Quick Look Plugin for Folder
d.hatena.ne.jp — Folder.qlgenerator shows pretty good file list on Quick Look window. How do you think Quick Look view for "Folders" in Leopard? It's only huge folder icon image:-(. Developper's SiteFolder Quick Look Plugin

- thenumber8, on 11/25/2007, -0/+46someone just opened Pandora's box, expect many more user-created QuickLook plugins

It's not a hack, either :) - pintong, on 11/26/2007, -4/+2http://developer.apple.com/documentation/UserExper ...
It's not a hack, either :) - wwwluckyro, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1I hope so.

- thenumber8, on 11/25/2007, -0/+29oh also: adding this functionality to .dmgs and .isos etc that currently have no real quicklook capabilities would be sweet
- autoy, on 11/25/2007, -0/+17There's already a new one for zip files actually. Look into them without unzipping.
- Me1000, on 11/25/2007, -3/+7A link would be very nice!
- Atomic1fire, on 11/25/2007, -34/+2I dont suppose thats sarcasm since windows explorer and 7zip allready have this capabillity

- blesbok, on 11/25/2007, -13/+1No gym for home?
- PocketWatch, on 11/25/2007, -0/+12Wow. This is awesome.
- dragazis, on 11/25/2007, -0/+4Awesome. Works like a charm.
- Moviespo, on 11/25/2007, -12/+1?
- joshbudde, on 11/25/2007, -17/+0I'll pass until there's some better documentation and maybe an English developer. The translation on there is horrible, and its at best a second level source. They do link to the developers site, but its entirely in Japanese.
- avihappy, on 11/25/2007, -0/+12How hard is it? Drag the .qlgenerator into the ~/Library/Quicklook folder. Or if you want it systemwide, into the /Library/Quicklook/ folder. The plugin itself is in proper english.
- joshbudde, on 11/25/2007, -10/+0I understand the instructions well enough. But if the plugin is completely in English, why isn't the website? Seems like someone ripped it off and I would prefer to get it straight from the source.
- Audacitor, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1It supports both English and Japanese.

- thechosen, on 11/25/2007, -0/+32He has one for .zip archives too. Works very well: http://homepage.mac.com/xdd/software/zip/
- joehoyle, on 11/25/2007, -1/+13Does anyone know if there is a web directory to download other Quicklook plugins?
- Icebird, on 11/25/2007, -0/+8Wow, this is really cool. I just installed it and quicklooking folders actually makes sense now. It would be cool if you could select a file and open it by selecting it from the list though. Hopefully he adds that.

Gesundheit? - defectDS, on 11/25/2007, -2/+1Anyone have a mirror?
- DeathAxe, on 11/25/2007, -1/+1http://homepage.mac.com/xdd/software/folder/downlo ...
- DeathAxe, on 11/25/2007, -0/+4Translating this plugin in another language is very easy as well! Right click on the Folder.qlgenerator file >Show Package Contents> Contents > Resources and open Header.html in your favorite text editor.
- torsius, on 11/25/2007, -24/+0microsoft just called from 1998, they want their built-in windows functionality back.
- geoken, on 11/25/2007, -6/+9How is this workflow superior to simply clicking the folder?
- bichenoubi, on 11/26/2007, -3/+0I'm seriously asking myself the same question. If someone know the answer, please tell us.
- Firehed, on 11/25/2007, -2/+2Very cool stuff. I've spend the last short while tweaking the look to my liking (changing the table widths a bit, etc) and it's quite easy to do. One of those rare occasions I'm genuinely glad I read digg ;)
- obxjdt, on 11/26/2007, -7/+1Again, this is old hat for Linux. Just place your mouse cursor over a folder, minimized window, or text file, and it will show a small window with the content in it.
I'm surprised, for some reason I thought Mac already did this stuff, and it was just Windows that was out in the cold....- coldfusion1970, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5Not the same thing.
This shows you the graphic, spreadsheet, word processing document or PDF as a file you can page through. - cleverboy, on 11/26/2007, -0/+3Moreover, Leopard users should give this technique a look-see... Open up a Finder window with a bunch of PDFs in it. Now, select one and hit the space bar to preview it in Quicklook. Now, position the Quicklook window so that its right next to the Finder window similar to another column in column view. Now... that's a nice preview huh? Select a collection of your PDFs. See that "Index Sheet" icon that shows up? Click it. Nice, huh? This is an easy way to slideshow through your images, or just put up a locked set of images or files to review one at a time (even if they're multi-page). I'm working on a creative project with someone and this is an excellent way to review the latest character sketches, bouncing between "index sheet" and individual previews. This is really on a level I've never seen before, anywhere.
- coldfusion1970, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5Not the same thing.
- coldfusion1970, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Now if someone did a plugin for CBR and CBZ files i would be all set.
- JeFurry, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Since CBZ is simply a ZIP file with a different extension, that would be an easy change. Doesn't help for CBR files, though. Of course, this shows the contents only as thumbnails, so doesn't let you actually read your CBZ comics...
- coldfusion1970, on 12/03/2007, -0/+1You can actually zoom in and out on the "previewed" image.

- howdesign, on 11/26/2007, -0/+5I'd love a Quick Look plugin for AI/EPS files and Flash SWF's..... hello Adobe?
- wwwluckyro, on 11/26/2007, -0/+2check comment below by cardinale
- doubleforte, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Yes, EPS/AI QuickLook is something I really really really need. Adobe Bridge just doesn't do it for me.
- cardinale, on 11/26/2007, -0/+3http://homepage.mac.com/xdd/
There is one for Flash files as well- toetagger, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1Smokes!
- alexandrend, on 11/28/2007, -0/+0Quicklook is my favorite feature in Leopard and it is getting better and better.
- Virgule, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1This plugin does not work at all for me. None of his plugins work here..
If you have a clue why (besides the obvious) reply here. kthxbye- Virgule, on 12/31/2007, -0/+1I've spent an hour fiddling with the plugin to make it work. It wouldnt function at all so I post here for being out of ideas..
