I mean you can tell most of them are good looking to begin with, but not THAT good looking. Ok, Digg is not exactly the example of high culture, but c'mon guys, have a life. Brazilians and several Latin America and other 3rd World countries are notorious because of the superficial anti-americanism. I say "superficial" because they are no more than kids, they say "I hate America" but they are using american-built computers, wearing american created brands as Nike, eating american created hamburgers at Mc Donald's and Burger King, listening to american music as Ziggy or Gorillaz. So, they are only ***** around for the only sake of making themselves look "cool" - at least they "think" they are. It is even more sad to see other brazilians hook around this kind of jerk, just to jerk off together.

      I am not an american advocate. I don't like to choose teams, as in soccer - I hate this. I'd rather see other "facts": At the end of the 50's and 60's, Brazil, Korea, China, Cingapura and many other countries were so poor and so bad that it seemed that they would vanish into chaos. Brazil was slightly better and a promise for future evolution.

      40 years has passed. China is almost clearly growing to become the next big global empire. Korea pioneers some of the most advanced biotechnologies - brands as LG and Samsung rise in here and every brazilian holds an LG cellphone. Cingapura has grown so fast that many people from all over the world go there to see their advanced research. And where does this leaves us? Brazil is still a very poor country, and I mean poor. Our culture is as low as ever, religion is rising again - always a bad sign. Education here is close to non-existant and brazilians "believe" that Brazil is "improving". I laugh at that. China is growing, Cingapura is growing, Korea is growing. Brazil is stagnated at best.

      The reason for this: the nerds! People think that being a "nerd" is bad, and being "cool" and having a heavy social life is good. How sad. There is no future without the "nerds", the cientists. Engineers will not find the cure for cancer, nerds will. Salesperson will not find the cure for Aids, nerds will. Politians will not discover alternative energy sources, nerds will. Nerds are making China, Korea, India grow so fast that no one believe it is happening.

      So, to all Brazilians, be humble: you know nothing.

      ps. (I know, I know, I was harsh, but most brazilians will not even be able to read this anyway).
