  • Jawshey, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2I've always been a fan of the iPhone, but in the UK, people aren't that happy with the 'sell your soul' contract that is bundled with it. Which is kinda why they never really took off here. We were never happy with contracts that end up over £500 (and the iPhone was nearing £800 when first launched in the UK) with the worst deals ever on. You could tell that 02 was trying to milk the Apple fans for every penny they had on the latest gadget.
    Hopefully, price-cuts might help make the iPhone as big of success in the UK as it is in the US, but until price is considered, it is unlikely that it'll be as major hit here as it is in America.

My guess is that the 3G is coming out soon and they don't want to have thousands of people returning their old iPhones and/or complaining/sueing. It seems very strange though. How could they have run out of iPhones. This is impossible...
