony
- smhill, on 10/11/2007, -12/+45Dumbass.
A) He paid Xerox for it access to it
B) Several of the staff at Xerox moved to Apple to work on it.
C) They were very different. Mac can certainly trace it roots the Xerox GUI, but Apple made significant changes and improvements. The modern GUI today is much more Apple than its Xerox roots.
Same old repetitive ignorant nonsense. Like Al Gore 'inventing' the internet. There was no "stealing" or 'ripping off' Do a little research so you don't sound like an idiot. - johnnycheeks, on 10/11/2007, -3/+35The iRan!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -13/+41Who cares?
- CielChocobo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+31Wtf are the Ying Yang Twins?
- ElGuano, on 10/11/2007, -8/+34Forget about the iRack. It's time to unveil...
- fatlip, on 10/11/2007, -3/+29are you an idiot? try researching ***** before you go mouthing off. apple DID NOT INVENT MULTI-TOUCH. god, that ***** been on display for years now.
and if you dont like zune, dont get one. really, no one cares about your opinions. - TheAtomicMoose, on 10/11/2007, -11/+35Steve Jobs is an anagram of Sboj Teves who invented the Ching Chang coin operated palm reader, which was inspiration for the Ying Yang symbol. Such is hard proof that Steve Jobs will die for our sins.
- virtualball, on 10/11/2007, -5/+28Oh, you must be new here, this is Digg :) I'll introduce you, that's flag, you're supposed to hate him. And that gold statue over there? That's right that's Alex Albrecht, I bet you thought it would be Kevin Rose, huh? Well, if you look over THERE, that 200 foot diamond statue is Kevin Rose. :)
- Alucard66, on 10/11/2007, -2/+25in other news Mcdonalds is uncovered for stealing a Big "MAC" from Apple
- liquidcola, on 10/11/2007, -9/+31WTF!? Apple steals ancient Chinese symbol
Now, granted they changed the colors a bit, but it's still just a damn yin yang! - Hayes, on 10/11/2007, -18/+37The M in Mac is the EXACT same san-serif typography as Microsoft. ***** thieves.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -16/+35buried for GET A LIFE!!!
- Bootes, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21What's interesting is that the iPhone Widgets are actually Konfabulator widgets, and not Dashboard widgets.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+22It's not the apple universal logo, it's a damn ying-yang. I hear the letter "t" ripped off Jesus' logo.
- smhill, on 10/11/2007, -9/+27You should indeed. Xerox is quite happy about it. They were paid quite nicely for those ideas. And additionally made a mint with their Apple stock with the Mac launched.
- Kotjze, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19those bastards!!
