- sockpuppets, on 01/04/2008, -3/+382008: The year of Digg Top 20 lists.
- WiseWeasel, on 01/04/2008, -4/+23How could they leave out Labyrinth, the marble game where you tilt your iPhone to play? That's one of the most impressive demos of the iPhone's gaming capabilities, and always gets the 'Oohs' and 'Ahhs'... Not to mention the NES emulator...
- Vampire, on 01/04/2008, -0/+12...take that top 10 lists!
- starf, on 01/04/2008, -0/+9Avoid the camera pro!
I've tried out the demo on two phones. It won't save your pictures, and neither will the regular camera while you have it installed.
The digital zoom is also worse than if you take the picture at regular zoom, and then zoom and crop manually later. - Setari, on 01/04/2008, -0/+8Is there a way to view flash videos in Safari that aren't on youtube? That's what I'd like.
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -2/+10no tap tap revolution?
- Ironman11, on 01/04/2008, -0/+7If you mean iPhysics, I agree.
For those who don't know, iPhysics is the iPhone/iTouch game very similiar to CrayonPhysics for PC, check it out here:
http://www.iphone.r4m0n.net/?cat=9 - MaverickC17, on 01/04/2008, -0/+7Oh yeah, gpSPhone. The GameBoy Advance Emulator.......WTF!
- 4ndr3wk, on 01/04/2008, -0/+5its called mobilescrobbler, under multimedia. also you need community sources to be added
- Scatropolis, on 01/04/2008, -0/+5iTunes?
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+43rd party apps and jailbreaking your ipod do not brick the ipod, and IF apple ever do pull that where a firmware update bricks it you either dont upgrade, wait till the hackers get it working with jailbreak or go into itunes and restore to a previous firmware file (which apple actually host on their servers for some reason)
- yensed, on 01/04/2008, -6/+10No iPsychics? Fail...
- rnwen2750, on 01/04/2008, -0/+4That sounds awesome! I'm getting my iPhone tomorrow and cannot wait!
- lgc90, on 01/04/2008, -0/+4Um, you might want to hold off until Steve Jobs' keynote presentation at Macworld on the 15th...
- mccarron, on 01/04/2008, -0/+4Thanks for the kind words. Glad people enjoy the game! I'm working on putting together iPoker now too. ;)
- Carbamide, on 01/04/2008, -0/+4My favorite game for my iTouch is definitely iBlackjack by Patrick McCarrorn.
- randy7, on 01/04/2008, -0/+4They updated that game so now you have to pay for it. You can still play a few levels in the demo part.
- iammzac, on 01/04/2008, -4/+8WTF is iPsychics?
- ThankTheCheese, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv2MKqd7-8s
it's very cool and makes a great demo. There are dozens of level packs out there, but some are better than others, so it does take some trial and error to get a good one. - tidu, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3dugg down because tunewiki is already on there
dugg up for iradio
result: nothing - d8ta, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3what about iphone remote? when can it play divx?
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3There are tons of unofficial 3rd party apps if you jailbreak the device.
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3iPhysics is great, add http://iphone.r4m0n.net/repos to your repository and refresh your sources.
- chrisrad, on 01/04/2008, -1/+3pro comments system, when i posted my one, 4ndr3wk's wasn't there. 5/5.
- Ironman11, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2So just because you have to go through a minuscule amount of work to get them on your iPod/iPhone, its not digg-worthy?
- rnwen2750, on 01/04/2008, -1/+3... ?
- likwidfuzion, on 01/04/2008, -1/+3TuneWiki and iRadio needs to be on there.
- likwidfuzion, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2You have never seen the Restore button in iTunes have you?
- skidooer, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2"and the ability to run apps doesn't break every upgrade"
There's nothing stopping you from not upgrading. - Retnuh730, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2They neglected the PhotoBoard app. This is the application with the most potential, you can reorder and rotate pictures in real time using the multitouch interface, like Minority Report.
Here's an example of an earlier version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqpP4AK50V0 - capturedpenguin, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2He's trying to imply that the iPhone is so awesome, as soon as you touch it, you will ejaculate. Because of this, he is letting you know you should keep a tissue handy to clean up the mess.
- ThankTheCheese, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2given how close MacWorld is, it's worth waiting. However, I highly doubt there will be an iPhone 2 coming out. Apple haven't applied for a new phone yet with the FCC, so even if they do announce a new iPhone at MacWorld, it will be at least 6 months before you can buy it.
Also, it may be better to get one now which is running v1.1.2 because that way you can install 3rd party apps (by downgrading to 1.1.1 etc). the new phones will have 1.1.3 which may make it much harder. - rnwen2750, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2I don't think that will be a problem seeing as I'm a girl. But thanks for explaining! :)
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2Just don't get the firmware update and you're fine. And if you already got it, you can easily downgrade. Apple doesn't brick you for so much as connecting to the net.
- WiseWeasel, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2That's assuming Apple will be charging for access to the SDK, and limiting software distribution to approved apps through iTunes. Both are wrong in the case of their Mac platform, so we'll see how much holds true in their iPhone/iTouch platform. It's entirely possible that the SDK will be free, and/or that people will be able to distribute software on their own, or download and install directly to the iPhone, in addition to purchasing through iTunes.
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1works ok for me but screenshot bust my ipod and i needed to restore and that works fine for others so guess it depends on what else is on there or something *shrugs*
- orph3us, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1iradio is awesome but it seems to use too much cpu. My iphone is very slow while listening to any station. I hope they can get the cpu usage down. Also the output on speakers is distorted on my iphone, but that might be because i bought mine off of ebay and it might have faulty speakers :( .... (can anyone tell me if their speakers sound fine with iradio?) anyway, hopefully the sdk will make apps like this one much faster :D
- CheapMonday, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1psx4iPhone is the one I Love!
- ShrimpCrackers, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Actually girls can ejaculate too. It looks different, and is a totally different process, but they indeed can. Don't say I didn't warn you when you touch that iPhone.
- chrisappleton, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1They're all great and I'm sure they'll be even better after the sdk release. Go ahead bury me but anyone with a hacked iphone knows that, despite the usefulness, these apps crash too often.
- AeroRepair, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1We need more apps like RPG or reality games. Even real usable tools. Not just same game different color. Doesn't the IPhone support the software and screen for more advanced games and tools?
- ThankTheCheese, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1I've been avoiding installing the NES emulator and MobileChat because I need to install the BSD Subsystem in order to get them both to work. I'm afraid installing this will make the phone slower and less stable -- should I be concerned? Seeing that I'm in AUstralia if I screw up the phone I don't have anywhere to get it repaired, so I'm more cautious than I usually would be.
- mcosmi, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1goood luck jailbreaking a new ipod touch..i have a 2nd gen(which is what they sell now) and it is UNJAIL-BREAKABLE

WeDict - inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Do it. If it does screw up (and it shouldn't), you can restore it in iTunes. To do that, connect it to iTunes and press the "Restore" button. Here is a pic: http://img.skitch.com/20080104-qemtkg8p8hc43mkygx6 ...
- orph3us, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1digg down
- orph3us, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1ya i can confirm that bsd subsystem doesnt appear to slow anything down... However if you need to restore, search google for a tutorial to find the 1.1.1 firmware in a file. You hold down shift when you click restore to select the file, rather than just restoring from what itunes deems is the latest firmware...
- ig88b1, on 01/05/2009, -0/+1...at the moment. Im sure it will be Jail Broken eventually.
- inactive, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Awesome! thanks.
- skeen07, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1I could only get one photo up on the screen. Any idea what's up with that?
