"What's new in iTunes 8
iTunes 8 includes Genius, which makes playlists from songs in your library that go great together. Genius also includes Genius sidebar, which recommends music from the iTunes Store that you don't already have.
With iTunes 8, browse your artists and albums visually with the new Grid view; download your favorite TV shows in HD quality from the iTunes Store; sync your media with iPod nano (4th generation), iPod classic (2nd generation), and iPod touch (2nd generation); and enjoy a stunning new music visualizer." - krekc, on 09/05/2008, -2/+109Thats pretty cool. BTW the song is Suzuki by Tosca from 1999.
- Robbs94, on 09/05/2008, -5/+92I hope there's variation. That got a bit boring after a while
- CJArgus, on 09/06/2008, -9/+80Milkdrop 2 > this
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+63Id really setttle for a memory-effcient faster Itunes. It's a dog of a program, which brings my 3Ghz dual core machine to its knees just scrolling through the songlist.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -3/+55Does anyone use this feature to begin with?
- Krovvy, on 09/06/2008, -5/+44That might actually get me to use a visualization...
- imitokay, on 09/06/2008, -1/+38welcome to 9 replies ago
- spaceshipsix, on 09/06/2008, -1/+35Reminds me of my hobo murdering days
- Lith25, on 09/06/2008, -7/+29Nothing beats Milkdrop. Milkdrop has 300+ different visualizations, almost all as complex as this one.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+21Actually, I was referring to visualizations in general.
- therightclique, on 09/06/2008, -3/+22No, WIndows Media Player does a fine job of proving it's own *****.
- mV0G7, on 09/06/2008, -1/+20HE'S ROUGH GUYS
- whiteknives, on 09/06/2008, -7/+26Milkdrop for WinAmp got it right years ago.
- mV0G7, on 09/06/2008, -0/+18I'm glad Digg acts as a virtual barrier between dragonzmajic and me. Otherwise I'd be fearing for my life right now.
- Gleemonex, on 09/06/2008, -0/+18In my experience, it tends to be stoners and grandparents.
- tehroflmaoer, on 09/06/2008, -2/+20psh, if this gets bundled with iTunes, everyone will.
- seldon452, on 09/06/2008, -3/+19Kevin, since I think your new, I'm gonna go ahead and explain to you the point of digg.
Digg is not about tech rumors. It is about news and information that is already out and confirmed.
Oh, and stuff from 4chan. - dawnraid101, on 09/06/2008, -2/+18wtf itunes does not equal ipod?
- trotskyist, on 09/06/2008, -1/+17Stoned people.
Try it some time. - BIGJHUB, on 09/06/2008, -3/+19This pleases me.
- imitokay, on 09/06/2008, -0/+15damnit, if I digg you up it says I like your comment, but if I digg you down like I want, Im taking part in your survey!! damn damn DAMN!
- Galaxylander, on 09/06/2008, -3/+17Is iTunes for Mac way better? It opens instantly for me and takes almost no processing power...
I never really used iTunes on Windows much, is the Mac version better? The Mac version of Safari is better. - godphase3, on 09/06/2008, -3/+16they're good when you're high.
- omelette, on 09/06/2008, -1/+13Three words... Annabelle the Sheep. That ***** had me mesmerized.
- xkorbin, on 09/06/2008, -1/+12@Zenham This is digg, nobody asks.
- thedragon4453, on 09/06/2008, -0/+9@Galaxy
The mac version of iTunes is way better. It loads quick, and I rarely experience any hiccups.
iTunes for Windows sucks more because like an above poster said, the Windows version is lazy. As I understand it (I'm not a programmer), the Mac version uses a lot of technology that is built into OS X, like Quicktime, for example. The Windows version does not have things like Quicktime built in, and instead of making a more Windows friendly version, they just made you install a bunch of ***** like Quicktime. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -8/+17Reminds me of my acid days...
- therightclique, on 09/06/2008, -3/+12When did Winamp die?
Winamp is still going strong, friend. - Disease, on 09/06/2008, -4/+12You've clearly never gotten high.
- jp12380, on 09/06/2008, -3/+11No, because it sucks compared to milkdrop
- mattluiz, on 08/28/2009, -2/+9I hope there's a way to upgrade the TV shows you already bought to HD, similar to the iTunes Plus tracks.
- topmounter, on 09/06/2008, -3/+10Who is it exactly that listens to music and passively stares at their computer screen?
- tnoy, on 09/06/2008, -2/+9The 20 you like, someone else might not.
When you have 300, a lot more people will be able to find the 20 that they really like. - Fixthemedia, on 09/06/2008, -1/+8Better than most out there? Yes. Stunning? Not so much.
- Lith25, on 09/06/2008, -0/+7I agree, unfortunately milkdrop was written in DirectX making it incompatible with other Platforms without a full re-write of it's engine. There was an OpenGL conversion project going on at one point, but I don't think it got very far.
- optimo, on 09/06/2008, -2/+9Milkdrop, lightyears ahead of this. I feel bad that Mac users don't get a chance to see it in action. Phenomenal.

btw, you can copy all your milkdrop 1.0 presets into your milkdrop2 folder - arizonabay, on 09/06/2008, -1/+8Call me superstitious, but I agree with jp; you should definitely have more than 1 visualization lest you turn into a plank of wood.
- Seaton, on 09/06/2008, -3/+9This is a boring visualizer, not that I ever use one too much.
My visualizer plug in of choice, and always has been since the SoundJam MP days.
G-Force.
http://www.soundspectrum.com
Andy O'Meara (creator) served as a Naval Officer aboard a submarine. The US Navy paid for his school, he paid them back with several years of active duty. He would come in from a deployment, send out a G-Force update, and deploy again. He was also contracted by Steve Jobs to create the original visualizer for iTunes. Main problem here is Steve never paid Andy to update it. The original iTunes visualizer is only about 10 different visualization modules, today's G-Force plugin is over 1000.
Musical artist Seal watching G-Force with his own music and said he had a "near-religious experience". Seal pays for a commercial license to use G-Force as a backdrop during his concerts. - GoKings, on 09/06/2008, -4/+10Visualizations are cool and all, but most people hardly ever use them.
- SugarCoatedSalt, on 09/06/2008, -1/+7I'm not your friend, buddy.
- therightclique, on 09/06/2008, -1/+7Everybody who downloads Winamp has Milkdrop. It is the most well known visualization on the planet. You're not special.
- Krovvy, on 09/06/2008, -1/+7Did you read the part where I said "twenty"?
- LMN8R, on 09/06/2008, -2/+8All we need now is MilkDrop 3D support and we're gold!
- deltron, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5Amen. I was looking for a comment with G-Force in it. Love it, has given me many crazy nights.
- Lith25, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5Never too late
- docmacdoc, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5visualizer DL link>>>>http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MQQ799VJ

Tosser - kawaiirobo, on 09/06/2008, -0/+4cool thanks, I was actually going to ask if any one knew.
- arizonabay, on 09/06/2008, -1/+5Whoa. Hold on. Yeah.. Y-you got something on your face there-- no, no, not on your cheek, it's all right on your chin there. Down, a little left-- Yeah, okay you got it.
