- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I was just about to buy a regular macbook. Good thing I didn't, I'm waiting for leopard anyways.

- RockinRoel, on 10/10/2007, -5/+3You sound just like Steve Jobs.
- mkameli, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Do not want. The new iMac's glossy screen is not appealing to me at all.
- mptre, on 10/10/2007, -24/+1I really hope we will see a new MacBook on tuesday. Btw does anyone know if there's a keynote one tuesday?
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16actually it was last tuesday. but since you missed it, all history of it happening is being withheld from you.
- iFungus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2You know what, I hope the quantum personal computer is announced next Tuesday, but probably by the Tuesday after.
- akf2000, on 10/17/2007, -9/+261***** Apple! I bought mine 2 years ago and now they release a new one, where's my store credit, what's Steve's email address, who is the president, WHAT YEAR IS IT? GET YOUR DAMN DIRTY PAWS OFF OF ME

- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -14/+8Here, have some kool-aid. it'll help.
- airiox, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20If they release this macbook and its priced below 1,000 I'll be at the apple store the morning of to preorder.
- DanH, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7there's this new thing called the internet...
- dragon76, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5The Apple Store online and physical Apple Stores have an entirely different stock allotment. You're more likely to get an Apple product by going to an Apple store than ordering online.
- mydigga, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I'm pretty sure you'll get it either way.
- mydigga, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24Below $1000? I guess you can sleep in that morning.
- CountSessine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It'll be the same price as the current macbook, with bumped specs.
- DanH, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7there's this new thing called the internet...
- championchap, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Yeah, i thought a new MacBook was overdue for a little while now, so ive been waiting for that before I jump on the bandwagon. May even hold off for Leopard.
- xintel, on 10/10/2007, -12/+2I hope Apple comes out with this pronto - I want to swap it for the new MacBook I just bought!
Simply beautiful & beautifully simple...ahh I still respect Steve.- Rileyper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Don't expect all your $200 back
- DaemonNivas, on 10/10/2007, -27/+11It is "Aluminium" not "Aluminum", and it is "Nuclear" not "Nucular".
- NeoRicen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22No one spells Nuclear Nucular, they just pronounce it that way. Aluminum is both pronounced and spelt Aluminum and Aluminium depending where you are. Aluminum isn't an idiot pronouncing Aluminium, it's just an alternative spelling. Hell Safari is giving me spelling errors for Aluminium.
- championchap, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Aluminium was the correct word first though, then Aluminum was accepted as an alternative later on.
"The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) adopted aluminium as the standard international name for the element in 1990, but three years later recognized aluminum as an acceptable variant. Hence their periodic table includes both, but places aluminium first.[27] IUPAC officially prefers the use of aluminium in its internal publications, although several IUPAC publications use the spelling aluminum.[28]"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminium#Spelling
I know I know, Wikipedia as a source is kinda frowned upon, but there it is.
- championchap, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Aluminium was the correct word first though, then Aluminum was accepted as an alternative later on.
- madskjaer, on 10/10/2007, -11/+3You're right. But still... People could care less :P
- samdu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"couldn't"
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -14/+4Apple is an AMERICAN compnay, not a ***** British company.
The UK isn't the center of the ***** world, jackass.- TeebZ, on 10/10/2007, -6/+3The US isn't the center of the world either, and seeing as the rest of the world (most of it) spell it aluminium (or closely resembling), it would be preferable to spell it that way. At least on the internet.
- macattacks10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Because dropping an "i" isn't closely resembling it...
- TeebZ, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Didn't think of that =P But still, most of the world spell it with the "-ium" ending (according to wikipedia).
- centerblack, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1R O C K!
ooooooohhhhh, the k is silent!
- macattacks10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Because dropping an "i" isn't closely resembling it...
- MaxPayne3476, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1wow...Teebz, don't look up, theres a joke going over your head. Woosh!
- TeebZ, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1hehe, seems like it went over a lot of peoples heads (including mine) ^^ assuming that it is a joke.
- TeebZ, on 10/10/2007, -6/+3The US isn't the center of the world either, and seeing as the rest of the world (most of it) spell it aluminium (or closely resembling), it would be preferable to spell it that way. At least on the internet.
- TeebZ, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Come on now, we all now that both spellings are fine, we've been over this before.
Although I must say I prefer the more international "Aluminium". - msgyrd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminium
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/aluminium
The alternate spelling, Aluminum, is the SECOND word on the wiki page and the first alternate spelling in the dictionary. If you're going to be a nitpicking jackass, at least crawl out from beneath the rock you've been living under for the last century. - habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -7/+10THE CORRECT ANSWER IS NOONE ***** CARES
- samdu, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5The second correct answer is that "no one" is two words. :)
- Papajohn56, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2ding ding ding we have a winner
- MadOtaku, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1I didn't mean to digg you. Damn my lazy-ass clicking.
lol ass-clicking.
- NeoRicen, on 10/10/2007, -1/+35Makes complete sense. Apple has been phasing out their white plastic products and replacing them with Aluminum silver products.
A move I first hated but now love (thanks to my new iMac).
The new iMac and iPod classics were an indication to me that any MacBook revision would result in Aluminum Black and Silver designs.
Now I'm going to hold off on a MacBook purchase and see how this rumour turns out. Here's hoping for a repeal on the Black Tax.- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8and no more palm stains on the plastic.
- diggimator, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I heard that problem was already fixed with the second revision. Of course any material on Earth can stain to some degree, I suppose, but I heard that it was changed to material that less easily stains.
- TheSolomon, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I would be surprised if they made such a major revamp to the traditional MacBook line before the Pro line. Aside from the guts inside and other tweaks (screen option, camera, etc.), the chassis for the Pros has been the same since before the name change from PowerBook. (The iBook/MacBook at least got the two-color treatment.)
I think its far more likely the MacBook Pros will get a major revision (slimmer w/ new keyboard, new touchpad, etc.), and some of those features will eventually trickle-down to the non-Pro line. That's how it has always been in the past.- samdu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5If it's a cosmetic change, I don't think there's a problem with changing the consumer line before the pro line.
- superal1394, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Why change what works so well? thats what I ask on the MBP. If they can just keep upgrading the internals, packing more into that space, I am comfortable with the size and feel of my MBP.
Although I would love a 13 inch MBP
- dragon76, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Apple has always introduced enhancements to the consumer line first. Colours, AirPort, iSight, USB…nothing new.
- wallykid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2the brushed aluminum texture on the back of the iPhone is beautiful. love the tasteful use of shiny contrasted with matte on the new products: shiny screens, matte body (whereas the previous iMac had a white shiny enclosure and matte screen). Also the mix of charcoal and platinum we see in the convergence of the top mac products...a great interplay of design elements in the new apple look. i marveled at the white plastic designs (which are still very cool in my opinion, very space age retro minimalist)...but damn! it keeps getting better.
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8and no more palm stains on the plastic.
- ModernTenshi, on 10/10/2007, -6/+9Great, and I just bought the high end pasty white one three weeks ago. Love it, but if this ends up being true in a few months, I will be mildly annoyed.
Love the machine though, best computer I've owned so far. - hausome, on 10/10/2007, -18/+7...and will they be equipped with USB 3.0?
- Twee, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4There's no USB 3.0 devices out there yet. Hell, I can't find anything that even uses Firewire 800.
- samuelcotterall, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9I'm a big fan of the white Macs, but I get the impression that Apple are trying to shake off their consumer image and making everything Pro, just some things more Pro than others.
Although it makes even the low end Macs look more appealing to new users, I wonder how many people are replacing their G5 PowerMacs and G4 PowerBooks with Intel iMacs and MacBooks.- msgyrd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Most people will be by now, the intel switch was 2 years ago, they're starting to age anyways, and things are becoming more and more optimized for intel. PPC still works, but using my 1Ghz G4 side by side with my Core2 Duo is like night and day.
- habbofresh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I've replaced my G4 iBook with a 17" 'Pro. I can understand if you have a first generation Core Duo you may still want to wait or you're on the fence, But unless you're specifically attached to a PPC binary and don't believe in Rosetta, the choice to upgrade is a rather easy decision to make. .
- samuelcotterall, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1My point isn't about the architecture, it's about Apple's pricing.
A friend of mine bought the 12" PowerBook G4 just days before the 13" MacBook was released for considerably less. A few studios I know are buying 24" iMacs rather than MacPros w/ 23" Cinema Displays because the iMacs are cheaper and do the job just fine. - jttin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0So, there still many DTPers stick to their beloved Pagemaker, which is never carbonize or cocoarized.
- samuelcotterall, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1My point isn't about the architecture, it's about Apple's pricing.
- zman14321, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Yeah, besides linux distros are pretty terrible on ppc, trust me. You need x86 to get flash and the majority of cool programs.
- NeoRicen, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I don't think they're necessarily shaking of their pro image, it's just that their white products have been ripped off for ages now and it's more an indication of a cheap knockoff than a quality Apple product. Its the same with the 'i' prefix. The only reason they used it for the iPhone (and not the Apple TV) was to capitalize on the iPod name, even though it's hardly a unique Apple thing anymore.
- sm4llphry, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I have been waiting for a reason to get rid of my clunky 17" dell for something lighter and smaller. I have also wanted a macbook. I can't wait to see them in the stores!
- firstkipchak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0are you saying that you have a 17 inch laptop?!
in which case, can i have it?
for money?
lots?!
- firstkipchak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0are you saying that you have a 17 inch laptop?!
- lukeo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5This is about the most obvious of their future revisions... clearly they have been phasing out the white plastic for the aluminium due to 1. trying to make them look more badass and suitable for a workplace, and 2. environmental issues.
the fact that the macbook is next is not a particularly hard thing to guess, though if they really have a source telling them this is 100% and soon, good news for all, bad news for me and my new white macbook. - bpapa, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I'm with them on the colors thing. It's been awhile since Apple got crazy with colors on computers - it works with iPod, bring it back for MacBooks!
- avihappy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Then it gets tacky.
- BrendanM14, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I have been waiting since August to buy my first Mac (white macbook) since my Performa 6110. I figured I might as well wait until October for Leopard.....Now it looks like i have to wait more....DAMN YOU APPLE!!! I just want to get my friggin Macbook already! Can't you see my $$$$ is burning a hole in my pocket!!!!
- dragon76, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5If you are always waiting for The Next Big Thing you'll be waiting forever. I personally don't see an update to Apple's consumer Macs until Jan mainly because it is not in Apple's upgrade cycle but if they think they can sell a lot of portables for the holidays, it could happen.
- Rudiger81, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Should wait until the new quad cores come out, then it will be bad ass. Then if your going to wait for that wait for them to be touch screen. Oh then you should wait for the next OS to come out - Cheetah! Then if your going to wait for that...
- Wilddigi, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0LOL Apple fanboy crying again
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2He hasn't bought a mac in about 15 years, and he's a fanboy?
DIAF
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2He hasn't bought a mac in about 15 years, and he's a fanboy?
- exomni, on 10/10/2007, -7/+0I wonder if they'll be releasing a new Silver and Black mini-mac.
I also hope they get one of these Macbooks priced under $800.- macpro2006, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13less then $800!!!!! are you kidding me. When pigs fly.
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Yeah, why would you expect Apple to offer a laptop in the price range of every other PC maker?
- MadOtaku, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1You can't get something like a MacBook for under $1000.
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -3/+2Yeah, why would you expect Apple to offer a laptop in the price range of every other PC maker?
- macpro2006, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13less then $800!!!!! are you kidding me. When pigs fly.
- hackntossh, on 08/27/2008, -15/+7"***** Apple! I bought mine 2 years ago and now they release a new one, where's my store credit, what's Steve's email address, who is the president, WHAT YEAR IS IT? GET YOUR DAMN DIRTY PAWS OFF OF ME"
You forgot, "DON'T TASE ME BRO"- proliance, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5"That's not a hair question."
- fLUx1337, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16*****.....no chance I'm buying a MacBook now then...
HOPEFULLY these are being released at the same time as Leopard, as thats what I was waiting for...
But it seems this is one of those products which if they announce now, to be released when leopard ships......their macbook sales will drop! So it will be released and start shipping the same week me thinks.
Damn apple, I hate how they announce stuff, why can't they just tell everyone in advance, because these roumors go around like this, and if it isn't true, people will just keep waiting, thus lowering the amount of sales....- Audiophile27, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Because Then Everyone wont buy a new macbook until the new models and total stagnation in profits
- imamessy1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2This is something that's more likely to tie in at Mac World. That's just my guess. Most totally new machines (much less an entire new line) would have a much larger announcement than just tacking it onto an OS release.
- centerblack, on 10/10/2007, -10/+2Ugh... what an attention whore. I don't understand why people can't keep their mouths shut until the release date.
- KevinLiu, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Multitouch touchpad?
- CATSCEO, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I want that.
- mollerade, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5 = definite maybe.
- superkendall, on 10/10/2007, -9/+3Touchpads are already multi-touch... they have been for years. How do you think two-fingered scrolling works?
- time4evacuation, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Exactly.. Now, a dual-screened MacBook with multi-touch and the virtual keyboard, that would be interesting.
- arjung, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3i think he means the fact that the touchpad doesnt know things like where your fingers are and cant do more than two fingers and cant do the finger pinch iphone thing.
- Stirk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Perhaps all it will take is a software update? It can already recognize input from two fingers.
- Jonh, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Multitouchpad ?
- antoni, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4My Macbook Pro I'm using right now is multitouch touchpad... I use two fingers to scroll...
- preshit, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Just when I was going to make the jump and go for the white MacBooks ... this is what they're cooking up. I love you Apple ! Now I can never make the jump fearing either a pricecut or a newer model.
- macpro2006, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1*****! I had my laptop since the day it came out. Ugh. Now I want this one. I spent all my money on my iPhone though. Price kills!
- Chewky, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I never get gear the day it comes out. You pay a premium when you do that.
- Respec7, on 10/10/2007, -4/+3Wonderful i just bought a macbook...
- mikeyp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I know the feeling. I bought an iMac 20 inch 6 weeks before they released the aluminum ones. It hurts!
- CATSCEO, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1As did I, but I'm not hurting.
- mikeyp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I know the feeling. I bought an iMac 20 inch 6 weeks before they released the aluminum ones. It hurts!
- rowlodge, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8my sister bought one of those imacs just before the new things came out, like apple does this for laughs.
- Protoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5She could trade it in if it was within 14 or so days.
- ace1220, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1The black, white, and gray laptops are so Apple. They can't change the colors!
- earthling3000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3did you forget about the first imacs and the array of colors with that?
- airwalk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Apple didn't think so, even in 2004:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/08/16/apple_colo ...
Color changing cases... I've been waiting for that one since I've heard about it.
- earthling3000, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3did you forget about the first imacs and the array of colors with that?
- blogger123, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I didn't think the MacBook could get any thinner, and pack an equivalent punch. I find the current MacBooks portable enough and extremely capable of everything I have thrown at it so far,
but as we have already heard
"you can't be too thin or two powerful"- fishbert, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6poor me ... fat and helpless. =(
- TridenTBoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1"two powerful" ??? Is it really two?
- mikeyp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Macbooks are due for an upgrade. Sure they went to slightly faster CPU's a few months ago but I believe all Macbooks will go to Santa Rosa chipset just like the 15 and 17 inch Macbook Pro's. I don't see any logical reason to have Macbook Pro's updated now. I believe that Apple did mention something about Mac Pro's being updated soon as well.
Anyhow, the fact is that Apple sells more Macbooks than any other OSX computer. These new Macbook's will seal the deal and literally put a serious dent in all other laptop manufacturers . I have been holding off my Macbook purchase for months waiting for the upgrade and Leopard release.- Protoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5The one thing that seriously needs to be upgraded in the Macbook is the video card, and AFAIK, Santa Rosa will give it a much better card.
- mikeyp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0could not agree with that more. I would love to see the X3100 on there. Not a great integrated GPU but much better than the current and pathetic GMA 950. Plus, if you care to run WindowsXP/Vista, its DX10 compatible.
- Protoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5The one thing that seriously needs to be upgraded in the Macbook is the video card, and AFAIK, Santa Rosa will give it a much better card.
- fak3r, on 10/10/2007, -9/+1I'd be down with an 'aggressively priced' metal MacBook - but anything above 1000$US would be silly IMO. The latest Dell Vostro 1500 run Linux far better than a MacBook would - unless Apple pulls out a surprise. (wouldn't it be nice to be able to order an Apple with only FreeDOS installed! ;))
- Topher06, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0Its about time, they haven't change the look of their laptops in over 4 years. Yeah the macbook was a new design to replace the iBook, but it's a plastic version of the Aluminum Powerbook's they came out with over 4 years ago. Apple doesn't even hold the crown anymore for the thinnest lightest notebook, Dell even has one thinner and lighter then a Mac. With Apple's recent focus on shrinking everything and making everything metal and thin, I look forward to a new design. I hope they also design new MacBook Pro's around the same concept.
My biggest concern is for the new chicklet style keyboard they mention will be on it. Apple does seem to put more emphasis on asthetics rather then ergonomics, so while this new design looks pleasing, a lot of people hate the chicklet keyboard. The keyboard on the old PowerBooks and Macbook Pros are absolutely perfect for a notebook and I would hate for Apple to ruin it just to gain some design points on their competition.- firsttube, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I've been using the "chicklet" style keyboard since May of 2006 on the original macbook. It kicks ass. Glad it was my first laptop ever, because the keyboard is perfect.
- britno03, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Hmm… yeah… you're so smart and you know the opinion of every single mac user on this planet! I LOVE my chicklet keyboard and it honestly feels weird if I'm typing on a keyboard similar to those of the old Power Books. I think many others feel the same way.
- pabloD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Same here. As a matter of fact, I was so happy with my MacBook keyboard, that I bought one of the new chicklet keyboards for my desktop system as well. Everything else feels clunky and clumsy in comparison now, not to mention dirty... the new kb's are so damn easy to keep spotless!
- alanjsk, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9I have heard they will not have CD drives, but are we ready for that?
- ChromaVita, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4That is false. why would any computer company do that?
- jsauter, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2I can see why the wouldn't have a CD drive...
Now that most new drives are DVD. ;) - superjanna, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7To make it super-duper thin. Apple's even patented funky ducking technology for things like usb or firewire connections to allow for a ridiculously thin notebook...
- arjung, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5i would buy it without a dvd drive if the harddrive was bigger. just rip movies onto your hard drive for plane rides and use an external when you are at home.
maybe because i dont use my macbook for work, but i think it would be worth the weight/size drop.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/10/2007, -5/+3Accurate what? The "accurate" pre-release word was the Touch used a hard drive.
- CATSCEO, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4its still damn close
- kyc050564, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2They never said that it would come with a hard disk.

- deusbrackers, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I'm hoping it's released on the same day they unvail Leopard so I can treat myself to one for my birthday
What do we think about that touchpad? Maybe the multi-touch laptop pad patent they filed a while back? - Marc212005, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1So finally the announcment that I've been waiting for ... sorrry rumor. It makes logical sence that they would upgrade the MacBooks as it is the only computer (besides the MacMini) that hasn't seen a face lift in while. Plus it would complete the product transformation that seems to be occuring at apple. 90% of there products are currently alluminum and it seems only reasonable that the MacBook was next.
Can't wait to hear more on this, good job team at 9to5mac!- superjanna, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Actually the mini's just got refreshed last month...
- pabloD, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And as far as facelifts go, the G5 / MacPro chasis is getting quite long in the tooth...
- Kitsune818, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Maybe it's time to replace my 500Mhz G3 "IceBook".. I just don't dig the MacBooks as they are though. Too bland, like old school PowerBooks.
- Shaggy3, on 10/10/2007, -4/+1I still don't understand why they didn't do something to the Might Mouse when they completely redesigned the keyboard.
- urbanprofanity, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2And I just bought a current Macbook. That's technology for you, eh Mr Jobs. Ah well, it's still awesome and should be for a good while yet. =)
- miniboss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8It's not a stretch to expecct an aluminum Macbook since the Macbook is the last product to be sporting white still. But what I really want is a better video card option. I love my Macbook but the video card is probably the only weakpoint of this machine.
- Protoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The Santa Rosa chipset comes with a much better Intel card, or so I'm told.
- applebyte, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9Digg really needs a rumor section.
- abid786, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10It's called the Apple section.
- dcingraham, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4I read that they are set to be priced "extremely aggressively" and unfortunately I wonder if that means more "whining" macbooks and macbook pros, uneven backlighting issues, and discoloring external case problems, along with whatever other surprises Apple has waiting for us. We used to not have to worry about this stuff with Apple. I guess times have changed.
- darkism, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3Whew, I'm glad I got my white plastic MacBook a few months ago. I really dislike the aluminum look that seems to be Apple's new kick.
- wellgroomednerd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Dang, that really sucks. I'm getting a new macbook today for college. Oh well.
- dkla, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3What about the Mac Minis? Will they ever be updated?
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2They were updated with the release of the new iPods...
- zioxide, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2iMacs you mean. Minis got bumped to C2D when the new iMac was released.
- airwalk, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Interesting touchpad, huh? http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/07/07/16/appl ...
- oneSaint, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2You guys should probably be thinking about if they are going to leave out a dvd drive from the equation... CD drive = thickness!
- qpdb, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I think they should remove the cd drives from the lowest Macbook pros before they get rid of the cd drive on the macbooks. Pro users/ Apple geeks are ready to have an external disc drive at home.
- Davve, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1They better aggresively price these if I'm going to buy one. I've held off on buying a replacement for my iBook G4 just because of pricing (and Leopard delays).
- Photar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I believe the optical drive accounts for 9mm of height.
- RooDoG, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And now I wait, I really want a Apple Laptop now...
- c0d3z3r0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I just hope the screens are LED lit and are closer to the quality of the ones on the mbp.
