oreillynet.com — Here's a way you can speed up Safari by changing the rendering delay. After changing the rendering delay to something really low, Safari feels far more responsive on my system. Tip: try "defaults write com.apple.Safari WebKitInitialTimedLayoutDelay -float 0.0001" to speed up Safari even more.
