- HunterTV, on 10/10/2007, -1/+39The new iPhoto looks like it will be a lot better at organizing the thousands of photos I've taken.
And by "thousands of photos I've taken," I mean all the free porn I've downloaded.
And by "free porn" I've downloaded," I mean, "You're enough for me baby, I don't look at porn."
And by "baby" I mean my Canadian girlfriend. - ventro, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24lol at Steve talking about the keyboard: "You probably saw this on the web"
- totorototoro, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18They cut out the Q&A portion..wtf?
- chrisutley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Pound for pound, the entry level 20" iMac at $1,200 is probably the best value Apple has ever offered in a Mac. That being said, for just $500 more you get allot of value from the 24".
- macbwizard, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Yeah... it's also weird hearing him do a 'keynote' without wild cheers when he announces something.
- totorototoro, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Not sure what you mean by "bogus". I watched the stream last night. Maybe other people did too?
- zioxide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8not enough booms
- Firehed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I find it unlikely that Digg could kill a stream when Apple probably uses more bandwidth than Google with their iTunes store.
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Are you kidding? A video editing application for $80!!!! that is a bargain, lets not forget iPhoto which looks a LOT better now.
you also get a nice audio recording app (which is awesome for recording from instruments) and a crappy web dev app!
$80 is a dirt ass cheap! - adude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yeah, the link was down, but it's back up.
- chrisntr, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7I was just 20 minutes into it and now digg has killed the stream :(
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I was going to digg you down, then decided to digg you up, then decided you were just an idiot and didn't bother.
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Damn comment system!
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3it is the same way with all the Town Hall keynotes
the iPod intro, the iBook redesign. - superwick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3well, the Q's were mostly stupid anyway: "Why don't you guys put Intel Inside stickers on your machines?"...I would've been like, "ARE YOU SERIOUS, BITCH? Security! Get this time waster out of here!"
- franksands, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3So now Stevie can say that it's fun to make spreadsheets and pie charts?
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This is like the only way people will talk to you right? What a diggtard
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2He can say its "innovative" and he's reinventing the Spreadsheet as we know it,
BOOM!! - steban, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yes, we need a donwload or youtube link please, Quicktime streams suck
- chrisutley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Apple doesn't have to make a choice about where they fit in. They have a carved out a highly profitable niche for themselves, that is currently growing at 3-times the rate of the industry as a whole. As long as they maintain their quality and innovation, they will be able to make gobs of cash selling Macs.
For some reason there are people that think OS X and Apple cannot possibly enjoy legitimate success unless they dominate the PC market. Jobs himself has made the BMW analogy a few times, which seems to sum it up about as well as anything. BMW has a highly lucrative automobile business, and a tiny market share. Of course Apple would love to surpass Microsoft, but in order to do so they would have to lower their margins and probably quality control in the process. Their current business is quite healthy, so the best bet for them is stay the course and keep pushing the envelope in terms of innovation and quality. - MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Wow, that's all you have? You must have been the brightest kid on the short-bus.
- rightmindx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It would have been nice for Jobs to actually credit the video engineer who "reinvented" iMovie by name, since he couldn't stop raving non-stop about what a great job he did with it. Then again, Steve Jobs strikes me as the type of person who would rarely allow another name to be associated with Apple other than Steve Jobs.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Good presentation.
Nice to see Jobs excited about the Mac platform again. It's been a while. - j0nny, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4That's not QuickTime, that's caused by their servers not being able to delvier the content quick enough at the moment. Any streaming format would suffer the same.
- NeoRicen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You can just tell someone got fired.
- antdude, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But it doesn't mean ONE pipe. And probably not at the same building/room/location.
- MonkeyBoy87, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2What? No link to download to iPod or AppleTV? Lame Apple. Real lame. How do I justify my HD tv without being able to watch his Steveness in 720p?
- kris33, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You can play it in VLC
- meatmcguffin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"And leisure, we pronounce li-zur-e-ay"
/Izzard - MonkeyBoy87, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1no link to play this on apple TV or ipod - lame apple. real lame.
- AnonymousCow, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Pray for Mojo :(
- russh, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Wrong.
Back in the day, Apple (at Jobs suggestion) had the signature of every member of the original mac team engraved on the inside of every Macintosh case.
I remember reading a quote from Jobs a couple years ago, saying in effect that he regretted he couldn't give more specific recognition to the individual developers who "make" Apple... but these days that's like putting a flashing neon arrow over their heads saying "recruiter sharks... PESTER THIS PERSON!"
He's up front, not out of ego, but because he's recognized in the press as a "rock star." He draws attention. Would you have watched this marketing announcement if he weren't the one doing it? - mos6507, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Any "Mere Mortals" or "Isn't that Cool" to add to the list?
- octophobic, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I don't like the black border around the LCD.
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1not quite, about 20 hours at most
- Berrex, on 10/10/2007, -8/+8Hey guys let's see how far down you can digg this post! I bet you won't beat my record lolings
- nickgwyn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1porn-events... once a day!
- mfearby, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Even still, the QuickTime player is the most annoying media player on the face of this earth! I'm not an anti-Apple person, and am currently mulling over the possibility of buying a 24" iMac when my custom-built Core 2 Duo gets too slow, but in all honesty, QuickTime sums up everything I hate about Apple.
- cfsporn, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Is apple ever going to do another download like they did at macworld? Or was that a one shot deal.
- nkm82, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0zOMG Torrent plz!!!!111!
- tyrione, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Who the hell uses vaseline when superior products like AstroGlide are around?

- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1what does that have to do with the Q&A being cut out?

- chrisutley, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2The link was never down. If you guys can't figure out how to click the "Watch the Special Event" button, then perhaps you should Homer Simpson about borrowing is helper monkey Mojo.
