I hate slideshows. - cmar618, on 07/19/2008, -2/+61Can we get it on one page please?!!?!
- pedepy, on 07/20/2008, -0/+31Aurora Faint ain't too shabby either
Now if all of that could just run without crashing back to the home screen half the time, we'd be SET!. - djsim, on 07/20/2008, -0/+27Where in the hell is Tap Tap Revenge?
- americaskate, on 07/20/2008, -0/+26Thanks for saving us from the annoyance.
- jmreid, on 07/20/2008, -1/+20I hope those people in that AIM screenshot like be contacted. Especially that phone number.
- Dieris, on 07/20/2008, -2/+21YEAH!!!!
...I like being the third consecutive person to complain about the same thing... - eliot2000, on 07/20/2008, -1/+20Twitterific is good. Twinkle is better.
...And Pandora rocks. - spanglegluppet, on 07/20/2008, -1/+14Remote is good. But a 'life-changing application'? As if.
- VivaLaUndead, on 07/20/2008, -1/+11thank you!
i wish every first comment was as useful - Galaxylander, on 07/20/2008, -3/+12It seems like you tried to attempt an OM NOM NOM NOM but a hard object was violently shoved into your ass seconds before you tried.
In other words, you suck and don't do it again
kthx. - mishaneah, on 07/20/2008, -2/+10AIM - Are you kidding me?
I feel like an Air Force test pilot using this alpha garbage. - FreshPineSent, on 07/20/2008, -1/+9Buried for slideshow.
- nogami, on 07/20/2008, -0/+7And you can't download 3, 5, or 7 if you live outside the US.
- movd, on 07/20/2008, -1/+8http://digg.com/iphone/
- iericg, on 07/20/2008, -0/+6Here are three more FREE apps not mentioned in the above article.
1. WritingPad
It's basically like notepad but with an enhanced keyboard to help write you faster.
2. VoiceNotes
Allows you to record up to 2 minutes per session. Simple and Clean.
3. Google
At first glance you might think WTF? However once I started using it the app reminded me of Quicksilver. - pedepy, on 07/20/2008, -1/+7but ... where's the digg one ?
- nicc, on 07/20/2008, -0/+6@movd
that digg app is nice if you only want to read the 5 comments per article that digg thinks you want to read. oh yeah, dont even think of wanting to comment on an article yourself! - jmreid, on 07/20/2008, -1/+7I wasn't saying that I was going to be the one contacting them. Just something I noticed.
You're true colours are showing, though. Maybe you should find yourself a Analrapist. - tomwhughes, on 07/20/2008, -0/+6Someone's gonna get a call from the digg legal department...
- crowbar77, on 07/20/2008, -0/+5So will some of these work with the ipod touch? The remote one for example?
- Diggworthy, on 07/20/2008, -0/+5If you look at the screenshots closely, you'll notice that most of them show "no service" or zero bars out of four. I recognized it because I hate seeing no bars on mine.
And seriously, browsers have scrollbars. Can we see the list on ONE PAGE instead of 10? What a cheesy way to try to get more page views. - orph3us, on 07/20/2008, -0/+5installer.app
- Zippo, on 07/20/2008, -0/+4Box Office is completely useless unless you're in the US. No support at all for Canadian postal codes.
- fugazied, on 07/20/2008, -1/+5Why waste your time complaining? Change your preferences so you don't view Apple topics. Some people just like to complain I guess?
- Phoenixfury, on 07/20/2008, -0/+4Oh and lets not forget More Cowbell! If you don't have it, your iPhone / iPod Touch needs more Cowbell! That's just one of those things you should not be caught without. LOL
- Phoenixfury, on 07/20/2008, -0/+4Remote may not be life changing, but it does for iTunes what Windows Mediacenter could never do, or ever do well.. That is play back DRM'd and non DRM'd AAC's remotely. I never really liked the music side of Windows Mediacenter anyway, and the iTunes remote really makes up for what Mediacenter's lacking when it comes to this. Now only if you could turn the iPhone / iPod Touch into a full featured Windows Media Center remote. That will never happen, but would rock if it did. Now that would be life changing.
- sonicularulus, on 07/20/2008, -0/+4facebook v1.1 finally serves useful to me
- myhandleondigg, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3"The free version displays ads periodically but not so much as to be annoying. The also offer a "premium" version for $10 that lacks ads and has an extra theme. Avoid this version and stick to the free one. It's overpriced and the "theme" is basically an ugly white background. Yuck. "
I'm betting not for long thanks to this gem of an article.. - WTF69, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3Anyone know waht the most expensive iphone app? just curious
- mentor972, on 07/20/2008, -1/+4Wow, pictures of apps. This is news how?
- TaintBrush, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3iPhone and iPod Touch run the same OS, so anything will run on either.
- dagamer34, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3Kevin, WHERE'S MY DIGG APP? EVEN POWNCE HAS AN APP!
*sad* - se1zure, on 07/20/2008, -2/+5i dont have an iphone yet but looking through the apps I was finding tons of useful looking things.
A few more to look at:
urban spoon - uses your current location via GPS to give you nearby restaurants.
Dial Zero - has a bunch of 1800 numbers for all sorts of companies, and by the looks of it, bypasses the prompts and goes straight to an operator
Yelp - Like urban spoon for other places, like gas stations or grocery stores
TapTap revenge 0 like ddr on your iphone
Yellowpages - speaks for itself
But seriously there are tons of other apps for like $2 that look cool too. The remote application is probably the best free app out now though.
Oh and not sure if this is possible with teh sdk, but something that would be useful is an app where you go online and do something (or dial your phone number followed by a security code) so you can turn the phone onto ringer if it is on vibrate. this way if you lose it while on vibrate you can find it easily. - myhandleondigg, on 07/20/2008, -1/+4well, if you went through the slideshow they show digg on the netnewswire app
- MAGZine, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3Move buffs, 'eh?
(#5 - Box office) - 2Deluxe, on 07/20/2008, -9/+11"Remote is a life-changing application from Apple that allows you to control music playback in either iTunes or the Apple TV. "
Proof that Apple is for ***** morons. - fugazied, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2Theres an update already submitted for that game (1.0.0.1), they are just waiting for Apple to check its not malicious and place it in the app store. Fixes a LOT of bugs and kinda finishes the game (spells, weapons etc). But yeah this is the most impressive free game I have played.
- ajwinder, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2Oh here we go. $449.99 for an app called MyAccountsToGo.
http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/ ...
I know its not for me but now I just want to know if its actually good. Like, could-buy-2-iPhones-with-this-cash good. - sononame, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2Instead of VoiceNotes, have you tried jott?
- tripledjr, on 07/21/2008, -0/+2wheres the youporn app?
- alansky, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2Top 10 for whom? There are hundreds and hundreds of apps, and I guarantee that "Bloomberg," for example, is not going to be on everyone's "top 10" list by a long shot. Why not title the article "My 10 Favorite iPhone Apps" instead of indulging in a sweeping pronouncement. One size does not fit all!
- eddieroger, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2No touching!
- neofactor, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2They said FREE apps.... Monkey Ball is $10.
- iericg, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2No... However I got tired of having to create a new account after downloading every other "free" App.
i.e.
Leo Loparte today recommended Evernote and said it was great ALL in one note taking program. So I gave it a shot and ended up wasting close to thirty minutes of my time going through the process of signing up and figuring out all it's features. - trolley, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2What I don't understand is why Twitteriffic always makes these kinds of lists when Twittelator is obviously a better client, and ad free.
- Deist4Life, on 07/20/2008, -0/+2Lame list...nuf said
- gordeaoux, on 07/20/2008, -2/+4Goddamn. To all bloggers it may concern:
1. Please put all of your list on 1 page
2. If you're doing an iPhone apps list, for the love of god, pick some apps that haven't been covered to death already. - elmetald00d, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1except the vibrate/ring is a hardware button and it would totally ***** the switch
- clockdist, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1...and the other half hasn't.
