- fintheman, on 10/12/2007, -18/+112Hey, guys.........We have all seen our favorite spammer, this guy "More info on the topic: http://www.myspace.com/911falseflagop"
I decided to take action and let's see if the collective power of Digg can get him kicked off myspace and his precious profile with over 9k friends will be kicked off.
Go here: http://collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=misc.contactInput&ProfileContentID=2453464
And report him like this.

- michaelb1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+61Dugg for being a mac rumor. Havn't seen one of those since I refreshed the digg homepage 5 minutes ago.
- mrfunktastic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+55They are full of Zunes
- WiZZLa, on 10/12/2007, -29/+73The big news will be the appearance of a turtleneck-less Steve Jobs, or they'll head in the opposite direction by announcing the iTurtleneck, so you too can look like Stevie J.
- Kriz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+43"Oh! I hear that there is a LEOPARD at the zoo!!"
fixed. - Hydraulix, on 10/12/2007, -3/+41God, I wish it was big boxes of bright red delicious apples. It would be so ***** literal.
- DelMonte, on 10/12/2007, -3/+40fintheman:
Cool... Now we know how easy it is to have someone you hate kicked off myspace...
Just spam on digg the myspace URL of someone you don't like , and the digg army will kick his ass and make sure he gets banned!
And I'm not saying this crazy conspiracy site was worthy or that people that hated it spammed the URL, but just remain careful people, digg could become a dangerous social weapon... - 96kHzSampleRate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+33digitallysick:
I hope you are right, now that would be funny.
"Oh and one more thing...... the new iPod in brown" - PyroKittens, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33Apple always does something big at macworld, so saying they are is redundant, its like saying "Oh! I hear that there is a lion at the zoo!!"
- tainedhero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30Well duh, The apples would be much better designed. Much sleeker. Faster running. And have much less viruses.
They would also cost twice that of normal apples. But look at that gloss.... Yum.
Oh, They would be white too. Dont ask how. - sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -10/+36"Damn, if apple was a person (heck even Steve Jobs) they could run for president and win."
If Steve Jobs met Chuck Norris the Universe as we know it would kick its own ass and implode, only to recreate a universe 20% larger and much sleeker than its predecessor. All life in the universe, however, would wear black turtlenecks. - oskite, on 10/12/2007, -4/+29There's no lion at the Alaska Zoo. And apparently they're trying to take away our elephant too. :( Stupid animal rights groups, acting like it's too cold here. Imagine that.
- Berkana, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25@frankie4fingers:
Apple hasn't announced anything (except for iTV), so you can't really say Apple is 99% hype. Apple doesn't even acknowledge the existence of the mutant hybrid iPod phone. All the hype surrounding Apple comes from too-eager *fans*, not Apple. In fact, Apple goes to great pains to not announce and not hype anything they do (with the rare exception of iTV), and has sued in the past to try to get fans to shut up about what they may or may not be announcing at WWDC and Macworld Expo.
The ironic thing is, Apple can get far more and far better publicity doing nothing at all while other companies can spending millions on an advertising campaign and not get a fraction of what Apple gets. - dunezone, on 10/12/2007, -5/+24"Listen I know this guy, he's got a new phone."
- combatchuck, on 10/12/2007, -7/+25You're right. Apple didn't innovate at all. iMac, USB adoption, Firewire, laptops that nobody has been able to match, a commercially viable (not to mention desktop-ready) UNIX, Mac mini, REAL ACTUAL INTERFACE RULES, zeroconf, and the entire iPod revolution (there's a reason they call it "the iPod revolution") among many other things. Xerox may have came up with the concept of the mouse, but to call Apple a copycat and not a true innovator is the equivalent of saying that since Karl Benz invented the first car, everybody else that makes cars has never innovated. How stupid is that?
- Lazyboy0172, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19did you really just put (spelling?)?..to the left of that 'submit comment' button is one that says 'check spelling'. If you're ever unsure about your spelling, just click on that button BEFORE the submit comment button, and the Gods of digg will talk to you right through the screen and consult you on your spelling catastrophe.
- rockforever, on 10/12/2007, -9/+23Damn, if apple was a person (heck even Steve Jobs) they could run for president and win.
- oskite, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15I hope you didn't mean actual 'red delicious' apples, but were using it as an adjective. Obviously a macintosh apple would be the only appropriate type. But they bruise way too easily and couldn't be shipped.
In all seriousness, red delicious apples taste like ***** compared to macintoshes. - mrfunktastic, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16that's so exciting!!!!!
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+19*sigh* I'm a big Apple fan and all, but this passing as news is pretty lame. Of course something big's gonna happen - it's MacWorld.
Saying something big is gonna happen at MacWorld is like saying "BIG NEWS: Kevin Rose to drink more beer tomorrow" - colincornaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13"-There will likely be leopard (OS10.5) ready to ship"
I highly doubt it. Apple would not release an operating system without giving a date well beforehand. Can you imagine the problems this would cause for developers? They'll have a date for 10.5 to ship, but it won't be out right away. - michaelb1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I just hope Apple stock hits $100 this year, and stays there.
- shortarabguy, on 10/12/2007, -11/+22For ease of not clicking on the duggmirror link, here's the alleged dialogue:
i've got some news... i work at a freight company up in canada and we handle stuff for apple... this past week, we had 5x the usual volume of apple freight we handle
i guess they are coming out with something HUGE
xxxxx1: did u take a peak inside the apple boxes? smile.gif
xxxxx2: they were sealed inside crates
xxxxx1: darn, thought u could be an inside source wink.gif
xxxxx2: usually we are supposed to do an item/package count to make sure that the number on the packing list and the actual number of items match... we were not allowed to do that this time round
xxxxx1: damn, apple has control of everything smile.gif
xxxxx1: put it on an xray machine, see what is inside it
xxxxx2: we didn't even get the packing list... alll we were told that there are supposed to be this many skids of these dimensions weighing this many pounds sad.gif
damn lol
xxxxx2: all of those are scheduled for monday evening delivery to the various stores... some even late night
xxxxx1: oh man, now we all know apple is announcing something
xxxxx2: i had exactly the same feeling
xxxxx2: and it's gonna be HUGE
xxxxx1: I would sense that
xxxxx1: so it had the weight of it on the box?
xxxxx2: i have no idea how many boxes there were in the skids... usually we have that number to make sure nothing went missing in transit
xxxxx2: most of the apple freight we handle are less than 5 lbs. per piece
Digg up if you read it, Digg down if you eat kittens. ( I can't lose!) - danisse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10So, basically the story is that Apple is announcing... something. OK, then.
- d2nd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9i dont think you understand the stock market
- Frost9999, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10@zybch - Getting excited about something, or being affected by the marketing of something, does not detract from 'having a life'. Please feel free to share your amazing life with us, when you're done randomly insulting people.
- fanclerks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Would you like A1 or BBQ sauce on that hat?
- Daiken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8If Apple sold actual apple seeds everyone would buy em...
- ngmcs8203, on 10/12/2007, -8/+16@fintheman
Looks like he's been deleted. - combatchuck, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Microsoft market cap: 291 BN
Apple market cap: 73 BN
All the lower share price means for MS is that your share buys a smaller piece. Microsoft is a VERY profitable company. Scale the graph out to 6 months and you'll see steady growth at Microsoft, at nearly twice the volume of Apple. To say that Microsoft stock is going nowhere, is a retarded thing to say. Go learn something.
Just because you don't LIKE MS, doesn't mean they don't make money. They make tons of money. Just get over it. - knaps, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7=P I hate this.
It's like, walking out on xmas eve and seeing a box by the tree that's as big as you are. But then your family tells you that you're not allowed to open it until the following morning. - GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Make it run on the PS3? Yes! What a great idea! Apple shuts itself off from other computer companies. Why would they give Apple geeks a reason to buy a Sony product? Sony manufactures PCs.
- theducks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You can ask the FCC to embargo release of OET approval until a certain date, which Apple traditionally does
- winnch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This is ridiculous. It's clearly a phony conversation (no pun intended). First, he's a friend, but his friend has to tell him what he does for a living? Second, PEOPLE don't count upwards of 100,000 packages to "make sure they're all there." Last,
- Hydraulix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Yep, I was using it as a adjective. The macintosh apple is second to none. :)
- dashiel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6no way will leopard be shipping, not even close. we haven't seen an release candidate yet, hell we haven't even seen the final beta stage yet. my guess is we see the "top secret" features of leopard including a brand new UI.
- plgonzalez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6OMG.. I have a friend who has a friend who works in shipping... maybe its the same guy!
- esquilax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6thread over. :)
- suppazone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That convo seems so freaking fake. All made up - who the hell talks like that. If that was his friend why would he have to start of the convo by telling him what he does and where he lives? Don't you friend already know that?
- venicerocco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Not a chance. No way. That is not Apple. Not in a millions years would there spokes person say anything like that. Uh, uh, nuh uh. *wags finger* *shakes head*
- lysdexia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5So let me get this right - we have a rumour about something that might be for sale?
- HalBSure, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools.
- foxymcfox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Mac OS X has a built in spell checker that checks your spelling as you type. I use it constantly. It is a Godsend.
- ahatter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4remember you HEAR with your EAR.
- combatchuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Betcha they'd split again.
- canyonblue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Let me call it right now...
1 .iTV will be released.
2. iPhone WILL NOT be released, this will be saved for a special keynote in the next 1-5 months.
3. New iPods WILL NOT be released, again these will be saved for special music only keynotes over the course of the year.
4. It's Macworld, there will be something new that no one is talking about... new Macs. Perhaps a iMac or mac mini replacement?
5. Release date of Leopard plus a demo will be given.
6. iWork/iLife 07 will ship.
I can't believe how people are convincing themselves that this Macworld will be all about iPods and phones... it won't. It will be about Leopard and Macs... perhaps with iTV thrown in. - sonofalink, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Granny smith apples, sliced and eaten with slices of sharp cheddar cheese.

What is Digg?
