- drwilliams, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I sure hope not! Besides the spyware/virus potential mentioned above, I think it would severely hurt native Mac development. Having a dual-boot option would be sufficient in terms of compatibility.
- rooster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The one area where MS has Apple by the balls is Mac Office. If this comes to fruition,then that threat no longer exists. If MS stops development of Mac Office, Mac users could just run the Windows version.

- jaybee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't jump to conclusions, think about this on a very basic level. Running OSX on your home computer, it might be nice to be able to load up any number of secondary and tertiary windows-based programs and run them natively. While everyone immediately thinks of huge standards like Microsoft Office suite, there are a number of small programs written only for windows that have huge value to existing industries and business. If apple is going to really remove all barriers to adoption, then this alone could really change hearts in corporate IT purchasing departments.
This doesn't have to be the death knell for apple or windows development, just a side door to work with both.
