- Bstodian, on 01/29/2008, -3/+7This might be the greatest jailbreak since the 1.1.1 www.jailbreakme.com.
- ThinkBox, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2Greatest....? well most people seem to say that this doesnt work, and crashes their home screen...
Please say "Greatest" after you have tested it and you think it works - bobbothegrayson, on 01/30/2008, -0/+2EPOCH FAIL!
didn't work for me, crashed to the home screen, got connect to iTunes message. Had to restore. - halosniper7, on 01/29/2008, -0/+2did this jail break. couldnt install apps after. would start to install then crash to my home screen. tried to restart my phone phone but then it gave me the "plug into itunes sign". had to recover :(
- kenshin159, on 01/29/2008, -2/+4Just performed the update and it worked perfectly.
- kaytrio, on 01/29/2008, -0/+2Any ideas if it works with anysim unlocked phones?
- mv1008, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1Does this also work with the ipod touch?
- gavincato, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1EPIC!!!
- JaggedToaster, on 01/29/2008, -1/+2I would suggest sticking with a jailbroken 1.1.2 until the SDK is released, to see if anything gets messed up. Its all personal preference though.
- inactive, on 01/29/2008, -1/+2i heard some problems with this...anyone upgrade from an unlocked 1.1.1 phone?
- sockpuppets, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1iCookie.
- nofaith, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Just a warning, this method will disable the playing of protected songs on the iPod. And I've heard reports that it will disable YouTube videos also.
- mets91, on 01/30/2008, -0/+1Does using this upgrade method delete all your songs, pics, apps, etc...?
- inactive, on 02/01/2008, -0/+0What?
- JaggedToaster, on 01/29/2008, -2/+2iPod touch? It would work with that too.
- sonicrun222, on 01/30/2008, -0/+0ijailbreak doesnt work on installer now. :(
- AriX, on 01/29/2008, -2/+2It does :)
Once you upgrade, it will remain unlocked - econoar, on 01/29/2008, -2/+1Since this story is about the iPhone...?
- JaggedToaster, on 01/29/2008, -3/+2If they can get the time required to jailbreak down, it definitely would be.
- FBMGriever, on 01/29/2008, -2/+1Yeah I just tried and it put me at the 1.1.3 DFU screen. I am now being forced to downgrade to 1.0.2 (which worked fine with iBrickr).
And it was indeed supposed to work fine with unlocked phones (which mine was and soon will be once again) - Sethwm2, on 01/29/2008, -2/+1I am going to try this when I get home from school, this seems like a much easier option that doing all that stuff on the computer. I will just downgrade to 1.1.2 and unlock and put installer on.
- sockpuppets, on 01/30/2008, -2/+1Well always make sure to click on threads you have no interest in then follow it up with a worthless comment. Your popularity at Digg will soar I tell you... SOAR!
- inactive, on 01/29/2008, -2/+1Should I upgrade mine then?
- inactive, on 01/29/2008, -3/+2What about a iPod?
- Chris24, on 01/29/2008, -3/+1Great work Ari and Ben!
- inactive, on 01/29/2008, -3/+1I still use that. But on a Touch
- DeathAngel0125, on 01/29/2008, -6/+2This would be really exciting news if I gave a ***** about the iPod.
