- ZephyrNinety, on 10/11/2007, -126/+542SHUT THE ***** UP ABOUT THE GODDAMN iPHONE!
- Jones82, on 10/11/2007, -5/+324I like how you still kept the lowercase "i"
- Hipple, on 10/11/2007, -6/+288My 5th gen iPod is contract-free
- LeeSoong, on 10/11/2007, -6/+118Try Activating the PrePaid iPhone using a disposable VISA Gift Card.
Protect your real credit card from AT&T and just let the gift card run out.
Save yourself $ 2,000+ over two years... - drafhk, on 10/11/2007, -2/+104And 72 gigabytes bigger.
- h0zae, on 10/11/2007, -6/+103why do I keep clicking on every iphone story....
- mhockey14221, on 10/11/2007, -2/+84And $300 cheaper
- danakin, on 10/11/2007, -2/+82That is one expensive 8gb DAP...
- fastfood15, on 10/11/2007, -2/+65Except for the whole $600 and only 8gb part...
- sockpuppets, on 10/11/2007, -1/+52Why not just wait for them to roll out the new ipods? They can't be that far off..
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+41I want a real 6th gen iPod with 120GB storage, not one that has contractual obligations attached.
- Crispuk, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21That was some bad ass rage right there.
- krazykor, on 10/11/2007, -3/+20then don't reply.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -7/+23Correction: $600 8GB WiFi-enabled iPod.
Doesn't make sense to buy it just to use it as an iPod. - chowda, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15I *knew* my bad credit was going to come in handy someday!
- scrambled, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14Apple should make a poor mans iPhone ... only without the phone.
I'd pay for a widescreen, touchscreen iPod with Safari. - Sibre, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18Now, I could be way off here, but judging by the +31 diggs on the parent comment, and your -2 diggs, people do in fact care. Just a thought.
- JeremyBanks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Except that there's no way to use Skype on it...
- moocow1452, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14GENIUS!!!!
Sorry, Almost made a spammer post. - Murdats, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14considering he now has 120 more diggs then you, i would say people care. but they dont care about the god damn iphone
- mjhamilton, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12You're totally right. No web site uses Wi-Fi, there is absolutely no way to ever access a web site with Wi-Fi...
NEVER REPRODUCE!! - quinnmct, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16cool! a $600 iPod!
- dmbream, on 10/11/2007, -4/+15Try making a call using Jajah.com via WiFi.
- demizer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12BECAUSE APPLE HAS OUR MINDS. . . .
- syl1985, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14He didn't say he doesn't want Apple stories - he just doesn't want iPhone stories. And I can't blame him - it's a poxy device that is being so freaking overhyped... it's out now - go buy one and call someone who cares.
- fuzzmeister, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10"Just wait till Vista starts getting prettier and fancier because of 3rd party apps, Mac fans will convert over in droves."
Thanks, I got a laugh out of that. - DigitalRambler, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12Amen!!!!
- Balthasar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Jajah is just a way to schedule calls between 2 phones. You still need an actual phone. Now if skype made a web based interface....
- insomniac8400, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Not without a name and soc number.
- championchap, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9He did mention the "teeny" hard drive though.
- anonatron, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6That is true, but it is not bad for a PDA with iTunes built in, really cool touch screen and 8gb of memory when compared to a $500 ipaq with 256mb of memory.
- Stopher, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10pErsonally not worth it for me. I like the Cingular plans. Rollover rules. I'm in NYC area so connectivity is a non issue. Sucks to be you folks in the stir. Hopefully AT&T won't screw things up.
- fritzbrown, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8That's right, start your bad credit rating before your 20.
- EricJD, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6So does this thing sync over WiFi?
- jhuebel, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11Dumbest ideas ever. Why would you risk damaging or voiding the warranty on your iPhone just to make it act like a "6th Gen" iPod? Stupid. Buried as Lame.
- Hazardc, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9DIE IN A ***** FIRE YOU ***** SPAMMER
- etnu, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Wow, for only $600 you can get an 8G ipod! Where do I sign up?
- mjhamilton, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7QUICKLY, WE MUST DESTROY OUR MINDS!! I NEED A TV, SOME WEED, AND EVERY PARIS HILTON ARTICLE WRITTEN IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS. THAT SHOULD DO IT SEVERAL TIMES OVER!!
- g3r4, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5And I'm sure that when they come out with an official announcement stating that they're not making a widescreen/touchscreen iPod (Let me stress, IPOD. Not an iPod Nano + Phone) their stock will drop considerably.
- CDHarrisUSF, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4He probably values his job... and would like to keep it.
- jongarber, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Don't use 999 as the first three number of the "dummy" SSN. The first three digits are a state code. Use 135-158 as the first three (that's new jersey, the only one i remember). When I used 999 it made me call AT&T. If your nice to them you can tell them you tried to use a dummy and want the order canceled and try again.
- fuzzmeister, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5...or not.
- michaelb1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Alex Albrecht? is that you?
- wyldtek, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I'd do it if it supported stereo bluetooth...
- sockpuppets, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I read ponies and unicorns eat pringles potato chips.
- wastern, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6What a crippled wasted of the thing. Why even both with it if you are only going to use it for its iPod function. The price can be justified if you use everything on it, not if you cut out 80% of the function
- skellener, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Absolutely not.
- zoom1928, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3That's ridiculous. You're using it to be allowed to use the device you paid for. You pay the $36(IIRC) activitation fee upfront to be allowed to use the device then when the visa runs-out you no longer have phone service.
- apotropaic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3If apple came out with a device that worked liked the iphone and had 120g and would play mp3s still i'd actually buy my first ipod!
- Gerz1219, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3And even if you could use Skype, you'd have to be connected to a WiFi network, which would almost certainly mean you were home or in the office, which would mean you'd either have a landline or desktop-with-Skype-headset available. It would be practically be a $600 landline cordless phone, but one which was always in the vicinity of another vehicle for placing the call.
