- pioneerthemes, on 04/19/2008, -12/+5Awesome!
- 5urr3al5am, on 04/19/2008, -2/+3Why is it that all of these 'guys' that make these demo video clips sound so gay?
- bowe, on 04/20/2008, -2/+2And dude has a breathing problem.
- 5urr3al5am, on 04/19/2008, -2/+3Why is it that all of these 'guys' that make these demo video clips sound so gay?
- dteare, on 04/19/2008, -5/+12Amazing! That coverflow preview is a great idea.
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -11/+6MT decided to do some unscheduled maintenance on my server, screen cast can be found at:
http://blip.tv/file/832230- UGM2099, on 04/19/2008, -8/+1I was hoping to be rick roll'd :(
- foxhaze, on 04/19/2008, -19/+12Holy damn, that was a piece of *****.
- Rotzooi, on 04/19/2008, -20/+12Lame.
- UGM2099, on 04/19/2008, -7/+8Aside from being cool as hell this is a very practical extension of a simple and beautiful interface.
- wiredclimber, on 04/19/2008, -9/+12Pretty darn clever
- phlezk, on 04/19/2008, -6/+37don't care about the coverflow, but thanks for showing me a cool new mixtape website
- kensuke155, on 04/19/2008, -1/+2i second the motion
- metafluence, on 04/19/2008, -7/+3Now, throw in a little Airfoil and it is even betterer
- itod47, on 04/19/2008, -7/+8You can also use Fluid + Coverflow + Digg to preview thumbnails of Dugg stories in coverflow: http://www.vimeo.com/895002/
- Whamola, on 04/19/2008, -10/+5Wow, someone actually found a use for cloverflow?!
Hey Ripleys, you're now going to believe this!- santaliqueur, on 04/19/2008, -4/+6Troll, begging to start a flame war. Yawn.
- Tyr7BE, on 04/19/2008, -4/+8Hey coverflow's damn useful - say, for example, you want to browse your music library album by album, and you want the process to be as slow and tedious as possible - well if that's the case, have I got an interface for you! Need to see tiny versions of your documents with completely illegible text? No problem! Have a large number of files you're trying to sort and you're looking to be overwhelmed? Well it can do that too.
- Garlik, on 04/19/2008, -1/+5I use coverflow when I'm looking for a document but I'm not sure what the name is, but using the spacebar to look at a preview of the document is both a lot easier and a lot faster.
- venicerocco, on 04/19/2008, -2/+3It's quite useful for browsing photos actually, as you might imagine.
- 5urr3al5am, on 04/19/2008, -0/+4I would think a large grid of small thumbnails would be much much quicker
- flashback99, on 04/19/2008, -2/+3Shut up windows.
- kru1e, on 04/19/2008, -3/+5Great use of a couple different applications there. But where can I get the awesome Walle Wallpaper, link anyone?
- tidu, on 04/19/2008, -0/+2I was thinking the same thing. I looked and couldn't find it, maybe its a cap from one of the HD trailers
- synthoid, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2http://home.comcast.net/~synthoid/walle-rubix-huge ...

- RBrenner14, on 04/19/2008, -1/+16Don't care about CoverFlow, but how does this Muxtape site work? How are they allowed to let you listen to all these MP3s?
- UGM2099, on 04/19/2008, -1/+6Of course it's not on the up and up, but he does have unofficial backing from some pretty significant players, so it will be interesting to see how things go.
- kensuke155, on 04/19/2008, -7/+0similar to http://www.pandora.com/
- rreadysetno, on 04/19/2008, -0/+7No,
- aelias, on 04/20/2008, -1/+1could be like pandora
- jordanmac, on 04/19/2008, -10/+3is there a windows equivalent to this? it looks really cool
- Bromskloss, on 04/19/2008, -3/+7What is Muxtape? I see I can listen to music on their page, but I don't get what the idea is.
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -1/+1When you sign up you get a space to upload 12 songs which can then be shared with anyone and streamed directly from the browser (or on an iphone)
- Bromskloss, on 04/19/2008, -2/+2What's the point with that? And how do they know what the corresponding Amazon link is?
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -0/+3The point is to share musix with your friends. It's a pretty popular past time you should try it.
They know the amazon links through a serious of code related magical spells.
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -0/+3The point is to share musix with your friends. It's a pretty popular past time you should try it.
- rreadysetno, on 04/19/2008, -0/+7These digital kids know nothing of mix tapes.
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -1/+1Actually I still exchange mixtapes (on real cassettes) all the time!
- Bromskloss, on 04/19/2008, -2/+2What's the point with that? And how do they know what the corresponding Amazon link is?
- wacomwacoff, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1That's the whole idea. You can make mixtapes and listen to other people's mixes.
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -1/+1When you sign up you get a space to upload 12 songs which can then be shared with anyone and streamed directly from the browser (or on an iphone)
- Rsulliv1, on 04/19/2008, -4/+21The narrator's voice and attitude reminded me of the smug South Park episode.
- 5urr3al5am, on 04/19/2008, -1/+3oh the guy that works 'down at the social center' on Family Guy.. "How you-all doing tonight.. great I hope!"
- crazysamz, on 04/19/2008, -4/+3I like coverflow on Mac OS and on this nifty little App, but i never thought it was a practical thing to do on the ipod, it rarely gets used on it.
- dinkola, on 04/19/2008, -7/+5He forgot to explain the point. I watched the video, but failed to see anything new or cool.
- wacomwacoff, on 04/19/2008, -1/+3Then you didn't pay attention. Muxtape is a site that lets you listen to other people's mixtapes for free. This guy put together a little app that lets you play their mixes on your desktop in a really convenient way. Ta da!
- zotokk, on 04/19/2008, -1/+9Mozilla's Prism http://labs.mozilla.com/2007/10/prism/ is the Windows, Linux equivalent for fluid.
- pak314, on 04/19/2008, -1/+15How many people actually like coverflow? It is nice eye candy but I don't find it useful when browsing through songs or files.
- flap, on 04/19/2008, -0/+3I agree I don't use coverflow for anything on my mac. However in the case of muxtape there is no way to view playlists any other way. It should be noted you can view them in thumbnails not just coverflow
- FDDIcent, on 04/19/2008, -0/+3I use it for looking through folders with lots of pictures, but your right it certainly isn't practical most of the time.
- scthk, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1I also like it for folders with lots of presentations on them, but with QuickView, that is usually sufficient.
My biggest complaint is below the coverflow view images is list view, which I would prefer column view.
Maybe there is a hack for that.
- scthk, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1I also like it for folders with lots of presentations on them, but with QuickView, that is usually sufficient.
- aelias, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1It doesn't "spring" right for me. It's jerky even on a fast machine and it hurts my eyes to use it for too long. Glaven.
- dustinmacdonald, on 04/19/2008, -8/+3Amazingly lame. The whole point of cover flow is to see 'covers' of the files you're browsing so you can pick ones out more easily. It doesn't make any sense to have each thumbnail be a text list of songs.
- wacomwacoff, on 04/19/2008, -2/+2Wrong. The whole point of what this guy did is use Coverflow to make Muxtape into an easily-browsable desktop app. Not lame at all.
- Rekzai, on 04/19/2008, -4/+7I don't see how this is useful, eye candy is overrated.
- Midnightrambler, on 04/19/2008, -1/+3If you have ever used the muxtape web site you would see the benefit of setting this up.
- Takuro, on 04/19/2008, -0/+1Pretty cool, but not exactly earth-shaking. It's sort of lame that even with coverflow page browsing, it still has to open the site's page in a separate window, where you then have to manually scroll to and select the link to the song.
- BBrains, on 04/19/2008, -2/+0..or you could just use Soundflavor (www.soundflavor.com), which has had this capability for nearly a year.
- amneosis, on 04/19/2008, -1/+3wow, I'd never heard of fluid or muxtape, score! the muxtape flickr icon group is a great tip too, those favicons looks ***** in the dock.
- unicornpaco, on 04/19/2008, -2/+3i wish i had a mac. :(
- GunDownCCL, on 04/19/2008, -1/+6Hmm... and interesting dilemma. Perhaps getting a mac might help.
- frieddonuts, on 04/20/2008, -0/+2By Jove! That's brilliant!
- aelias, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1Just wait a week, someone will write something.
- GunDownCCL, on 04/19/2008, -1/+6Hmm... and interesting dilemma. Perhaps getting a mac might help.
- bakersfield90, on 04/20/2008, -1/+2the narrator's voice made me want to punch a baby....
- TrevorBelmont, on 04/20/2008, -0/+1I was very tempted to bury you for using the pseudo-word "hawt".
- benjackthomas, on 04/25/2008, -0/+1Brilliantly simple explanation of an excellent website that opens up a world of other peoples music using the coolness of Macs - nice one.
Does anyone know any other websites that Fluid works so seamlessly with? - dougmccune, on 04/25/2008, -0/+0Taking this up a notch: http://dougmccune.com/blog/2008/04/25/introducing- ...
