- Betrayal, on 04/14/2009, -1/+17True about too many cooks destroy the meal. There's too much hype going on about "team work" nowadays.
- jeffgtr, on 04/14/2009, -0/+12I second that. Design by committee can easily result in a watered down product.
- Groovydoo, on 04/14/2009, -1/+10Teams are good at solving problems but individuals are great innovators.
- hifiDesign, on 04/14/2009, -2/+10I hope it means they're going to make MobileMe into a MUCH better product.
- Capand, on 04/14/2009, -0/+7I think you're absolutely right.
His interests do not lie in money or travel, and I don't believe he is greedy. If he has the drive and imagination, why should we stop him or criticize how he spends his latter years? Apple computers is his life's work. Forgive this for sounding far fetch'd but I honestly believe Jobs will be remembered as a genius who redefined the way people interact with technology and communicate on a daily basis.
This is his opus. - inactive, on 04/14/2009, -1/+7Go back to here

http://www.youtube.com/ - Taiyoryu, on 04/14/2009, -1/+6How does Steve tether his laptop?
- cochonnerie, on 04/14/2009, -0/+4I don't know.. if your job is your passion.. and you genuinely love what you do.. why stop? I bet Steve Jobs loves the challenge of changing the way business is done... or how a market operates. Sounds like fun to me.
- sayshuh, on 04/14/2009, -1/+5True - that's what a 'vision' is. One voice, one solution. To remain intact and evolve beyond mediocrity, a vision's uniqueness should be upheld without much outside intervention by said vision's leader. "Committees" should realize that growth only comes from innovation. Jeez, now i'm rambling...
- RicardoWilliams, on 04/14/2009, -0/+3this makes me admire Jobs even more
- aupeters, on 04/14/2009, -1/+4i love that you're being buried for calling that out, too
- wpc33, on 04/14/2009, -0/+3Fingerswiping makes the iPod Touch useful, and that thing's tiny.
- mrBitch, on 04/14/2009, -1/+3The article already says this better... FTA :
"Unlike the process at most companies, where there are always too many cooks in the kitchen that tinker products into mediocrity, the Apple process is different.
At Apple, a very small number of designers identify the core look, feel and functionality of a product, then Steve Jobs personally protects that vision through the usual design-by-committee process that ruins other products." - wilhoitm, on 04/14/2009, -3/+5A Mac Tablet finally! PLEASE!!!
- pyrates, on 04/14/2009, -0/+2There already is a "mac" tablet. It is a modified macbook pro. It's just not made by Apple. I suggest you try it and don't say you won't just because it's not made by Apple.
- bigspooon, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1A telecommuter is somebody who 'commutes' to work over the telephone. They are at home but still working. That word has been around for a while...
- tyne101101, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1The problem is; that nobody and not even Microsoft could surpass the level Apple has been for the past 6 years.
- casebolt12, on 04/14/2009, -2/+3"Digital Nomad"? really? they just can't help but coin a new phrase that totally misrepresents his role can they? pretentious bastards. so he telecommutes. yeah, him and about half of the rest of the tech industry. big deal.
- dragossh, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1He has iPhone OS 3.0.
- wilhoitm, on 04/16/2009, -1/+1It has got to be designed by Apple in California and made in Taiwan or I wont but it!
- tyne101101, on 04/14/2009, -1/+1If you don't like the content, don't comment!
- sevenofnine1, on 04/19/2009, -0/+0Digital nomad? That is a rather interesting term... Sounds much more upper-crusty than plain-old telecommuter.
- gofeeling, on 04/17/2009, -0/+0Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish
- svensko, on 04/14/2009, -3/+3Reading some of the digital nomad blogs made me nearly gag. These people are quite the fart sniffers.
- cgrado, on 04/14/2009, -3/+3Who made up these words? Digital Nomad? Telecommuter? What, over long distances, HE COMMUTES!
- DrRetro, on 04/14/2009, -3/+3He's doing the what to the who in the where now? He's a digital nomad? So... that's... like, what? A hobo with an iPhone? I don't understand why we have to redefine his job title and unless he's living and working out of a VW van from here on out, it's a title he's not exactly fit for.
- brakzilla, on 04/14/2009, -3/+3perhaps an array of smart webcams that track your face.
I've worked from home for over a year now and I thought I would like it, but it really stinks. Mostly I miss quick interaction with people I used to work with. Now everything has to be done over AIM or email or phone.. and its just so much harder. one webcam just isnt good enough. - Bighaugs, on 04/14/2009, -3/+2I've heard this for years now, but I don't quite get it. It's hard for me to imagine Jobs allowing the clunkiness of a stylus. But finger-swiping doesn't seem to have the accuracy that would make a tablet useful...
So what's the appeal? - YoWhatDaFuxUp, on 04/14/2009, -4/+2Not how i would spend my last few days on Earth..
- AlaskaLoneWolf, on 04/14/2009, -6/+3If I were him, at this point, I'd be getting more into traveling the world, and checking out of work more than checking into work.
- chriswastaken, on 10/27/2009, -14/+7Didn't iPod beat out the Nomad?
Also, first page and 1 comment. - janderson91, on 04/14/2009, -11/+3Who cares?
- wilhoitm, on 04/14/2009, -9/+1Steve jobs has stumbled upon the next big thing! This changes everything! You'll see!
- AboveandBeyond, on 04/14/2009, -12/+3Greedy dying bastard in chief.
- maz2331, on 04/14/2009, -11/+2Steve, it's time to just retire. You made your pile of cash already, and it really is time to let the next generation make theirs.
- inactive, on 04/14/2009, -13/+4APPLE SUCKS!
- inactive, on 04/14/2009, -12/+2No wireless. Less space than a nomad. Lame.
- inactive, on 04/14/2009, -12/+2Dying Nerd in Chief?
