- xoineg, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4i would pay for hd content as long as it is at a good price
- Radan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Well, how about releasing the regular "almost-DVD-quality" videos in Europe before starting to work on upgrading to HD? I want my videos!
- Radan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Well, he could be talking about viewing the movies on his iMac. Though I agree, the difference between 1080p and a regular DVD on a 24 inch screen is really non existence.
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3He's standing on top of sewer and want's everyone to know?
- shank2001, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Finally!!!! Need more HD material to watch!!!!!
- deadbaby, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Selling HD content isn't an original idea. Microsoft sells SD content too, does that mean they copied Apple?
- reallydigginit, on 10/10/2007, -5/+8Please be ture.
- Rixta, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Kewl...now I finally have something to spend that $100 iPhone rebate on......
- dagamer34, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Finally, a real reason to buy an Apple TV.
- yabos, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The damn CRTC wants to control everything about TV. I think that's why we still haven't seen anything on the iTMS Canada.
- luckk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2You can watch HD content now in the form of podcast. I have listed over 100 HD podcasts on my site at http://hd.appletvsource.com
- LoganT, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5Your 24 incher? Please tell me you meant to write 42 incher.
- knightboat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2What's wrong with ripping your DVDs?
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2So if I watch one movie at 1080p and another on my iMac on a DVD I will cease to exist? Man, it isn't the cost that gets me, it's learning all the rules!
- IllBeBack, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4That would be something I might plunk down some money for...
- ilgaz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3I am downloading $2.5 each HD series from Vuze (Azureus based) right now. I am from Istanbul which Apple refuses to sell their content to.
How? I purchased a second hand G4 Mini (real computer) instead of Apple TV. - Sibre, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Well, if you're disappointed on the first count, then you'll automatically be disappointed on the second count, I guess.
- aliguana, on 10/10/2007, -5/+6non-specific. Should read: "Apple is planning to launch iTunesHD in October for the US, and in about seven years for you scum who live in lesser countries"
- Ireland, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1So you're not on board then?
- frogpelt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Braggart...
- Rixta, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Actually you are right, I did sounds like a bit of a dick didn't I....didn't mean to.
- harmonix, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1As much as I hate getting sucked into more mac rumors, it would be very cool if this and the rental rumors were true.
I want to like the Apple TV, but I can't justify getting one since I don't hack hardware and I'm not willing to watch crappy youtube quality video on my TV.
Apple TV has been ignored, which is a shame since it has cool possibilities to become the media hub of the average computer user, it just needs some good quality (by this I mean both content and resolution) and I'm in. I would LOVE to rent high quality movies over my computer and stream them to my TV . Better yet, I would love to have a system that my wife could use without calling me.
And mark my words, some day in the not TOO distant future, I'll be able to stream my HD content to my Apple TV from my 80 gig iPhone with 50 hour battery life. Wait...I think I just started another Mac rumor. - HUKI365, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2In fairness to the poster, it was better than saying "gr8".
- Ireland, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1New 720p resolution, $1.99 per episode for existing AppleTV.
New 1080p with Dolby Surround sound, $2.99 per episode for new model Apple TV with slot-load standard DVD drive for playing all your old DVD's too. - Morky, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1No, he's training a new prep-cook on how to shred cheese.
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Still waiting for itunes videos here in Canada, come on tv networks let them sell us your product. Until then, we continue to watch it online or over the air for free.
- JesseJ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1720 is not HD
- jamesov89, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0hopefully they can play off of your computer also. i have an hd 17 inch macbok pro.
- ilgaz, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I don't even have hope of buying anything from Apple as a guy living in Istanbul so I look elsewhere, other solutions as Vuze which doesn't discriminate my country.
I suggest you do the same. - TheRealDeal, on 10/10/2007, -6/+5Hope this is true. Also, hope that this will be launched in Canada. I have the sneaking suspicion that I will be disappointed on both counts.
- Moviespo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I still don't have HD...When I iwatch tv its for the content/story line..Just don't get it...Whe're 1.1.2 update for the i~phone...
- SavageOwnage, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Apple is so not original.
The (ms) Xbox marketplace has had hd movies for awhile now!
Can apple come up with their own good ideas and not steal microsofts? - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -7/+2This is grate!
- tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -8/+1My pipes aren't big enough for HD.
- quomen, on 10/10/2007, -12/+4Shucks for no 1080p.. Would love full res movies on my 24 incher.
