- davidleeroth, on 10/11/2007, -3/+45A review ABOUT iPhone reviews?!?
my head asplode - dvsbastard, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25I graciously await a review on "iPhone Reviews" hitting the front page...
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24David's video is probably the best. Thank god it's up on Youtube since NYT was slowing down just as people were finding the review.
- dmpapwor, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Anyone know where I can get some information on the iPhone? Haven't heard a thing about it.
- DaWall, on 10/11/2007, -7/+22OK, OK, so it might actually be cool
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16"WTF, we've had this ***** for years?" - Tokyo Times
- chrisutley, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10"Please explain...I know it's sleeker and sexier and whatever...trust me...I want one. I guess I'm just wondering why NO ONE has linked the two."
Probably because the Sidekick is an abomination. It's a brick with a really gross interface. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12I suggest you don't come near digg this month dude.
- lazyink, on 10/11/2007, -8/+18"*****, this is getting old."
yup.. but i still want one.. - thatsmyaibo, on 10/11/2007, -27/+36*****, this is getting old.

$600 and no voice recognition. Weak. I still maintain that Apple missed a perfect opportunity for the use of it's virtual buttons on the touch screen. I would think Apple would have realized that being able to place your most important contacts right on the main screen of the phone would have been a no brainer. Having the ability to simply place a picture on the main screen for each of your four most used contacts and being able to click on it to make a call would have been an obvious use of the whole touch screen paradigm. Instead you get a YouTube app. WTF?? Seriously, I think Apple really dropped the ball on this feature. - kefler, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5uhh, no but I would bitch if my PHONE couldn't send pictures to my friends (non iPhone) PHONE.
- superkendall, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5For people waiting for iPhone 2.0 - think about it, this is a device with ONE PHYSICAL BUTTON and a large screen with software based controls. Buying the iPhone 1.0 *is* buying the iPhone 2.0!
If you don't like the storage space, perhaps I could see waiting for the year or two till you see another... but as far as features go, Apple always launches and then adds as they go along. We'll probably see new features at launch. - TheFinaleofSeem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Probably because the people who read the secondary sites are a vast minority compared to those who read the primary sites.
- superkendall, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4depends on the glass, and the coating. I believe my early Palm Pilot had a glass screen, and that survived a running fall onto concrete from about four feet.
Glass is actually pretty durable stuff, especially modern materials. - standmatt, on 10/11/2007, -8/+11No picture messages! What is apple thinking.
- sn00kie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5So let me get this straight, this is a site that has two videos that were on the front page of digg five minutes ago? Oh wait, it's about the iphone....dugg.
- lightningrod220, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5or next month... or the month after that... or the month after that...
- sovok, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3once
- vircity, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yeah what is this thing?
- ThinkBox, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4that review was bias as hell, it called the iPhone bulky and yet the iPhone is slimmer than the blackjack and many other smartphones. It trashes the keyboard when all other reviews say it is touch at first yet it works well and is a non issue. The "review" even admits it had very little time with the iPhone. It trashes the screensize and the browser, when no other smartphones can even come close the the screen size and ppi (160). They complain that the screen is too small to view webpages. What the hell kinda complaint is that? That reviewer didnt spend a long period of time with it, self admittedly. I think they didnt get an iPhone to review, so they were bitter, but it could be plenty of other reasons too.
- MxM111, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Right... Keep telling this..
- xjgeek, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4HOW DO YOU SELECT A LINK ON A WEBPAGE? You know, "click" on the link. You can zoom, but how do you "click"? Anybody know. I have watched every video and read every review but I still dont know.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3hey, ***** moron, not everyone wants to argue politics all the time.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2When the Angels win the pennant.
- TennisElbow, on 10/11/2007, -5/+7Apple is thinking that with every iPhone having an unlimited data plan, people will send pictures via email, myspace, flickr, etc. Do you bitch about your laptop not being able to send pictures via SMS?
- jwdav, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5You're still a sheep. Just part of a different flock, that's all.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3So cherry picking the negatives and completely ignoring the positives from numerous reviews constitutes a review? Get your head examined.
- unco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2dugg down courtesy apple inc
- JoshuaH, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4This is worse than the HdDvd code day...
- jonashwing, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2wow whats with all the upset sprint employees on digg today?
- abandonedhero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sensitive much? Sure it's completely irrelevant to the topic of discussion - but if that's the case, just bury his comment. Simple solution and you don't look like an idiot.
- unloud, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"vast minority". . . is that even possible?
- jwdav, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Given that the iPhone is software running on a hardware interface that is not that likely to change that much, pretty much anything on the initial iPhone will be updated to the current model for the foreseeable future.
The only hardware change I can see happening anytime soon might be a move away from EDGE, but the the alternatives are spotty and eat into battery life as they are now. - TheSeraph, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I'd like to know how slow AT&T's "edge" service really is.
- audiowizard, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Hey dumbass, you have to charge very p.o.s. phone at least once a day or it's battery goes to sh*t
- fantasticjon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Probably not going to be 2 days before its released.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1don't compare it to your broadband at home - it's way slower. It's like dialup 2.0.
Nice alias btw. - audiowizard, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1F*CK YOUR CRASHED SERVERS!
- sibhod, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Can 3G be added by software? That's the biggest issue I'd have.
- fantasticjon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1opiophile
i dugg you down, but now I am wondering, was that sarcasm? - Irishsnake, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Not available in Canada either-hmm o well let all their complaints about service and frustrations bother American consumers first and then when they get it right I'll consider it but for now a BlackBerry is better!
- judgeFire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I remember when even my old lowly Nokia 6600 came with copy/paste back in 2003- a damn revelation. Not only for using Opera, but when wanting to figure out mystery phone numbers etc.
Apple will no doubt be adding copy/paste at some point, as the phone is easily upgradeable through iTunes. Life without it can be surprisingly annoying. - fantasticjon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1a laundry list of features does not necessarily make a better product.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1And ceramics break real easy! Just look at all those ceramic figurines that break all the time!
Aaaaand let's ignore the other types of ceramics that are incredibly durable. Just like you ignore any kind of glass with similar properties. - Daveecee, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1EDGE ----> 3G isn't the only possible hardware update they can do.
Replaceable battery (although unlikely)
Video camera
Storage (The OS itself takes up about 1/4 of the 4GB model). -
