- thatguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Speed, not quantity of diggs.
- CedanticPunt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13People who are looking for ideas, inspiration, or new ways of using the software?
- runninmac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10My 55 year old parents that want to make a slide show and correct the pictures but are afraid to. I imagine that there are many cases like that out there.
- edge001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9i think these are the same videos they made available to .Mac members
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Have you ever sat in front of GarageBand and seen just how easy it is to make something without having any prior knowledge?
These tutorials just help with cementing what goes where, what the labels mean and how iLife interoperates. - KissTheRing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Hey free is much better than the $49.95 per iLife app lynda.com wants for training videos.
- jtjdt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I didn't know you can get tags for MP3's that are tagged badly in iTunes by just going to Advanced > Get CD Track Names. Boy was I wasting a lot of time tagging badly tagged music.
- millypede, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yes but not everyone is computer literate as the rest of us, some people who have brought a Mac will ot be familiar with the way things work, yes its a intuitive software to use but it still might be confusing for those who are not to great with technology.
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7They are the tutorials. The bar that you select your choice from, looks like what I suspect Safari will look like including the bookmarks bar. Digg if you agree!
- oepapel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think you are on to something, Ireland.
There are so many companies offering online hosting at rock bottom prices that Apple won't be able to compete. The only thing they CAN compete with is their level of integration between the iLife apps and the online site.
Microsoft already will give you a free domain name and free hosting if you go and sign up at Office Live. They are really trying to tie the next version of Office (especially Frontpage) to their online service.
I see a trend coming soon where you choose your tools and they automatically integrate with free basic hosting and premium online services. - DCMacHead, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Generally, Mac software is far more intuitive than Windows software. The audience they're reaching for consists of 'tards like you so you don't make the mistake of buying a Windows machine next time you buy a new computer.
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ oepapel, I hope you're right cause $99/€99 is way too expensive.
- Quix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone have any idea what Apple uses to do its full-motion screen captures with zooms, pans, and circled areas? You think this is just captured straight to DV and edited in Final Cut and Motion?
I'd love to see a Camtasia-like app for OS X. Snapz Pro X isn't cutting it (not to mention it still isn't Universal Binary). - scottie2hottie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My parents who I just purchased a MacBook Pro for because they recently retired will love this site. They are always asking me about how-to manuals for all the iLife apps.
- korimickster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Garageband never fails to amaze me. I use Reason and Logic as well, but Garageband's simplicity keeps me coming back just about every time I start a new song. For those of you who doubt how great it really is, watch the tutorial videos for Garageband.
- nato64, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You've got to be kidding.
- isajeep, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow, I was just wondering about why they didn't have something like this on Friday.
- Haly2k1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you want, you can download these tutorials, using QTPro.
There are very handy in presentations, using Keynote for example.
Hal - Donut, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1for me this is good, cause i got a Mac Mini (with XP on it) and have just started using OS X every once in awhile, but cant be bothered to know what these built in apps can actually do.
- oepapel, on 10/12/2007, -8/+8Free tutorials on an Apple product from Apple? Front Page News!
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I sense free .Mac coming!! ;)

- woodyc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This is not a new page...useful? Yes indeed. But it's not new.
I've got a bookmark in del.icio.us for that page dated May 28th. - chookalana, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1You a lot more video tutorials if you purchase .Mac
- theporchmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0seen them used them...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0I sure hope so for $100 a year...
- edysteve, on 10/12/2007, -19/+3and there is also videos for free!
- Fipe, on 10/12/2007, -20/+4How did this get to the Front Page with 18 diggs? Very odd.
- malevolence, on 10/12/2007, -22/+3I thought macs were so easy to use you anyone could just sit down and record their own music and create home movie DVDs. Just who are these things aimed at?
- danglerman, on 10/12/2007, -25/+6ok....so we have a new page on Apple's website, big deal.
- BillyEveryteen, on 10/12/2007, -28/+5Pfft, I thought Apple software was so easy to use that tutorials weren't necessary. Not impressed.
