- crackah, on 10/11/2007, -20/+132***** this is sad.
- fyrehart, on 10/11/2007, -3/+84Pay no attention to the iPhones behind the curtain!
- knelto, on 10/11/2007, -9/+76More like the Wizard of Woz!
- qpid, on 10/11/2007, -4/+56It's the Wizard of Oz!
- Ransomowris, on 10/11/2007, -23/+74Buried because this is retarded. Someone put a curtain up in an apple store and digg needs a front page story covering this.
OMG SOMEONE DROPPED A CUP OUTSIDE OF MACWORLD, ALERT THE MEDIA. - RedStateRetard, on 10/11/2007, -7/+44More like Dixie Cups and a Thermos full of "Kool-Aid".
- gmprunner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+35Is that a challenge?
- JCSaint, on 10/11/2007, -3/+31But it will look AWESOME!
- rwallen, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27It is obviously a giant tub of candy necklaces and push pops.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+25damnit steve! you put a curtain in an apple store and we go crazy!
- sonaro, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18More pics of the curtain? Sweet.
- Chronic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17The title of this story is the epitome of digg... it contains both "OMG" and "Apple".
- madk, on 10/11/2007, -9/+22Who cares?
- NeoCortex, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Call it an iCurtain, and he can just sell that for $500.
- bigmoneyuno, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14It's a private voting booth to see if the iPhone will be successful :-D
- unloud, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Don't drink the Kool-aid. I did and all I woke up with a hangover and 6 iMacs. For God's sake, don't drink the Kool-aid :-(
- KSUdesigner, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11The iPhone doesn't launch for another 3 weeks. I'm doubting that this is an iPhone display, why would they put it up so early? WWDC is next week so I'd suspect it's related to that. Whatever is back there, I highly doubt they'd put any actual product there.
- Highstand, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11There is a weird looking guy in a van outside of my house. I think I will take pictures of him and post them on the net. I think he is selling iphones. He appears to have candy.
- Btrash, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11400+ digs for a piece of black cloth with no story.
- RTFishUL, on 10/11/2007, -13/+22It's the iRack
(a la MadTV) - danakin, on 10/11/2007, -4/+12Well, the sane folks don't go crazy. 'Cause it's a curtain.
- kewlrichie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7its the part of the store where bill gates is going to buy the iphone so no one can see him
- dizparks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6That curtain is blacker than Steve Jobs turtle neck.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7what you do is get 2 people to go into the store, have your friend fake like he/she tripped and fell down, while someone else looks behind the curtin.
- Squidly, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7It's clearly designed to hype something that'll be released on Monday when WWDC kicks off. iPhones are 3 weeks away. I'm guessing new iMac designs.
- snipes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5It' a curtain...just pull it back, take a pic and run.
And THEN you'll have a story. - Fourbin, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8My room mate is working right now a block from the store. I just SMSed him and told him to go check it out. He's got an N80 so I'm expecting some decent pics...
- yomamaisfat, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5It's a sign that says, "Get a life........ And an Iphone"
- delhokie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I was at the Apple store outside of Wilmington, DE and noticed a sign that was up that said they were going to be closed for a couple days for renovations (I believe they reopen tomorrow?). It could be something as simple as 'just a remodel'- but this makes me wonder if there's more to it.
- gmprunner, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5They're fixing the bathroom and installing the iCarta Toilet Paper Dock! http://www.atechflash.com/products-icarta.html
- NeoCortex, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Don't worry, Kevin's already downed all of Apple's Kool-Aid.
If you don't agree with me, watch this week's Diggnation. - gregulate, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I've been reading "The Cult of Mac" and just today I read a section about previous MacWorld conventions. There is a section when the author talks about how before Jobs would give his keynote at a conference in Japan, the Apple booth was covered entirely in black curtains. Even the top was covered, but a mysterious glow could be seen where the curtain met the ground. Turned out to be the new iPods so we can draw the conclusion that a new product IS behind the curtain.
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"Its a fan that rotates once every time an apple fan boy masturbates"
Well damn, put it in front of a wind farm and solve the USA's energy crisis. - magicjames92, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3wait when they said can i help you, thats where he should say, whats back there. they probably told him something less exciting so they left out that part.
- fredkreuger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Because it looks unimportant...
then *****' switchy! - KSUdesigner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Bam? Um that's Emeril. Jobs says "boom."
- FunkyWitDaSysTm, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3could be a new product display for the updated macbook pros. that store never closes, so they could just be putting that up until they're done assembling the display. sometimes they have to rearrange. i'll go by there tomorrow when i get off work to see what's up. prolly nothing too interesting.
- thcobbs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Ok, Someone took a picture of a ***** curtain and its made it to the front page of digg.
I mean, I love Apple products too.... BUT DAMN!
I'll spell it out for you:
Its just a ***** CURTAIN! - Shando, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Why doesn't someone just rush up and pull the curtain down?
- kindrobot, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3What's the worst that could happen? Slow, overweight security? Stop being wussies and just look behind the curtain. Just reach out and oops.
- scotticus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Oh my god, I'm getting such a raging clue right now.
- JoeDiggsIt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2But really why would they put an iPhone diplay in what looks like an unimportant corner (23 days! before its release)
- Dumbledorito, on 10/11/2007, -9/+11Is it a place for customers to fornicate with their computers in private?
- cambrown99, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2howabout an in-store AT&T kiosk?
- snipes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1They probably smiled and pranced away.
- rtkrum, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Come behind the curtain for a Lap Dance! Maybe even a Laptop Dance!
- slapthemonkey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Passive marketing.
- randysouth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Steve Jobs invented that transporter he talked about wanting in the D5 conference! He calls it the iPorter.
- Manuelmty, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i cant believe all this nonsense over a ***** curtain .
