- TheSevenDuffs, on 11/15/2007, -5/+48How can people play NES or GBA games on the iPhone with no tactile feel of the buttons? It must feel horrible to control.
- stopbrorape, on 11/14/2007, -0/+19why is a hello kitty game on there
- cheese06, on 11/15/2007, -0/+13yeah too bad it was just updated to 0.0.5. with new interface and some major tweaks. c'mon now. what you just said remind me of people on the internets saying "first" on every post.
- bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -1/+11I dunno, I paid $400 for mine. And when I'm done surfing the web in desktop-quality, submitting pictures I take directly to flickr, watching TV shows I record with MythTV in decent quality, I can play some Marble Madness. Don't knock it 'til you try it, I guess.
- bleep1912, on 11/14/2007, -0/+9same, but this a decently stable release.
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -1/+8It's always interesting to watch emulators evolve. Grats to the devs.
- Shalaby, on 11/14/2007, -0/+6"We happen to already own Hello Kitty Party in physical ROM form. So that's what I decided to test out."
- KayinNasaki, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4I dunno, maybe people who'd like to play GBA games on their IPod? Is such a thing that hard to fathom?
- starkruzr, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4Whoever told you this is an idiot.
SIM unlocking *can* "lead you to brickville." 3rd-party applications never will. - kaintehdragoon, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4Bitter much?
- sakuraz, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4Someone needs a hug
- PathDaemon, on 11/14/2007, -0/+4A few months back someone posted a suggestion to find a thin rubbery film (like a nonadhesive screen protector) and cut holes in it for the buttons. This supposedly brought the tactile back and made play much easier.
- BrainsForDinner, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3I've heard a few comments about people not being able to dial a phone number on the iPhone. I don't get it. I've never had a problem, at all. Who could possibly be having a problem with this? The keys are big and all you gotta do is barely touch them. Works flawlessly, every time.
- stormbreaker, on 11/14/2007, -2/+5Not new. It's been out for a week or two, but only released to the Installer.app yesterday. It's updated version is much better. I'm running Pokemon and Advance Wars and Fire Emblem. With more development (and believe me: it's coming) it'll look great.
- unit101, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3The most playable game I've tried so far is Metroid Fusion.
- ferrari1234567, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3I think Google's Android is going to be a sick platform for stuff like this when its ready. Apple ruins all the fun when cool stuff is developed....
- bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3It really depends on the game. Some are quite playable. I like Marble Madness... works well. I don't keep my whole ROM library on the phone since in my opinion so few work. But it really comes down to trial and error of which games you feel work best.
- unnes, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3You're right: the touch screen pretty much sucks for action games or things you need reflexes for. However, I'm most looking forward to playing RPGs like Fire Emblem, FFTA, and Golden Sun... Tactile feel isn't really important for them, strategy is.
- RobotBuddha, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3I suspect it to as well, but how this will all shape out remains to be seen. On one hand, at the moment a person can code directly in C/C++ for the iphone. Android's sticks the user in a java sandbox. Hardware accelerated, sure, but any removal from the bare metal becomes significant when dealing with processor speeds that low. However, the friendliness to accelerated video rendering might be enough to compensate for it. In any case, it should be very interesting to watch.
- Detritus, on 11/14/2007, -0/+3Our President calls it "Internets". Chesse is standing by our Commander-In-Chief during War Time. Why do you hate America?
- Dugly, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2i also set mine up for myth and I gotta tell you, it's the best money I have spent in a long time! Being able to watch whatever I've recorded from anywhere (almost literally) is simply amazing
- RobotBuddha, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2I'm just using a PDA to access our home media share, but I totally agree about how useful it can be. Everything from being able to grab audio at random while mowing the lawn, to catching a couple minutes of a documentary while waiting for people to get ready to get ready.
- pipdip, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2It's definitely not ready for primetime, even with todays upgrade. It's playable, get still have some major problems to overcome. However, development seems to be rapid and who knows how quickly it will be before a bug-free version is released. It is weird to play but not as bad you may think for not pressing actual buttons.
- darkNiGHTS, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2And you'll be able to play it with real buttons :).
- darkNiGHTS, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2Looks worth using to me:

- unit101, on 11/14/2007, -1/+3This release is a lot better than the previous. Still needs some work though. Good job guys!
- havuk, on 11/14/2007, -0/+2GBA Emulator for iPhone = 572 Diggs
Stable CPS-3 Emulator = 3 Diggs
Wow. - bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1Your comment started with words that when placed next to each other made some sense, but then took a dark turn...
- bob12321, on 11/14/2007, -2/+3Its called the interwebz.
- deceased88, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2I tried and can't do it for that exact reason.
- bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1They chose it because that was the only cart they had on hand, and wanted (for some reason) to stay as legal as possible and only emulate a game they had physically on hand.
- bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1If only I had more than but one digg to give you Detritus...
- luchid, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1It's not really that hard. Two clicks on Installer.app to install the emulator, a drag and drop for the BIOS file and another one for the ROMs.
- mrosen310, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2i have the nes thing its fun u get used to it
- pak314, on 11/17/2007, -0/+1Meanwhile Apple is doing everything possible to prevent even the iPhone users from doing this.
- bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1Yea I forgot to mention that, pretty much any RPG works great. Even Zelda isn't half bad, though it's got a bit more action that most RPGs. All the NES Final Fantasy games work great, and if that was all that worked, it'd still be awesome to carry around that much game play with you.
- thetin, on 11/16/2007, -0/+1Leaf Green Baby, Leaf Greeeeen!
(come on full screen gaming!) - Valkyr, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1Remember this URL: Http://www.emuparadise.org
- cave, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1Link to CPS-3 Digg please?
- bigsteve, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2I think I type about 2-3x faster on my iPhone than I do on my work-issue Treo. I was a little clumsy at first, but you learn to trust it, and you get used to it, and it gets used to you. I find myself basically just throwing my fingers around the keyboard in the direction of letters I want, only to look up to see that my entire thought came through flawlessly, or maybe tops one mistake. A quick triple-tap and the looking-glass thing pops up, i zoom over, and fix it just as fast.
- Terc, on 11/14/2007, -0/+1Someone's jealous their free flip phone can't do this (and all the other things the iPhone does)
- JohnH91, on 11/14/2007, -0/+0Pokemon here i come. :)
- probFake, on 11/14/2007, -0/+0There's a few "known issues" D-pad right & b button combo. It's being worked on.
- cheese06, on 11/14/2007, -1/+1uh hello!? this is the new 0.0.5 update of gpsp. thats why its new.
- ardembiniwoot, on 11/14/2007, -0/+0PathDaemon is reffering to a material used for the condom cases like ipod's..even with it you can still scroll! :D so yeah, just mold it to a condom case for the iphone but with buttons and there you go! ...but yeah, you still have to... iphone wasn't made to enjoy classic games... :(
- Subassy, on 11/14/2007, -2/+1Seeing that description made me want to comment for some reason: it took me four hours to find a real live BIOS ROM for GBA that worked. Very frustrating looking for it but I was happy when I found it. No, I probably shouldn't give you any clues on finding it, like some Electronic Jackass... like strange F1 hybrid of...oh never mind.
- medulla, on 11/14/2007, -2/+1wow seems fast since the the GP2x family still hasn't made a stable GBA emulator that is worth using...
- ardembiniwoot, on 11/14/2007, -4/+1um.. *coughs*... it's um.. for ..you know... testing the emulator on different types of games... *coughs* ...yes ^_^; hehe... yes... for testing *coughs* hehe XD :P
