- iAlan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Here's a PDF that's a bit more complete: http://www.g-design.net/textmate.pdf
Plus these screen casts are very helpful for the beginner:

(I found these helpful hints from the PMachine.com forum) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It handles multiple files very well. You can open an entire directory in Textmate. It will display a pane to the left with an entire subdirectory tree, with all filese clicked on in that pane appearing in tabs. At the same time, you can have multiple paned windows.
- yawn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Now I only need a 1024x768 version .. :)
- jiminoc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2textmate is by far my favorite editor on the mac. It makes me blush. Great link for the cheatsheet. I'm always finding little goodies in text mate
here's the one I use all the time
COMMAND + SHIFT + B
highlights inbetween braces { some text } - yawn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There is actually a bundle for Transmit.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2TextMate is awesome, great app and desktop picture. Definitely dugg.
- Jayeveryday, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like Textmate wish I purchased it with the Macheist bundle like the smart people.
- isdereks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Awesome. Loaded on to the 2nd screen.
- kasted, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wheres the PHP commands?
- bmc2010, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1€39,00 = $50.72 USD approx, buddy - not $75.00.
Great desktop, thanks! - M4cb0y, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@iAlan
How do you enable the Automation menu? - TopBanana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can someone please develop something as good as Textmate for Windows?
- mennis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@gsnd False.
- alantocheri, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nice, thanks! Everyone raves about textmate, but shortcut documentation isn't so great.
- cheeze69, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow - 40 Euro (around $75? or so?). That better be one hell of an editor when I've got (x)emacs on the Mac for free.
- gsnd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I found TextMate to be a little overrated and overhyped. I didn't like the way it handles multiple files open at a time. TextWrangler is far superior, for free! I only got TextMate in the Macheist bundle.
- bradleyland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like that one, but it includes the braces : Is there one for just the content between braces?
- michaelGregoire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"@iAlan
How do you enable the Automation menu?"
Do you mean the Bundles menu?
You open a document and the bundles are enabled. - qx4_man, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why pay? Uh, because the developer is perhaps entitled to be paid for his work, especially when the program is so reasonably priced.
- yahoofrom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Excessive Exclamation Marks FTW!
- michaelGregoire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Actually documentation for shortcuts is built into TM. Check the "TextMate" bundle for the "Show Keyboard Shortcuts" command which has it's own shortcut.
CONTROL + OPTION + COMMAND + K - kinghajj, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3For those of you who complain that TextMate is not free, here's a way I discovered to continually reset the 30-day trial.
1) Go to the Date/Time settings.
2) Increase the year by 1, then save.
3) Open TextMate. You should have 30 days left in the trial. Quit TextMate.
4) Go back to the settings, and put the year back one, then save.
5) Open TextMate again. You should still have 30 days left in the trial.
TextMate is a great editor--but why pay when exploiting a bug is so much easier (and cheaper?) - gaoshan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I do alot of PHP programming and I use BBEdit and the incredibly expensive but seriously powerful, Zend Studio (seriously, if you do a significant amount of complex PHP you just have to try Zend Studio). I poked about at TextMate and it either wasn't PHP friendly or it required some sort of extra configuration... not sure as I quickly found it insufficient and dumped it.
- titaniumdecoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This app is seriously overpriced. I mean, no built-in FTP browser? Seriously.
- panique, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Meh. Now I only need a 2560x1600 version
- digitalsin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1TextMate FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!
