- XorSystem, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Irremediably? That's UNPOSSIBLE!
- bookishboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Irremediably is a perfectly cromulent word. Don't try to embiggen yourself at the expense of others.
- Durvivor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What?
- DWatch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2When I was a teenager going to concerts, I always liked to go down by the stage (we had no assigned seating in those days) and stand to the left, near the amps. Some bands had literally a tower of amps on either side of the stage. Among the bands I saw, AC-DC, Ted Nugent, Van Halen (in the late 70's when they were good), and a few others, a lot of them were very proud of how loud the concert was. My left ear was always pointed at the amps while standing on the left side of the stage, looking at the band. Now I have constant mild ringing in my left ear, that is very distracting in a quiet room. Sometimes I'll be watching TV or whatever, and I experience a sudden drop in hearing in my left ear for a few seconds, replaced by louder ringing, then it fades away back to normal, this happens on average once or twice a day. I have trouble listening to conversations in a crowded room, when others seem to have no problem at all, and any time I listen to anything with headphones on, I have to adjust the audio level to the left a bit to even it out for me.
What I'm trying to say is, hearing loss sucks, is permanent, and affects you every day of your life. Maybe Ipods don't do the same damage, but I bet they cause some damage over the long run. Just be careful with this, its not worth the extra little bit of volume if you can't hear well later on in life. - karlschmidt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I need a tweak to add more cowbell... anybody got one?
/needs more cowbell - Fezzik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Irremediably? That's UNPOSSIBLE!"
Irremediably is a perfectly cromulent word. - Sixcolors, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Damn, someone beat me to the "it goes to 11" joke.
- dannywsu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I need a tweak to add more cowbell... anybody got one?"

LOL!!! - davymac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i love how about half the comments are about the word "irremediably" rather than the story itself... did any of you guys ever study vocab for your SAT's? That was one of the easy gimme words!
- mcsweeney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1for, "is that a word?" and "unpossible."

Now...
Since 1970 the percentage of American adults who are obese - at least 30 percent heavier than their ideal body weight - has doubled and is now 31 percent. That's more than twice the rate of the other industrialized countries.
hahahaha USA - laurentlasalle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now all I need is a software that makes the music comes out of the internal speaker (used for the clicking sound when using the wheel). THAT would be AWESOME!
- Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I dug simply because of the "Simpsons" sounding word.
IRREMEDIABLY! - OwlBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My nano goes to 11 now.

Hey, that's mine!
My daddy is going to shoot you. - kindrobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1and not because I think it's not a word or something, sheesh.
wait.. is sheesh a word? - p3ngu1n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Irremediably IS a word - it means "without remedy", as it implies.
- Snyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Like others have said, this is only for EU iPods. Not US iPods, or any other countries. Some european governments have set an audio level limit for portable devises, and Apple had to comply with it by capping the audio level of it's iPods sold in that region. This program only helps those iPods.
P.S. There has been programs that uncap EU iPods since way back when the 3rd Gen iPod was introduced. The only thing new about this one is Nano support. - mattyG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hahahah
goPod is a program that allows you to remove the EU Volume limitation
on EU iPod's.
We can't be held responsible for the use you make with this program
or any damage it could cause to you iPod.

hahah france - norfolk13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you pached the iPod with this, can you restore original settings?
anybody tried it with 4th generation 60Gb photo iPod? - themachina, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Irremediably"? Someone's using their Word-of-the-Day...
- ralphmalph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thanks Karasuhebi !! i always thought my ipod was on the quiet side - figured my hearing must be damaged already since i had to crank everything up to 100%. oftentimes beyond that i needed to up volumes for individual files another 1 or 2 notches to hear them on the morning train. i was completely unaware of the euro cap. uncapped and +digg for you - wish i could give you two. :)
- Calculon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Am i the only one who thinks the iPod is SUPER loud already? The first notch of volume isnt even very quiet. I can usually only listen to it at half volume as it is now! Or maybe im the only person with an ipod that has eardrums left?!?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1GREATTTTTTTTTTT Now my headphones double as speakers.
- r3zonance, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Excellent Utility.
Worked a treat for me. I want the option to damage my hearing if I want (bloody nanny state!).
Besides which I'm partially deaf anyway so now I can enjoy my music at a decent volume once again!
Cracking work! - FaNtAsMa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The distortion on my ipod when at full volume already seems rather high.. there's no way in hell that I'm going to try and push it even further.
- obitom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1alright geezers, only just got the uncap tool, is my hearing already IRREMEDIABLY damaged cos i heard no difference on my nano, maybe its just cos my headphones are shafted, how come its illegal in France wots the deal wi that, wot ever next no smoking in bars?, no going 40mph in a 30mph zone?, bet they'll say I'm not aloud to take E's in the night club or smoke pot in my own home soon, now is it still legal to have sex with a sheep cos I'm feeling a little horny tonight, lol.
- Durvivor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can't hear you...
- flipmode, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If you have trouble hearing conversation due to a loss of hearing, you can use a similar software application to make them talk louder too.
- HiddenLYNX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1instead of increasing the volume, ever thought of getting different headphone? different headphones make you less of a target for theives, and also less of a hazing target for the frosh at duke... anywya, i rarely have to have my volume over like 66%ish area, becasue my headphones fill my ear and its only my music and my breathing i hear
- bigp169, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I can now hear my mp3's till my ears bleed..literally...
- steve693, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Silly Europeans, can't handle their music.
Does anyone else think the max volume on US Ipods still isn't loud enough? - deanau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1iPod sound decent? pfft
just get some shure in-ears! - yaos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just get a headphone amp. It will actually make the ipod sound decent and at the same time let you increase the volume.
- laurentlasalle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Irremédiablement, c'est simple...

- furiouszebra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"this is siqq seriously... i'ma dj nd wen i dj at parties nd i need to preview a chune usually i can't hear it... but now this just makes it much better!!!!....also wen i ga fa wok pon skool wok and i don't want to put dem head phonez in ma ears i jus crack up da volume nd rest da head phonez pon ma desk... so for all dem people da ask why u need dis prog... derz sum f****ing info..."
