- Bluebonic, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2Wow I had no idea the new iPhone weighed that much. I'm a fan of HTC but I have to wait until I can afford one that runs Vista.
- streak, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2The iPhone has impact- and scratch-resistant glass covering its largest-in-class and best-in-class touch display. The others use plastic.
4.8 oz is not so much, by the way. The original iPod weighed 6 oz or more.- wanderama, on 07/09/2008, -0/+0Impact-resistant, huh. Tell that to my cracked screen, streak. ;)
Dropped my iPhone and it hit the corner of a brick jutting out from the rest of the brick sidewalk.
Dumb luck, yes, but damn.

- Pliep, on 07/08/2008, -0/+6So... why did you not mention GPS, WiFi, built in iPod, full browser, full e-mail client, accelerated 3D graphics, multi-touch across the entire system, UNIX operating system, auto-rotating display, motion sensoring, Exchange, ActiveSync, Cisco VPN, compatibility with both Mac and PC and erm... well you figure out the rest.
- ericbramlett, on 07/08/2008, -1/+1Built in IPOD - as in, "memory?"
- alpha88, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1No, built-in iPod as in, the best mp3 player on the market as part of the phone.
- streak, on 07/09/2008, -0/+2Don't forget EV-DO is nearly useless in Europe and most of the rest of the developed world, where GSM/EDGE/HSPA used by the iPhone is the norm.
WMA? Pfft!!!

- atstein, on 07/08/2008, -0/+2I have an ipod already and a great cell phone that happens to have iTunes on it. But its not the iPhone. I will pass on the iPhone for now.. I know.. i am prepared to be dugg down.
- LordMalok, on 07/08/2008, -0/+3The iphone is certainly "sexy". But it has flaws like most anything else. You can't take away that the iphone will go down as one of the most popular phones in cellular history, but products that come after it will almost certainly be better simply because they will be able to add more to their particular product, and learn from trail blazers that took off in a new direction.
- wanderama, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Agreed, Lord Malok. But there are many features I love about the iPhone that aren't listed here. Pliep covered some of them above. It's a matter of preference, of course. Do I NEED streaming TV? No. Will I want it someday? Quite possibly! I am very intrigued by what comes out next, and keep my eye out for the iPhone killer, but I plan to keep my iPhone handy for several years.
- streak, on 07/09/2008, -1/+2Yup, I'm pretty sure the iPhone 4G will be even better!
- Bluebonic, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1iPhone 4G, Ughh what'll be next?
