Petition to make Apple fix loose hinge on new MacBook Pro

fixthehinge.com — A few weeks ago Apple revealed their new Macbook Pro, a high end computer that should be just that - High end, that is. Sure, the unibody looks quite nice. But there is that one thing. With the hinges of the screen. Together we might be able to put some pressure on Apple to fix this. A computer which costs $1999 should not be like this!

    The apparent reason behind the looser hinge is so that one can lift the lid with one hand. ***** That!

    I'd rather be required to use the strength of both arms--while nominal--and have the screen stay put than have it "open easier".

    They need to fix the hinge.

  • Neridah, on 02/05/2009, -0/+0Absolutely disgusted in Apple & their superiors for having had the MBP's (late 2008 models) released with such an unacceptable issue as the hinge (weak, poor design or otherwise). Shame on you Apple Inc. RECALL now to all your MBP's (late 2008 model) consumers! Me included!
