    It needs a more polished interface and the ability to launch those extra linux tools with an option avalable from the main-screen.

    I'd love to see a console you can type in by cycling through keys up and down via the scroll wheel. Of course, I'd also love to be able to be able to plug it up via USB and boot a machine off the iPod as a harddrive.

    That would be a killer feature.

  • trogdoor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't know because I don't have a nano but with the flash drive using considerably less power than on the 5th generation ipod one advantage of the nano might be that you could actually watch multiple full length movies on one charge as opposed to the horrible battery life of the photo or video ipods when playing video.

  • twistx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok there's already been an article about video on ipodlinux. Everyone mentions how totally sweet it is but what they fail to tell you is it only plays uncompressed avi files, which are HUGE. Its pointless until compressed video is playable.
