Oh boy a picture of a cardboard box - RoninKengo, on 03/03/2009, -5/+35Digg should not be an outlet or platform for hyper-Mac Fanboy-ism.
If this were some revolutionary new product Apple were debuting, then maybe... but it's a BOX... a box for a slight upgrade to an existing piece of technology at best. - shnarf, on 03/03/2009, -3/+28A box!?!
- sockpuppets, on 03/03/2009, -0/+19
I like your dramatic use of whitespace. - ohplease, on 03/03/2009, -1/+14
Thanks - BrendanSheehan, on 03/02/2009, -6/+16If they want to make money from these they should have put a HDMI on it. I don't know about fake, but it could easily be an elaborate hoax. Easily. People go to a lot trouble to make crop circles. Watch; the actually mini will come out in a few weeks and it will be black and 3/4 the height of this one, with an optional Apple TV-mode or something.
- JasonMaloney101, on 03/03/2009, -0/+9BREAKING: New BLACK Mac Mini 3/4 the height and all the style!
A trusted source deep within Apple has confirmed today that the new blackMac Mini units will be 25% smaller than their predecessors and feature triple the storage capacity.
You heard it here first! - MGrizam, on 03/03/2009, -0/+8its a box that MAY or MAY NOT... even worse than just a box!!
- Benno, on 03/03/2009, -0/+7The tensile strength of cardboard used for the box is far greater than the previous generation's box.
^ tech related now - atgmac, on 03/03/2009, -1/+8But if they put HDMI on it, how would they sell those expensive plastic Mini-DVI->DVI adapters?
- venomoushealer, on 03/03/2009, -1/+7Perhaps you didn't read the article, but I didn't find it to be particularly tech related. I mean, its a rumored product. Concrete things are technology. Rumors and ideas are theory.
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -0/+6I buried you for your poor mastery of English.
- killeryugi, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4MiniDP, is that some kind of little people porn?
- leamanc, on 03/03/2009, -1/+5Dude, it has a plastic handle too!
- ridestp, on 03/03/2009, -0/+4No
- motivatedguy, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3I love that movie like fat kids love cupcakes
- epadafunk, on 03/03/2009, -0/+3The nice thing about usb is that you can unplug the cord when you're not using it, and then plug it back in when you need it! talk about convenience!
- Wakuko, on 03/03/2009, -2/+4upvoted
upvote me too so we start an upvote orgy - brettg102, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2her pretty little head.
- PPCG4, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2Pannies.
- japandave, on 03/03/2009, -1/+3I for one welcome the news/rumor- I've been waiting eagerly for a mac mini with better specs to come out. Rumor it may be I'm still a human who likes gossip as much as the next guy.
- digitalpencil, on 03/03/2009, -2/+4if it's a hoax, then it's awesome considering that the leaker also released a video of the mini:

HDMI as well is somewhat redundant given it has miniDP.. granted you'll have to use a converter to plug it into your TV but it poses most of the same advantages as HDMI and is royalty free.
On a side note, how is this news? it's a box? - motivatedguy, on 03/03/2009, -1/+3What do "you" mean, "you people?"
- fangorious, on 03/03/2009, -0/+2my mini has a regular dvi connector.
- Fleagleman, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1It's about a computer. I don't know how to explain how that is tech-related without making it sound like I'm calling you stupid.
- Dweller99, on 03/03/2009, -1/+2look at the posters history. He has plenty of "friends" to help him push this crap to the top.
- digitalpencil, on 03/03/2009, -1/+2the mini's a great computer but i don't give two ***** what box it comes in..
- BrendanSheehan, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1^_^
- keyo, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1zomg! A ***** box. ***** digg is lame. Sigh, I'm off to slashdot.
- macmcraeart, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1you pretty much get screwed over by default when you buy any mac mini.
- dumass4u, on 03/03/2009, -7/+8big *****' whoop.
- macmcraeart, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1... for a wimpy girl computer from 2005?
- jmewhite1, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1http://www.macrumors.com/2009/02/19/leaked-photo-o ...
- inactive, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1Perhaps my Give-A-*****-O-Meter is broken
- MScrip, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1Or... have more than 3 ports on the back of a 24" iMac. There's plenty of room. What if you just wanna keep your card reader plugged in all the time, and not have to plug it in each time? Or more than one printer?
Oh, I see what you're doing... you're trying to make me feel like I'm wrong for wanting more than 3 USB ports on the back of a modern computer. Gotcha.
How'd ya do? - raydeen, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1I would digg it if it as least had a parallel universe in it. And then I would eject it into the Sun.
- sexybobo, on 03/03/2009, -1/+2Also this source is obviously fake because it says there is a 1tb hdd in it. They don't make 1tb 2.5" hdd
- MScrip, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1It's still got more USB ports than an iMac. The iMac says it's got 5 USB ports... but they count the 2 in the keyboard... which only leaves 3 open ports after the mouse. So now there's 2 ports left on the back of the computer, and one crappy hidden port that you have to practically flip over the keyboard to plug something into it. And some flash drives don't fit in the keyboard port. Keyboard, printer, iPod cable... the computer is full. And then only one left on the keyboard.
Now that's sad. - pokjob, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1Crop circles? Those are real.
- frouse, on 03/03/2009, -1/+2and yet you took the time to tell us that? Sounds like you gave a ***** a little to me.
- PirateMonk3y, on 03/03/2009, -0/+1Its just a box...
- N0rthsideDonutz, on 03/03/2009, -0/+0You should probably put that box back. Solid Snake is gonna be PISSED if he can't find it.
- arnoldez, on 03/03/2009, -6/+6Hey screw you guys, I like boxes. They're wonderful for packing stuff, and Apple boxes sure are pretty!
- dyau270, on 03/03/2009, -1/+1Isn't fake and an elaborate hoax the same thing?
- l800LEMMINGS, on 03/03/2009, -1/+1i think that apple is in charge of leaking information. Don't release info and deny deny deny then let leaks get out on a time released schedule to keep hype and build it up by showing something a little bit new each time a leak is released, yet keep them wanting by not showing the actual device in use, creating more speculation and controversy building more hype. Release the product and watch people swarm around it like a zombie invasion.
- Billistic, on 03/03/2009, -1/+1No hdmi? How come apple is retarded?
