but yeah, if this is fake then definitely one of the better fakes I've seen- connorf, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2no sleep button on the red one though.
- rbedi100, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2Sorry...http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/07/loads-of-fake-a ...
Also no sleep/wake button, as connorf said...*disappointment hits*

- elbonito665, on 06/07/2008, -0/+7or, you could use the iPhone to cut your cake on your birthday!
- phore, on 06/07/2008, -2/+15If these were real wouldn't the guy just copy the images from his computer onto the internet instead of taking a blurry cell phone picture. It seems like a convenient way to hide photoshop imperfections if you ask me.
- Bggnz, on 06/07/2008, -3/+7Yeah, its kinda obvious it was fake to begin with. I mean do you really think Apple would advertise video calling with a random dude like that and not some hipster lookin model? i will admit though, the guy did a good job with the rest of the stuff, the phone looks nice.
- DivisibleByZero, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2They did it specifically for credibility. *Real people* use an iPhone, not just hipsters. It's like all those "reality TV" shows that are really scripted.
- jatoskep, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3Well it obviously was not the owner of the computer, the dude who uploaded them was obviously not supposed to be seeing them.
- KezG, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Apple could easily trace the images back to him if he just uploaded them on his computer (presumably at Apple)... I'm guessing someone who wasn't suppose to be in there was and decided to take some pictures *IF* this is real.
- shewasjustagrl, on 06/07/2008, -2/+33Yeeaaa... no.
http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/07/loads-of-fake-a ...- elbonito665, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3whaaaat? I had high hopes that this leaked photo is for real. I almost peed in my pants. X_X
- ophello, on 06/07/2008, -2/+7their reasoning is so ***** flawed i could puke.
- Tikisam, on 06/07/2008, -10/+3Yeah I'm thinking no as well, if you look close it sure looks like those pictures are open in some kind of more-capable image editor (Photoshop, Gimp, I don't know what the hell the kids are using today I haven't needed something as simple as MSPaint in years... I'm no F'n artist!).
If you look on the left border in some pictures there appear to be line tools, paint buckets and the like.
And lastly there's a bunch of blue lines running through the pictures to ensure alignment, I'm guessing "layers" or "filters" IDKWTF these damn things are called. Conclusion to be made here: these aren't .JPGs, they're .PHTSHPs or whatever kind of editable file crap... something that would be tough to get from Apple.
But point is the perpetrator of this hoax got lazy and failed to export to a jpg...
I give him props for not stopping at an iPhone 2.0 image, he took the time to consider "Apple's gonna introduce other stuff that just fills time in the keynote (like that safari on windows crap). So the guy talks about iChat coming out for Win and also takes the time to do the Product(RED) (don't even get me started on that retard(RED) campaign).- mdeppi01, on 06/07/2008, -1/+12I'm sorry that I took the time to read your post. My goodness.
- aussieNickuss, on 06/07/2008, -0/+6Are you bored, cause you seemed to put an awful lot of effort into that comment.
If you look at those pics closely, it is clearly Photoshop they are using. Oh and Photoshop's filr format is .PSD. - srg13, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2The point is that the images in photoshop are the layout of the new (unfinished from the pictures) website - as if the web designer leaked it.
If it were real though, the guy must be really stupid - there would probably be only one (maybe three or four at most) people working on the website at most, so it would be obvious who leaked it - a sure fire way to loose your job!
- KoopaTroopa, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1aw ***** gross..
- MxM111, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2IT IS NOT STEREO SPEAKERS! Why would need them on iPhone anyway? One is speaker, another is mic, like in current iPhone.
- rbedi100, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Not a chance. What shewasjustagrl said and the fact that there is no sleep/wake button on the red one in one of the pics.
- iridescence, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Seems real... From MacRumors at WDC08...
"Apple has learned so much with the first iPhone. They have taken everything they've learned and more and created the iPhone 3G. Even thinner, black plastic back, solid metal buttons, same gorgeous display, camera, flush headphone jack, and dramatically improved audio."

- YodaJones, on 06/07/2008, -21/+12Not bad looking, but I was hoping they kept the aluminum and black look.
- devindotcom, on 06/07/2008, -3/+15The aluminum and black one is still aluminum and black...
- Qtip42, on 06/07/2008, -2/+4It's about time they start offering different colored anodizing.
- NgrHader, on 06/07/2008, -4/+8they can leak iPhone 2 pics but they can't leak a proper version of the new Coldplay...

- mitch37, on 06/07/2008, -1/+5I dont want to have to keep my phone in the case, therefore i dont want a mirror finish that will look horrible after a week.
- ThisCommentSux, on 06/07/2008, -1/+0Except the current iPhone isn't mirror like iPods, it's "frosted".
These leaks certainly look a hell of a lot better than the plastic-y, gloss ones that were going around. Definitely more Apple-like than those were. I'm all over that product(red) one.
Still, I'm not buying these as legit, for all the points given below, and the fact that speculation on the internet is a waste of ***** time.
- ThisCommentSux, on 06/07/2008, -1/+0Except the current iPhone isn't mirror like iPods, it's "frosted".

-Steve Jobs - Dotcommer, on 06/07/2008, -4/+20Come on apple, don't ***** this up. Gimmie at least 30gb on that damn thing. COME ON BABY.

- sleepwalkers, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5It's so easy. We think you'll *really* like it.
Just tap the Safari icon, type digg.com/iphone, and BOOM.
You're right at Digg, drunk digging in places you never thought possible.
And this is all thanks... to the new iPhone.
- sleepwalkers, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5It's so easy. We think you'll *really* like it.
- bigsteve, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5Cell phones should be like cars. You screw up too many times with the drunk dialing, and they come out and install a breathalizer on your phone. Over the legal limit? Can't ring your ex.
- megamod, on 06/07/2008, -3/+2*RIIING...RIIING*: dude I'm drunk, calling from my new iphone and I just saw your post on digg and I have no idea what you mean by how it'll revolutionize drunk...hold on...*bluaaaAAAAAAh (throws up)*...nvm I think I get what you mean, think this ***** will come off with some pinesol?
- danman890, on 06/07/2008, -2/+1This comment is very much epic win. Bravo.
- danman890, on 06/07/2008, -2/+1Whoops, I meant the other one X(
- anchorman, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1This will start a whole revolution of 'video crank calling'... and it may not be pretty.
- jdtucker, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1Drunk dialing..? Think about phone sex.
- pbarbosa, on 06/09/2008, -0/+0I might never again call a taxi after a pub crawling night on the risk of dialing someone I do not wish to talk to... :D
- TheWorm, on 06/07/2008, -20/+156By far the most believable picture I've seen. I think this is it, it matches up with the iPhone icon that was found in the 2.0 firmware.
- TheWorm, on 06/07/2008, -6/+39I dunno who is digging me up..after some closer analyzing, there's no way this can be real.
- otbeverly, on 06/07/2008, -2/+37Please tell me you didn't spend the last two hours and 45 minutes researching the topic.
... not that there's anything wrong with that.- TheWorm, on 06/07/2008, -4/+16hahahaha never underestimate someone who has a Steve Jobs poster hanging above their computer desk and too much free time on a Friday night.
- AntzNZ, on 06/07/2008, -3/+38Please be joking, TheWorm.
- TheWorm, on 06/07/2008, -1/+9I'm joking.
- primary0, on 06/07/2008, -1/+16never gonna digg u up.. never gonna digg u down...

- Ocelot13, on 06/07/2008, -3/+7yeah, because that tiny like 60x60 icon can show so many details.
- sys9five, on 06/07/2008, -1/+8Why does the red one missing its hold button when it's there on the black one? These are as fake as fake can get!
- ophello, on 06/07/2008, -3/+1youre wrong. so, so wrong.
Heaven forbid they...you know...updated the user interface?
thats a retarded reason to think this is fake.- SatansSpatula, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3Yes, new "user interface" on one of five photos. And the other red picture *does* have a hold button.
- sambapati87, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3These could be APPLE mockups for placement only, the product red could be a total photoshop until the photography comes in.
- ophello, on 06/07/2008, -3/+1youre wrong. so, so wrong.
- Kronk42583, on 06/07/2008, -4/+3now i am not super familiar with the iphone, but i believe that is a camera on the back. how does a back mounted camera help with video chat?? wouldn't you need it to face you from the front? maybe its not a camera.
- ChimpFlix, on 06/07/2008, -0/+4Genius, there is a new lens on the front. They previously only had a rear-viewing camera lens.
- Virgule, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1now two lens or just a frontal one?
- ChimpFlix, on 06/07/2008, -0/+4Genius, there is a new lens on the front. They previously only had a rear-viewing camera lens.
- TheWorm, on 06/07/2008, -6/+39I dunno who is digging me up..after some closer analyzing, there's no way this can be real.
- ccchapman, on 06/07/2008, -6/+73Most legit looking of all "leaked" photos. I'm just glad its not that same damn white case. Monday can't come soon enough!
- jabberwolf, on 06/07/2008, -3/+6Maybe, but you do you really think they would have a goofy Carlos Rodriguez on the phone for this ad?
I mean, its Apple!
They would have some uber trendy person, mohawk, or newage hippie on the screen.- samgab, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1John Appleseed.
- TheDarkTipper, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1Like Jeff Cannata.
- Crazymaniacc, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1Not for me, I've got a deadline on monday :(
- Jezper, on 06/07/2008, -3/+1u mean tuesday?
- Nollykin, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1White cases haven't been ipod's key market for a while now. Black is back, baby. They're going hard into the sleek, black and silver look. White was good for brand awareness- but now it's established, people want something that looks less like their fridge, and more like something the woman they're trying to impress has dangling from her ears.
- GreenAlien, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1Anyone thought of the possibility of this being deliberate? Apple could of handed it out and changed subtle things on each image. It would help Apple determine who it can't trust.
Or someone could of deliberately made them look fake to screw with everyone. 1) Get peoples hopes up, 2) People realise they're fake, 3) Wowaahh, it's real after all.
- jabberwolf, on 06/07/2008, -3/+6Maybe, but you do you really think they would have a goofy Carlos Rodriguez on the phone for this ad?
- americaskate, on 06/07/2008, -5/+104This looks like the real deal.
...besides the sleep button not being on the red one.- Xcel, on 06/07/2008, -1/+18That's what makes me a bit doubtful that this is real. ALTHOUGH, this design looks spot on and an accurate upgrade.
- Alegoo92, on 06/07/2008, -3/+1It doesn't though. Apple wouldn't have tiny little buttons for swapping/dropping phones: they know how easy it is to mis-click.
- Rekoil, on 06/07/2008, -10/+7I'm detecting some pixels around the front camera as well, I've seen this before, it's the characteristics of a shop.
- mentor972, on 06/07/2008, -1/+17There are pixels throughout the entire picture... spaced evenly.
- Ramble, on 06/07/2008, -0/+13That's the most obvious sign it's a shop.
- mentor972, on 06/07/2008, -1/+17There are pixels throughout the entire picture... spaced evenly.
- damntourists, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3Lol, good point.. if these are real, i wonder if apple will realize it before posting these on billboards.
- cubbiesx, on 06/07/2008, -2/+30the red one doesn't have a lock button because it's "extreme"
- alexkball, on 06/07/2008, -0/+20I think it's because activism never sleeps. : /
- DiMo, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2no, my good sir. aids doesn't sleep.
- sambapati87, on 06/07/2008, -1/+4These could be APPLE mockups for placement only, the product red could be a total photoshop until the photography comes in. This could explain the missing hold button, a lazy crop job?
- berlinbullet, on 06/07/2008, -2/+1Not to mention that Apple forewent all philanthropy projects back in the 90's in order to keep profit margins high... so a (red) phone seems extremely unlikely...
- DrakeGTA, on 06/07/2008, -2/+2This is more likely then you may think.. http://www.apple.com/ipod/red/
- Xcel, on 06/07/2008, -1/+18That's what makes me a bit doubtful that this is real. ALTHOUGH, this design looks spot on and an accurate upgrade.
- macslut, on 06/07/2008, -6/+33Did you all notice that the 5th graphic from the top said iChat is "now available for iPhone - and Windows". Then in notes below it says that you need Windows Xp Sp2 or Higher or Vista. The first line of notes seems like it says..."Compatible handheld required - not available in all areas"
In the paragraph in that graphic it has a lot of words I can't make out, but it seems to indicate it works on 3G instead of requiring WiFi.
I'm a little suspicious that the red iPhone doesn't have a lock button on top where the black is clearly visible. Also, while this may be a rough draft, it's weird that it's red, black, unkown, black, red. It doesn't feel right to have them in that order. Likewise, what's with the white space in between the iPhones and the text on top as well as to the right of the iPhones? It just feels off to me. Oh, and the iPhone facing us has a larger reflection.
Still I want to believe. Also, it would be cool to have iChat available for Windows...especially if iChat does indeed make it on the iPhone.- DMFlash, on 06/07/2008, -2/+4I didn't notice it the first time, but you're right, and it is a bit odd.
The "unknown" iPhone in the center looks like the 1st gen iPhone, which doesn't make sense because you wouldn't be able to video conference on the 1st gen.
Guess I'll just have to wait till Monday. - devindotcom, on 06/07/2008, -1/+9If you look closely, it says "Start a real [ ] video chat with other AT&T subscribers via 3g networking, or with iChat buddies via Wifi."
- xixo, on 06/07/2008, -8/+4What the hell is Windows Xp? This is so ***** fake.
- blackjack75, on 06/07/2008, -3/+2Note that these are photographs from screens with photoshop being used to design promotional material. So they *are* photoshopped, just like apple's real ads. The design agencies may not have the real product...
- Millsee, on 06/07/2008, -4/+2Windows xp was a thing that made people's lives hell, unless they were super-clever.
- Thogster, on 06/07/2008, -0/+8Actually, he's noting that they spell it "Windows Xp" as opposed to the correct way of spelling it, namely "Windows XP". And he claims it's fake because there's no way Apple would have such an error in their ads. On the other hand though, these could be unfinished promotional posters that haven't been proofread yet.
- MtheoryX, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3"unless they were super-clever."
Or moderately intelligent with internet searches.
- ophello, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3this looks like a cell-phone screenshot from the designer who is making the ad. hes probably not done yet. doesnt seem off to me at all.
- sonofashoe, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1I thought the order was odd too, but the front view would be identical for black & red, so there would be 2 identical pictures. That said, the layout is a little clunky.
- dpowre, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1i think there is space because this is not the full ad. i mean that they would print this off and cut it into three separate ads. the one with the pictures, one with exchange, and one with ichat.
- DMFlash, on 06/07/2008, -2/+4I didn't notice it the first time, but you're right, and it is a bit odd.
- piyushsinha, on 06/07/2008, -8/+59iChat on the iPhone and WINDOWS !!!!!!!!!
- mauri824, on 06/07/2008, -9/+1Don't get too excited about iChat for windows.
Apple's gonna manage to make it suck, Sadly :/ - AvidPreatorian, on 06/07/2008, -14/+16windows sucks
- roflbrothel, on 06/07/2008, -10/+1Windows sucks and so does iChat. Let me know when they get Adium on the iPhone... oh yeah, and a keyboard and a provider that doesn't suck.
- brkhobowriter, on 06/07/2008, -7/+6iChat isn't that good. Pidgin or Digsby kicks its ass.
- megamod, on 06/07/2008, -5/+2still on a video chat with Carlos Rodrigues??? swap call? Hell's yea, I'd rather chat with that hottie in the thumb of the new chat call then with this a-hole breaking more Hispanic stereotypes with his name alone, than crazy rednecks.
- samgab, on 06/08/2008, -0/+2The hottie is talking to Carlos. She's the one with the iPhone2. It meant swap the video windows around, I thought - not that there's a second call in progress. Swap from recipient in the main window to the caller in the main window. That's how the video phones I've used have worked. (We've had 3G and 2 way video calling in NZ for a few years now.)
- mauri824, on 06/07/2008, -9/+1Don't get too excited about iChat for windows.
- tktino, on 06/07/2008, -17/+4Its fake! Its a concept within photoshop. Anyone can do this!
example: http://ilovextra.com/pb/macdesign.html- sonicularulus, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3and you dont think apple uses photoshop to create their concepts and designs?
- THES0URCE, on 06/07/2008, -17/+39Wow this truely shows how i have no life... i just realized i'm on digg at midnight looking up ***** iphone supposed leaked pictures.
but anyway i see two problems it says it has video conferencing but the camera is still on the back? how does that work? and pointed out by john on crunchgear.com the lock button is missing on the red iphone. oh and another thing i just noticed is that all these pictures are actually opened in photoshop, just thought i would throw that in.- jovendelavega, on 06/07/2008, -2/+29did you not see the camera on the front?
- nullaesthetics, on 06/07/2008, -5/+1so the new iphone will have a camera on the front and back?? That doesn't seem a little fake?
- bigsteve, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1There's a Nokia with two cameras... it's model number is escaping me now.
- specialK16, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2Ummmm no. Most 3G cellys actually have a camera in the front and in the back.
- samgab, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1Just about every phone here has 2 cameras, one in front and one in back. It makes 2 way video calling possible. The front camera is usually just VGA for video calling, and the rear camera is normally 2-5Mp, and used for photos.
- jatoskep, on 06/07/2008, -1/+4Nope, doesn't seem fake at all. People need the phone on the back for taking pictures, front one is only for vid chatting.
Personally I think the camera on the front is a bit useless and overdone, but I'll be getting one. :D
- nullaesthetics, on 06/07/2008, -5/+1so the new iphone will have a camera on the front and back?? That doesn't seem a little fake?
- anliath, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1brand new iphone, but no one to call...
- jovendelavega, on 06/07/2008, -2/+29did you not see the camera on the front?
- Branchex, on 06/07/2008, -12/+1It still has the camera on the back in addition to one in the front, Apple couldn't think of something better like a swivel camera rather than this? I know that slick designs are important to them but I don't they would put that at the cost of having redundant parts that make it more expensive then it needs to be. I could be wrong and you can use both cameras at the same time to chat, one person holding the phone and a another standing in front of the holder, which would be nice, but it seems unlikely.
- The0, on 06/07/2008, -5/+14Wow, a swivel? That doesn't sound incredibly breakable or anything!
- Protoss, on 06/07/2008, -1/+10I'm willing to bet that the 2 cameras are entirely different. The front facing is made for video while the back is made for still images, so they each serve their respective function much better than one camera would.
- Rekutyn, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5Swivel and the subsequent warranty replacements $$$ > two camera CCD's.
- samgab, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1The swivel idea has been done by Samsung. It sucks.
- digitallysick, on 06/07/2008, -13/+7Looks real to me, nice
- Dylson, on 06/07/2008, -6/+8Then it MUST be real if it looks real to you....
- ttkgeek, on 06/07/2008, -12/+356There are so many problems with these leaks.
1. XP isn't properly capitalized in the mockup - it's spelled Xp in the mockup.
2. The Product (RED) one is missing the sleep/wake button.
3. WiFi isn't correctly spelled, it's spelled wifi in the mockup.
4. The inconsistent use of Apple's flagship font - Myriad Pro.
It's so fake.- Bobaliki, on 06/07/2008, -3/+79Damn you for listing perfectly acceptable reasons why my dreams can't come true
- ttkgeek, on 06/07/2008, -11/+107The real thing will probably be even better. =)
- RMoore08, on 06/07/2008, -1/+20I dunno.... those fakes are hot.
- redwallhp, on 06/07/2008, -8/+3Don't underestimate the power of the Jobs.
- richardhenry, on 06/07/2008, -0/+3Don't underestimate the power of Jonathan Ive and his team of visual ninjas.
- RMoore08, on 06/07/2008, -1/+20I dunno.... those fakes are hot.
- matthewplante, on 06/07/2008, -19/+3man... you need to tone it down a little
- Protoss, on 06/07/2008, -4/+13Maybe a mockup ad? I mean, these are just pictures of the advertisement right? Not of the actual phone itself?
- MacTyler, on 06/07/2008, -2/+8Everyone always uses that excuse, but I have never once seen it come true.
- Protoss, on 06/07/2008, -1/+7Uhm..the old Ipod (fatty) Nano were mockups.
- Radan, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5Well, in my opinion, there's no possible way to determent whether this is fake or not, seeing how this is a Photoshop mockup which is "supposed" to be used as a advertisement. Maybe the editor haven't finished the details yet.
Though, I'm not saying it's real, but you shouldn't rule out the possibility that it might be true.
- MacTyler, on 06/07/2008, -2/+8Everyone always uses that excuse, but I have never once seen it come true.

- rabbott, on 06/07/2008, -5/+12these screens could of be taken during the middle of the process. a missing button on the RED model and other copy inaccuracies (correct font, capitalization...etc.) can easily be changed. that's why we have art directors (and legal teams) and design reviews before release to catch these issues. mis-representing the WiFi or Windows brand is a big no-no, but designers usually format these last.
if i had access to these files, i would of removed an item or two for a subtle effect to throw the public off. if these are fake, the designer would not have missed these as a final design before released publicly.
these are real, and someone will be fired for this. i hope it was worth it. i'll be in line in dt SF (Again) for the new model on Monday.- ttkgeek, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5If Apple legal doesn't order these to be taken down, they're fake.
- rabbott, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1midnight on a Friday...hard to assemble much behind a C&D, though I could be wrong. Apple probably has them on 24 hour standby for things like this prior to a SJ keynote...especially now that it is on Engadget, CrunchGear, MacRumors, and Digg.
Everyone is saying Fake, unfortunately I'm biased to my own experience, and these could easily be real or fake.
Either way, the new iPhone is coming...I'm simply excited :) - dpowre, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2your wrong they have in the past ordered leaks to be taken down and they ended up fake.
- althanis, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5When people start out with saying "could of" I find it hard to take anything they say seriously.
- MtheoryX, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1"i'll be in line in dt SF (Again) for the new model on Monday."
That sounds fun.
/sarcasm - roosterjm2k2, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1The Mac guys here make that mistake all the time...thats why comps go to legal and copywriters after every revision...90% of the last part of a design of a site here is between the legal/copywriters and the designers...
- ttkgeek, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5If Apple legal doesn't order these to be taken down, they're fake.
- mattbeetee, on 06/07/2008, -1/+7If you're right and this is in fact just another fake, then I'm sort of relieved. To me it seems a bit like opening a present 2 days before Christmas or something.
- NyteStarNyne, on 06/07/2008, -0/+17My hopes have never risen and dropped so quickly before. Thank you
- ophello, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2Nope. its the middle of a layout process that isnt finished yet. nice one. youre totally wrong. and ill be coming back to this thread to make fun of you when im right.
- Capand, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Well, that was unnecessary.
- ScottAG, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1True. Plus, why would they take screenshots from inside an image editing application?
- l800LEMMINGS, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1if it is indeed a mockup its probably not going to be perfect. anyway the apple rule of thumb if they legally warn you've got it
- WebMotiva, on 06/07/2008, -1/+2I think it's real. That's probably the templates for the new website. Someone got these pics inside the webdesign company. Do they use Windows to create Apple's site?
- ChimpFlix, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1I'm guessing this is real, too. The junior designer is going to have his ass handed to him and he'll be blackballed from ever designing again.
- bdawg923, on 06/07/2008, -2/+1http://www.crunchgear.com/wp-content/photos/IMG_04 ...
Is that supposed to be a camera in the top right corner of the phone? That looks like a home button that was copy+pasted there. - anchorman, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2But ignorance is bliss... how dare you ruin it for us. I mean would 48 hours of false hopes and dreams be all that bad? Instead, you go dashing them to pieces!
Argh!!!
Never may I read your insightful comments again!

- zebco, on 06/07/2008, -11/+1I hate that andonized metallic black that Motorola has been doing to death for years. I know it's tougher in terms of shell and paint but it looks so damn generic. Enough with the metallic colors...how about just a nice, flat enamel black? Yeah, it'll show some scratches but it'll keep you from looking like you're talking on a Rockr.
- mightymouse, on 06/07/2008, -22/+94i'm pretty sure they wouldn't put a wannabe gangster mexican as a model for video conferencing ... he also looks constipated
- aceslick911, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2appeals to older fat wives and balding-men types?
- nytejade, on 06/07/2008, -4/+20Actually, more and more companies are using Hispanics in their advertising. You haven't noticed? Also, he doesn't look like a wannabe gangster.
Go burn a cross.- suriyou, on 06/07/2008, -4/+1A bit harsh, aren't we?

- crsd36, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1A still from video?
- anchorman, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1I don't know about the gangster mexican part of it... but I do agree that the model used in the shot could have been much better than the one pictured. It does lead me to believe it isn't real.
- cubbiesx, on 06/07/2008, -12/+19i hope it's fake...video chat isn't exactly what i was hoping for in the next iPhone.
all i want is 3G, GPS, slingplayer via 3rd party apps, and maybe 32 GB capacity.- pensel, on 06/07/2008, -4/+2*****! This can't be real it has more than what I want for no increase in cost.
I'm selling off my shares and going back to Blackberry.
What is the matter with you? LOL - waydee, on 06/07/2008, -1/+10I cant think of a 3G phone without video-calling features.
- Iceduck, on 06/07/2008, -3/+4The past three phones that I've had have had video conferencing. All my friends have phones with video conferencing. You cannot find a spot on the map without 3G coverage in my country, but no one uses video conferencing. I've used it maybe twice when I got my first 3G phone. Maybe Apple will revolutionize this the same way they've revolutionized other things, so let's see.
- jeriqo, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3That's what Apple are best at.
Using technologies available for years no one uses, and have people actually use it.
I never used an automatic backup software before Time Machine. - druckster2002, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1If anything, video chat on the iPhone will force cell phone companies in the US to turn it on and let us use it!
- jeriqo, on 06/07/2008, -1/+3That's what Apple are best at.
- redwallhp, on 06/07/2008, -1/+4So... You're saying that Apple should not add a feature many people want just because you personally don't care about the feature?
- roflbrothel, on 06/07/2008, -3/+2...how about a goddamn keyboard?

- ozid, on 06/07/2008, -8/+2lol @ ichat for windows. this is totally fake from some confused hybrid windows/iphone fanboy
- wolfboyZ, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1Did you really just segregate users that like both Windows and Apple just now as hybrids? Fanboy-ism sunk to a new low.
- soulknowledge, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Safari for Windows is fake too
- cmapes2, on 06/07/2008, -19/+13I'm going to be soo deeply satisfied if the iPhone 3G isn't announced on Monday.
- tapo, on 06/07/2008, -2/+7Man, part of me wishes that I had waited before buying my iPhone, but the other part of me is certain I'd never use video chat.
- bgramer1, on 06/08/2008, -0/+2My wife and I are deaf and we're excited about this possibility since we already use video chat on our computers to communicate with our friends and family.

- randall814, on 06/07/2008, -2/+9it looks pretty legit, despite the things people outlined above. it could very well be concept images that apple themselves created before the phone was finished...or something?
as a side note, ichat for windows would certainly be incredible. i'm so tired of using pidgin or trillian and skinning it to look like ichat when i'm forced to sit on my desktop...it just never feels right. - otbeverly, on 06/07/2008, -8/+4Will I be able to chat with ... the hot chick that's chatting with Carlos Rodriguez?

- Takuro, on 06/07/2008, -0/+8If they release iChat for Windows in conjunction with the new iPhone, I hope they also widen the amount of servers iChat can connect to. I'd love to use it with MSN and Yahoo buddies. Sure, you can mess around with Jabber servers, but it's not the same.

- supermanky, on 06/07/2008, -15/+7This is so AWESOME, I'm going to shove it right up my ASS!
- LimeParrot, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1lol wtf
- MacParrot, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Will it still fit with your own foot so tightly wedged in there?
- supermanky, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1I'll have to see about that. My new iFoot really isn't all it's cracked up to be. The iPhone, however, is SO goddam AMAZING, I don't even need to EAT that lousy iFood anymore, OR actually SPEAK to my iFriends!
If only they had such technological miracles in rural Africa...
- blackhappy, on 06/07/2008, -10/+5Fake, lock button is missing on the red phone.
- lquid, on 06/07/2008, -10/+3So fake and so sad.
(RED) iPhone? You best be joking....- Wang, on 06/07/2008, -0/+4This isn't the first hint at a red iphone - apple have released (red) products before, and from what people are saying a red iphone would actually be quite popular...even if you aren't keen :)
- rezist, on 06/07/2008, -1/+1no it won't be popular in comparison to black. If you want some fruit juicy color get a case.
- Wang, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Just like colored iPod's aren't popular? :) Black doesn't suit everyone.

- abferry, on 06/07/2008, -12/+4Fake. 99% sure.
- RMoore08, on 06/07/2008, -0/+8Just round up. Come on.
- thirty6chambers, on 06/07/2008, -5/+15so obviously fake at first glance. when the hell have apple used a goofy looking guy like that?
also, companies ALWAYS use better quality images than what the product can actually provide. observe: http://www.apple.com/macbookpro/software.html- Burn, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Don't see anything wrong with those images...they looked just fine on my MacBook Pro :P.
(No really, what is wrong with any of those screenshots?)- thirty6chambers, on 06/07/2008, -0/+0apple always use images that are impossible to mimic on an actual video conferencing call with isight. the images quality along with the lighting and exposure of the people making the calls are always tightly controlled and it ends up looking like it was professionally done. the lighting on the dude in the leaked shot looks very amateur. he also looks like he has a black eye due to bad lighting.
- SEThofMONROVIA, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2Have you ever had a video chat that is that clear??
- thirty6chambers, on 06/07/2008, -1/+0"companies ALWAYS use better quality images than what the product can actually provide." read that again but comprehend it this time.
- xenoc1de, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2The photo is a camera shot of the screen of his laptop. Obviously this is kinda useless when you can printscreen, but what does the quality really say? Nothing.
- Burn, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1Don't see anything wrong with those images...they looked just fine on my MacBook Pro :P.
- slyzxx, on 06/07/2008, -4/+9damn you carlos for getting our hopes up damn fakers
- tigerbeat, on 06/07/2008, -1/+25
If they came from photoshop, why take crappy iPhone photos instead of exporting a high quality image? Or at least a decent screenshot? Except perhaps to make it harder for people to tell they are fake?
And why did they watermark crunchgear on them when anyone can grab them from flickr?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/27431673@N02/- airmann90, on 06/07/2008, -0/+5Or maybe someone was somewhere they shouldn't have been and snapped some photos with their phone...
- devindotcom, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1CrunchGear actually got the photos before they were put up on flickr, its in the comments
- DraxusD, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1and forgot to add the watermark until after they were ganked? then why bother?
- Duggan360, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1And maybe they shouldn't of had them open in photoshop?
