You can just marry a women who doesn't give a ***** what you look at on the internet as long as you are still making her show you that O face on a regular basis. - praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -2/+58I just have Firefox set to clear all private data on exit.
- tomarocco, on 10/11/2007, -1/+55Dear Earl,
It's 2007, not 1997.
Sincerely,
The Rest of the World. - snypa, on 10/11/2007, -28/+73Or you could just use CCleaner, cleans history, cache, cookies etc, only check what you want deleted, and you can choose cookies to keep e.g. cookies for forums, etc. Bloody useful thing this is, been using it for years.
www.ccleaner.com - meteors, on 10/11/2007, -5/+49Or you could form a healthy relationship with a woman and jerk off a little less.

This is why I like firefox so much. I can have a basic set of features and then only have the overhead of random things like stealth/private browsing if I really desire. - geoken, on 10/11/2007, -9/+48Actually, there was already a zero day released for Safari.
- jon419, on 10/11/2007, -0/+38Probably cause Safari Browser is now released for Windows..... /facepalm
- lithuin, on 10/11/2007, -12/+46I've always said Mac users are a bunch of wankers!
Zing! ;) - omarciddo, on 10/11/2007, -2/+34I want to digg this, but my digg profile isn't exactly set to private.
- Satanael, on 10/11/2007, -4/+35I don't think it mentioned anything about it being new...

"Safari ain't all that, as this Windows beta has now proven to the rest of us."
A beta doesn't 'prove' anything. Judge the final release. - smcavoy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+31new to windows users of Safari 3beta
- RTPMatt, on 10/11/2007, -5/+31"If you have to hide your porn, you either live at home with your parents or you're a pussy."
Spoken like a guy who doesn't have to deal with it. she knows I like and use porn frequently, I just don't want her bringing up the fact that i was looking for "chicks with large boobs" etc... I like porn, she knows it, I don't want to talk about it, I want to give her as little fuel as possible...That being said, the fact that i can bring up something on a firefox menu and click delete and it goes away is very nice...and Stealther - cbreaker, on 10/11/2007, -5/+31Ohh boo hoo! If you can't handle using the easiest plug-in web site in the world, where you can install them with a single-click, and that automatically get updated as part of the browser - then you really need to put down the mouse and go back to playing with Duplo blocks.
*****. - thebellmaster1x, on 10/11/2007, -4/+30@EarlOfLade
THIS JUST IN:
You don't have to pay for porn on the internet. - nusuni, on 10/11/2007, -1/+26You can clear your cache and cookies all your want, but what about the hairy palms?
- Innagadadavida, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25Yeah, neither are your comments!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -25/+47If you have to hide your porn, you either live at home with your parents or you're a pussy.
Stand up to your wives, girlfriends, tell them to STFU. And trust me, whether you admit it or not, a woman who hates porn has some mental issues, as evident by other jealousy, self-esteem, or possessive/obsessive issues in your relationship. Hit the nail on the head, didn't I?
Porn is fun, no need to hide it. - justintime32, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23Firefox under a Linux Live CD. After you reboot, there's no trace of what you did whatsoever.
- Eccles, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21There's plenty of free stuff on the web too, and often a better interface (thumbnails, etc.) Er, or so I've heard.
- mingistech, on 10/11/2007, -4/+24The Zero Day claims come from the David Maynor who (in)famously called-out Apple with a MacBook WiFi hack only to be disproved.
- iEnigma, on 10/11/2007, -7/+27Or, just use the Distrust Firefox extension.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1559 - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -13/+32airquotes:
I don't see people suggesting 12 apps to replace this one. I see them suggesting individual apps that each have more privacy features than Safari, or simply have a smaller memory footprint. It just so happens that there are many such individual apps, and many choices to choose from, whether it's a tiny little addon for Firefox (a far more superior browser than Safari), or external apps like CC Cleaner that do a LOT more than just clean your internet cache.
I think your fanboy hat is on too tight. Safari ain't all that, as this Windows beta has now proven to the rest of us. - lithuin, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20@jaycliche
Actually, I have used Macs for years, and I was making a joke. That's what the wink was for...
Grow a sense of humor. You'll be happier and live longer. - jon419, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19"For windows users who don't know this..."
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -13/+28"A beta doesn't 'prove' anything. Judge the final release."
This kind of a public beta usually (95% of the time) shows ALL the features of the final product. The only difference between the beta and the final product is stability of the application, and various bugs and quirks in the features already present. All I'll wait for with the final release is stability (no crashes!) and how well the features work. If you're expecting them to re-write anything, or add major features at this point, don't hold your breath. - Mejogid, on 10/11/2007, -4/+18Because Apple released Safari for Windows...
- Toad008, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13"Anyone who would DIGG the parent coment down is a child molestor. Plain and simple"
Damn, I just dugg it down because I didn't think it was really relevant to anything I cared about. Interesting way to find out I actually like kiddy porn.
I'm sorry everyone for feeding the troll. I just had to post something after this absurd logic.
Plus you know, like your proof is crap.
"But Apple employees STILL DEFEND HIM" Following the link to check that took me to a website of a former developer, who doesn't sound like a current employee at all. Plus the website is from '94. Hardly counts a "Still" defending someone. Let's see, in '94 I would have been defending that Optimus Prime exists, and is super awesome. Does not mean I still will argue that they exist (might still fight for super awesome though).
Plus I don't see anything in your reference material saying he's on the payroll. He publishes his own macjournal, which they say is a decent newsletter. He argues a decent case there, and gives good evidence to support his point, and convinced the original poster to agree with him.
Wait though, I'm using logic here. That's just silly. My mistake.
Anyone who diggs this comment down is OBVIOUSLY a Decepticon. Plain and Simple. - Guard, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14Firefox can be set to clear all data on exit. Do people actually download extensions to do what firefox already does?
- Jugalator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11^-- Most people would need to pay for a good coverage of Usenet binary groups so that was a pretty weird example. Suggest PureTNA or something instead, in that case.
- schneb, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Your soul has cookies and history that you cannot clear from your cache.
- kris33, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10I think you most of you guys are missing the point. The point is NOT 1-click deletion of browsing history. The point is to not log anything from the current session and let previous cache and browsing history intact.
If I were a mother, I would be quite suspicious if the browsing history had been deleted every time my son used the computer... - omarciddo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9True, but the stories I comment on don't show up in my RSS feed. Just the dugg ones.
- starquake, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11or find a women that ocassionally likes to watch an erotic movie with you
- theantidote, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Just like anyone who doesn't support the war in Iraq is a terrorist?
That's some strong logic... - iknoritesrsly, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8or you could get a hot wife. lol :D
WAIT WHAT AM I THINKING, THIS IS DIGG WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. XD - NoCalSF, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9No, and it makes horrible business sense. Apple is the business of selling hardware. OS X is a differentiator, and keeps Apple out of the commodity (low profit) world of Wintel PC players. The purpose for Safari on Windows is to ease development of iPhone web apps, and increase standardization requirements for Safari.
- crazybrit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Nope, me too.
- ligatures, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7You're all being overly harsh. Some women don't like porn and that's perfectly fine. So instead of telling your girlfriend/wife to "STFU," you should respect her opinion and discuss it with her and come to an agreement together instead of deciding by yourself that she has "mental issues."
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11is it only me? when i saw the page title: "Tiger Bits" i read it "Bigger *****" at first.
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9Just set Firefox to clear all that data automatically upon closing and to never reopen old sessions.
- r2builder, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Nope. OS X is the heart of Apple, and is far more secure than Vista.
I think they're releasing this to the Windows community so that Safari becomes the new alternative to IE. This then will hopefully tempt people to make the switch. It worked with me after I bought my iPod and learned how robust, yet simple iTunes was. - xspinkickx, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4http://www.tuaw.com/2005/05/02/porn-mode/
^^ there you go the hack for it too. - SifooD, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Opera allows you to delete all your former private data with a click of a button. Nothing special with Safari and it doesn't run as quick as Opera.
- seeyounorth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3OR find a woman who downloads Safari 3 Beta for you...oh wait...
- FredoBerfil, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I know I'm going to get dugg down for this, but if you're intent on hiding porn use from your wife or girlfriend, you probably have some sexual compulsivity issues you should really look at.
If there wasn't anything wrong with it, you wouldn't need to hide it - after all, it's not illegal, so why do it in secret?
I'm just sayin'.... - andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It's not ok cuz America is one big prude with a side of racist.
- Tordenflesk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3To bad it doesn't show most of the text and links on the pages, so "browsing" for porn wouldn't work so well, now would it?
