- rbedi100, on 12/03/2007, -8/+145Money grubbing corporate fiends. No portable devices? Wow. Talk about a big, fat, stupid corporation ruining a perfectly good thing they had with iTunes. Who cares if you can't change the price of your shows??? You have inconvenienced millions of people. Jerks.
- foofightrs777, on 12/03/2007, -2/+98Way to alienate the youth demographic NBC. Real smooth move.
- jmpeagle, on 12/03/2007, -4/+81this is going to hurt them more in a time of a revenue crunch due to the writer's strike....looks like Apple just got a little more powerful on the bargaining side
- cyclonesworld, on 12/03/2007, -3/+73I guess NBC doesn't like money.
- jrisbundyboyz, on 12/03/2007, -1/+70NBC no mac support and vista issues... awesome transition

- Lkr721993, on 12/03/2007, -2/+48nooo not telemundo!
- mrfreeziexp, on 12/03/2007, -4/+47"You have inconvenienced millions of people"
Until they realize they can just torrent it for free and in better quality. All this does for NBC is now they don't get any money for their programming, atleast they got SOMETHING from iTunes. I - Netrilix, on 12/03/2007, -7/+48Sucks for NBC. In the past two weeks alone I've spent over $200 on iTunes TV shows, and I'm sticking with iTunes. NBC won't be getting any money from me through any other means, and I'm sure quite a few people feel the same way.
- DelMonte, on 12/03/2007, -2/+41Someone should release a bittorrent client that specializes in finding and downloading only NBC shows...
- Puppetfunk, on 12/03/2007, -1/+36dude the only things my mom can do is, check email, play freecell, and use itunes. Explaining torrents to her would make her brain explode.
- badlogik, on 12/03/2007, -4/+34Sadly for them, NBC content was the only stuff that I bought off of iTunes. And I am sticking with iTunes, NOT NBC. I can just as happily find something else.
- TheRealAlzabo, on 12/03/2007, -3/+31Oh gee, this is terrible.
I guess I'll have to go get TV Show and Transmission and have the shows on my machine.....*SANS commercials and in HD* by the next day.
Oh wait.......
Cya bitches. - Celeron, on 12/03/2007, -3/+30Lets hope NBC gets hit hard and realizes what big of a mistake they did.
- KingLeo, on 12/03/2007, -7/+30DivX... here we come!
- the699375, on 12/03/2007, -0/+23Today's class "How to Encourage Pirating" will be taught by our guest lecturer Mr. NBC-Universal.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -1/+23Wow, Windows and IE only and your shows disappear after 7 days. How many fools are going to jump on this bandwagon. Good move asswipes (NBC)
- NeoSporin, on 12/03/2007, -2/+21I'll be worried about this once Battlestar is back
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -7/+25That's too bad. I guess I'll have to start using my EyeTV DVR to catch Law & Order. Oh wait, I was doing that anyway.
- themoosejuice, on 12/03/2007, -2/+19Hmmmm... now my choice is nbc.com or torrents. Well,, i cant download nbc.com onto my ipod (or any portable device) so it looks like im back to torrents again. Nice step back guys.
- phogasmic, on 12/03/2007, -1/+17Jack Asses. I love NBC shows (#1 30 Rock ), but I will not be firing up Windows and IE just to watch them. I hate DRM, but I found ITunes DRM acceptable because I could at least watch shows on my IPod. If I can't do that, then what's the point of downloading it legally. Sorry NBC, but if I want to watch your shows when and where I want too and I am actually willing to pay for the experience. Since I can no longer do that, I will be trying other means. I don't understand why the studios have t be exclusive any f***in way. Just sell the shows everywhere, or make them commercially supported downloads. Its 2007 for gods sake.
- link5280, on 12/03/2007, -0/+16Meet the Depressed!
- lougoose, on 12/03/2007, -4/+19Some of us prefer to get stuff legally...
Except porn. - secleinteer, on 12/03/2007, -0/+13You mean XviD...
- StMac, on 12/03/2007, -1/+13Frak, no more bsg.
- epyon180, on 12/03/2007, -2/+13I don't have a hulu.com invite so guess what website I will get my shows from...
- dmbohn, on 12/03/2007, -1/+11please, one hour after it airs there's already 1500 people seeding that *****.
- sparkmonkeyz, on 12/03/2007, -1/+11Hell, they alienated people from every demographic. My mom uses firefox, so no go for her, and my dad is a mac user; not to mention one of the only reasons they bought shows on iTunes, was because of its simplicity.
- happyfundave, on 12/03/2007, -0/+10OK i'm a mac user so I'm out, but who the hell uses IE nowadays. Even my dad has firefox.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -4/+13***** that, Meet the Press better not go away!
- bigt8dogg, on 12/03/2007, -1/+10Moron
- Vulphaestion, on 12/03/2007, -11/+19Scrubs?
- phogasmic, on 12/03/2007, -0/+8I want to watch shows on my IPOD, its really that simple. Because of the policies of the studios, shows have to be DRM'ed to be sold online. The only DRM content that works on my IPOD is stuff sold through ITunes. I'd rather buy DRM free TV shows from any retailer. Its not about Apple to me, its about being able to enjoy content when and where I want. Its about embracing technology rather then letting greed stifle it.
- lougoose, on 12/03/2007, -1/+9Yeah...NBC is run by retards. And they don't even wanna pay their people to make versions for Mac or Linux so that we can watch their shows without paying...
- Shorties, on 12/03/2007, -1/+9For those wondering why NBC shows like Chuck and Journeyman are still on iTunes it is because they are produced by other companies like WB and FOX.
- link5280, on 12/03/2007, -1/+9For some reason NBC thinks eliminating the outlets to sell their media is a good idea. I would try to sell shows at as many content providers as a could.
- mimbomike, on 12/03/2007, -2/+10Thank God for that. Anyone else think Chuck is awesome?
- Snakedal337, on 12/03/2007, -0/+8More seeds for me, I won't complain.
- LetsGoHokies, on 12/03/2007, -8/+16The Office?
- 656782, on 12/03/2007, -0/+8well, that just increased the activity on torrents.
- wphj, on 12/03/2007, -3/+10The Office?
They even produce House! - giant.robot, on 12/03/2007, -2/+9I tried to put up with NBC's website for watching the Office this season. I won't be going back. The player itself is a piece of *****. It's "fullscreen" mode is nowhere close to fullscreen and when the video switches to a commercial takes you out of fullscreen so you have to manually set it back when the show comes back on. If you dare scrub through the video (which is completely imprecise) to almost always end up scrubbing over a commercial marker and are forced to watch the commercial again. The commercials are as bad as those on television, their audio is boosted far above that of the show you're watching so commercials are blasting loud while the show itself is quiet. NBC also locks down the last minute or so of an episode behind yet another commercial. For the Office this really sucks because they often stick an episode referencing joke or event at the very last bit of the show before the credits.
All in all it was an absolutely horrible experience and I'm amazed that I managed to get through five episodes of the Office on the site. After the first two episodes I was gritting my teeth waiting for the pain to end. I had thought about buying the season 4 DVD set when it eventually comes out but I'm not going to support NBC's ridiculous behavior. They've not only lost my money from iTunes but they're also not going to see a dime out of me for DVDs. If I really can't get by without seeing the fourth season of the Office I'll just add it to my Netflix queue when it's available. - explnx, on 04/27/2009, -1/+8This is what we call "sour grapes", internet.
- thespace2, on 12/03/2007, -1/+8Pop quiz: What does NBC, RIAA, and MPAA have in common?
- schavira, on 12/03/2007, -1/+8We could all go to Hulu and watch that ***** Hitman commercial with the looped opera music 1000 times.
- aywwts4, on 12/03/2007, -4/+11Step one; Install the crappy default bittorent client (the one that looks just like a download window)
Step two; bookmark http://www.mininova.org/cat/8, or http://thepiratebay.org/tv or even bookmark her show directly
Step three, explain what the 'S03E01' etc, means, tell her to download any of the ones around 350 "mibs" show her the seeds and tell her the bigger the number the faster the download. then tell her to click the down arrow. Its best to write this down.
My grandmother can torrent just fine. - superkendall, on 12/03/2007, -1/+7I want the OPTION to pay them money, for more convenience on my end (no need for an internet connection when I'm watching - like on a plane or a bus!!).
Is that so wrong? To want to give a company money for something I like? - msbeckman, on 12/03/2007, -0/+6Ooo I know this one. They all love to ***** people over!
- jmgarrison, on 12/03/2007, -0/+6Well you can go to "Check for Purchases" and it will find your downloads that are missing.
