- chanceman, on 10/11/2007, -14/+292The worlds most copied tabs are gone...
- VSLOATHE, on 10/11/2007, -62/+254OMG LET'S ALL FELLATE APPLE
- leprix, on 10/18/2007, -12/+171DUDE! the search on the webpage is just like Spotlight!
- SnuKs, on 10/11/2007, -16/+169About time they changed it. With all the new stuff they're rollin out in 07, a refreshed website just makes sense.
- hoodlum54, on 10/11/2007, -17/+140Did anyone notice that the #3 most popular download on the apple site is Windows Media Player?
- cklol, on 10/11/2007, -24/+125This doesn't make up for the keynote being basically pointless.
- hydratedsquash, on 10/11/2007, -32/+112Agreed. Awesome. Easier to look at on mobile devices too.
- chrisxkelley, on 10/11/2007, -11/+83I love the new design. The old one was really fading away with 10.2- type designs. The new menubar looks like apple will be moving all to the unified cocoa look for everythng- especially seeing their new finder and Safari 3 in the keynote.
- airquotes, on 10/11/2007, -22/+90Anybody watch the video about the new finder? Windows explorer just got so owned, lets see how they fail to copy this.
- geniusj, on 10/11/2007, -15/+81For once I'll agree with the usual trolls . . This seems like a little too much excitement over a new website.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -26/+88Some of you have not found the inner strength to learn how to balance your Cool and Geek levels. I didn't learn until I turned 24, but trust me the earlier you learn the better you will be with hot chicks.
Hot chicks digg smart guys, but not nerds who can't keep it low key. - MavRevMatt, on 10/11/2007, -7/+55Wow, this is a sad set of comments.
- RonAcierno, on 02/07/2008, -9/+56it is the World Wide DEVELOPER Conference....
So unless you are a developer, it most likely was going to be boring. - Appleboi4evr, on 10/11/2007, -6/+42its not brushed metal...
- xXShadowstormXx, on 10/11/2007, -24/+58Fanboys.
- Kerjo, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Compared to everything else* they got today, this is pretty good news.
*Nothing. - jesstech, on 10/11/2007, -21/+43I was just thinking the other day that Apple needed to lose the glossy tabs look after seeing the iPod introduction from 2001. It was the same Apple website, but with a godawful serif font.
This is welcome relief. Nice job. More exciting than the damn keynote, actually. - ez12a, on 10/11/2007, -6/+27@ gldfshnpcklejar
you failed to watch the keynote with one of the guys from iD presenting a new graphical game engine. - HarryHunt, on 10/11/2007, -13/+31The best part of this is that it doesn't use Flash and still is pretty flashy! And the usability is very good. Well done!
- noahhoward, on 10/11/2007, -5/+20Developers don't generally go to WWDC just for the keynote.
- asancho, on 10/11/2007, -6/+21Im a huge apple fan. That being said, why is the main advertised feature of leopard "Hey look, we have a shiny reflection beneath the dock!?!?! See!?!", and "Hey look, you can stack files! ZoMG!" Its nice and all, but seriously, is this what Apple was afraid Microsoft as going to copy?
- Scruffydan, on 10/11/2007, -47/+62it's a just a web site... for god sakes!
- hoodlum54, on 10/11/2007, -6/+20@pierre...you sir are a fool. Even in Job's own words, the latest installment of Mac OS X...it's not Mac OS XI...it's an update to the current system...just like a service pack to windows, except those are free.
How come whenever Apple does ANYTHING it's considered "Major"? - joeroot1, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18People who are blasting the site saying its nothing special obviously haven't looked around, or have no basic concept of good web design and coding.
http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/ - the effects on that page are phenomenal, along with the scrollbars throughout the site, and furthermore it works across all browsers. - stalefries, on 10/11/2007, -3/+16They said in the Keynote that they were switching to a unified theme.
- vwgtiturbo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17I am as big of a fanboy as the next guy, but JESUS CHRIST, it is just a web site. *****, you basement dwellers really need to get out into the sun every now and again...
- Rued, on 10/11/2007, -34/+47dude - the website is pretty f'ing ordinary...and so was that WWDC...
jeez, why do I get worked up about these things? - defectDS, on 10/11/2007, -8/+20@rued
You obviously have not ventured beyond the front page.

Design is more than gloss and reflection. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+19meh...
- theone3, on 10/11/2007, -10/+21It was completely useless for developers too - the whole thing was a giant waste of time. Steve Jobs may as well have got up, said "you know all the new features already - we refreshed the UI a little, not much, replaced the finder with something that looks like iTunes, including cover flow, added a quick file preview feature and uh.. that's it. Also we've ported safari to windows for iPhone development, and we have a widget-like dev environment for the iPhone. Have fun! Cya!"
- meshman, on 10/11/2007, -16/+26Can't have an Apple site without the childish MS bashing ads. Can't have a keynote without one either. Hell, open it with a direct bash at your competition! It makes you lourk smarterrer.
- UglyShirts, on 10/11/2007, -10/+20Big whoop. Wake me up when the fanboys stop masturbating.
- ajchavar, on 10/11/2007, -6/+14@ hydrated squash, i bet they purposely made it easier for mobile devices what with the iphone and everything, since of course that'll be set at the homepage when you first get an iphone.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13Very vanilla. Dug down for being the 198365928360293865023897th duplicate of this lame story.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11Looks like they had fun with Scriptaculous...
- EvilGnomeAndy, on 10/11/2007, -7/+13@airquotes:
Coverflow in Finder. Great. Did they add cut/paste functionality yet?
Apple and I have different priorities. - championchap, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Anyone after a comparison should check out the UK site. At the time of posting it has yet to be updated.
http://www.apple.com/uk/
The glossy tabs were tacky. The new site is lovely, and with some lovely swishyness here and there. Not too much. - winmywii, on 10/11/2007, -11/+17I don't see why it is so "awesome". I mean I like it because it is simple, but come on now. It is far from awesome.
- JerodSlay, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10When are they going to put Core 2 Duo chips in the mac minis? How long does it take?
- chaos7, on 10/11/2007, -10/+15apple has a new web site. wow..who cares. bury as lame.
- BlueCadenza, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7http://images.apple.com/mac/images/macatwork_creativepro.jpg
Excuse my childish-ness but its on the front page! Thats a umm funny looking microphone! - kingkao, on 10/11/2007, -8/+13apple, blah blah blah, apple. stupid apple fan-boys. no need to digg because all other apple fan-boys visit the apple site enough.
buried for unnecessary update on junk. - Mac2492, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5The website is definitely improved, but does it really deserve 6,000 diggs?
Digg me down if I'm completely missing something... - reddevil3, on 10/11/2007, -9/+13"fap fap" go the Apple fanboys.
- Balanced, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7They seem to work for me. Have you considered that it might be a personal problem?
- hinkbot, on 10/11/2007, -8/+12@RRJackson
It's a developer conference, so yeah, there wasn't any mentioning of hardware. - Ridikul, on 10/11/2007, -8/+12This site is a bitch on dial-up.
- hoodlum54, on 10/11/2007, -10/+14Bah, you apple people are so defensive...WWDC wasn't the best this year...they rehashed MANY things from last year. They didn't even throw in any features that people didn't already know about it. Cover flow for finder? Who cares! It would take me 15 minutes to "flow" through anything to find some of my files.
- LoganT, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I think the reason that people are so excited about the new site is that it's pretty much looked the same for the last 7 years.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6@hinkbot
Apple has debuted a lot of hardware at past WWDCs. The G5 in 2003. Cinema Displays in 2004. The Mac Pro last year. As long overdue as the next generation of iMacs are, I was kind of hoping for an announcement today. I actually sold the 20" model that I use on the road instead of a laptop a few months ago and have been patiently waiting for the next gen before buying a replacement. -
