- spacey, on 04/15/2008, -4/+138When I submitted yours wasn't in the list of "this might be a dupe". Life goes on dude.
- MoofTheStoof, on 04/15/2008, -3/+70Because, according to Digg, you submitted 7 minutes before he did. So this isn't a "dupe," it's technically a (dare I say it...) "first!"
- Austin7687, on 04/15/2008, -0/+55I have to admit, this is pretty cool.
- Myonosken, on 04/15/2008, -3/+50Tough *****, only one hit the frontpage.
- nomorestupids, on 04/15/2008, -1/+42tketch - yours is the dupe - digg shows spacey beating you by 2 mins
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -13/+49That picture is pretty gay.
- RetroRufio, on 04/15/2008, -1/+32It's not a contest.
- fascfoo, on 04/15/2008, -1/+29You're an idiot.
- Amadeus2490, on 04/15/2008, -0/+20You can also do this on the DS, in case anybody's interested. There are videos of it on Youtube, which I won't link to due to rickrolling.
- drouk1556, on 04/15/2008, -0/+18Someone in the room doesn't know how wifi works.
- binorgog, on 08/07/2008, -10/+27"Can you hear me now?"
- barfooz, on 04/15/2008, -0/+16Read the article. Someone's come out with the hardware to plug into the port.
- myxyplik, on 04/15/2008, -2/+14Dugg for the FreeCall reference. Might look into that.
- priegog, on 04/15/2008, -6/+17Not that there's anything wrong with that...
- shortstacks, on 04/15/2008, -1/+12interesting story considering there is the fring voip thingy that also came out today
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -3/+13imagine if google had some sort of free wifi iniative, and the government would let them do something like that ... free wifi ... free cell calls...
- weyr, on 04/15/2008, -4/+14I'm pretty sure gay sex involves poles going into holes as well....
- wellyuk, on 04/15/2008, -1/+11No, two cups and a wet piece of string.
- priegog, on 04/15/2008, -1/+10LOL at people not getting the seinfeld reference...
- MikeSD34, on 04/15/2008, -2/+11I'd pay more for a use anywhere cell phone with bluetooth and a camera. When you consider the extra $40-$60 for the microphone for the touch, it's really not that much more for the iPhone.
- Jakerius, on 04/16/2008, -0/+8There can only be one!
- Simply_J, on 04/15/2008, -1/+9You're forgetting something. If you buy a new iPhone you have to sign at least a two year agreement where you have to pay AT LEAST $60 a month + taxes. Is this hack perfect? No. But it's a good start for a product that wasn't even meant to be a phone to begin with.
- cinnix, on 04/15/2008, -1/+9RTFA! I know, sorry :)
- rudy23, on 04/15/2008, -3/+11What do you do once you are outta wifi? You have an ipod touch which looks like it has a tumor sticking out of it.
- sloppychris, on 04/15/2008, -0/+7There's always the option of buying something. The point here is not having to buy something if it isn't necessary.
- plusmedic, on 04/15/2008, -0/+7Baller? You're joking, right?
- markwilcox, on 04/15/2008, -2/+9Fring has just released their iPhone app on installer.
http://www.fring.com/iphone/ - chromerium, on 04/16/2008, -1/+7It most certainly IS a contest. Failure at digg == failure at the internets.
tketch fails. - sleeknerve, on 04/16/2008, -0/+6how are you on digg and dont know how wifi works
- Echomote, on 04/15/2008, -0/+6I guess if you never leave the house it's perfect.
- tnoy, on 04/15/2008, -0/+6So, how long have you been working for Apple?
- russ3, on 04/15/2008, -3/+9Also, the touch is 300 dollars, then you need a 60 dollar addon, and the special iphone headphones(40 dollars) and for 400 dollars, bam! a ***** i phone, than that way too expensive 400 dollar iphone.
- surfing, on 04/15/2008, -0/+6Your what?
- rudy23, on 04/15/2008, -2/+8how about the monthly bill?
- wellyuk, on 04/15/2008, -1/+7Pull your head out of your arse. Firstly, it's not $400 more, it's $100 more. Secondly, that functionality is NOT the cellular phone network. Thirdly, you're a ***** idiot.
- TheWorm, on 04/16/2008, -2/+8Your icon got me wondering for a few seconds what had changed with Digg so that I can now check/uncheck a user. Heh, clever.
- outofreaches, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5Yeah, that must be it. *rolls eyes*
- wellyuk, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5It's in the Apple section of Digg. You could always, you know, hide Apple stories. But no, you'd prefer to make yourself look like an asshat. Carry on!
- rudy23, on 04/15/2008, -3/+8how about I have both a job and an iphone. i was just debating the numbers.
- MasterChief4134, on 04/16/2008, -1/+6Duplicate Comment.
- MikeSD34, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5VOIP has a bill too when you're trying to call a regular phone number, and that doesn't include access to a phone anywhere you are, and access to the internet anywhere you are either. That only gets you access to a single telephone line when you're near a wifi base station. I'm not saying it's bad, if that's all you need then by all means save yourself some money.
- sunamiebob, on 04/16/2008, -0/+5Tell mrbabyman its not a contest
- r3574r7, on 04/16/2008, -1/+5STFU
- hendo1769, on 04/16/2008, -1/+5people
- wellyuk, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4I think it was the "???". We're a fickle bunch.
- Wolfspirittt, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4I still think this is pretty dumb. I hate it when I hear "hey free phone calls with VOIP!" The idea is there but you have to realize that unless you are in a major metropolitan area that has free wifi EVERYWHERE then this is pretty much useless. There is a huge difference between being always connected through a cell phone service, and trying to call up using VOIP on a pda or mp3 player made into a pda (ipod touch) using your neighbor's wireless or sitting in a starbucks. BOO.
- SkittlesUSA, on 04/15/2008, -2/+6So you need a wifi connection to make calls?
- hellathatguy, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4that's what she said.
- airstrike, on 04/16/2008, -1/+5all
- beingdevious, on 04/15/2008, -1/+5you forgot ATT's monthly service contract, for 2 years. with this alternative.. its not there. nice try.
