You don't do a countdown for linux events, you don't do a countdown for windows events, you don't do a countdown for major gaming events, so remove the stupid macworld expo countdown.

    and yes I know there' the option to remove the banner from the homepage, but it' pisses me off everytime I navigate away from the site or close my banner, the damned thing comes back.

I know Kevin is like Jesus around here (he's a cool guy, but people do sure brown nose him a lot...especially since he likes Apple), but I mean, c'mon...do you think Apple cares about the Mac community as much as they care about Apple? I never understood the fanatical obsession people have with it...it's just a computer.

      I know I'll be dugg down, but I hate to see people get dugg down in an Apple topic just because they say anything even remotely negative, even if it's true, about Apple.

          Every media outlet, big or small, with a general audience or a niche market alike, has bias. Personally I think E3 is incredibly f*&%ing stupid, and would be appalled to see any public support for it in the form of a Digg banner ad; of course, if they posted one, I couldn't do much about it. Because, like we all know, every media outlet has bias. Just because Digg's bias happens to be favorable to a niche market of rabid consumers who can, will and have dugg you down, does not make it different than any other bias.
          • digitalarcanum, on 01/13/2008, -2/+2Digg use to be an unbiased tech news site before the newfags poured in and ruined it. digg expanded to cover other news topics (politics, sports, celebrities, offbeat news, etc. al.) and then ***** got ruined. Prior the the influx of peckerheads that would flame other users for legitimate tech questions, digg use to be unbiased.

            Not to mention this is supposed to be a democratic news site. If I'm blocking particular catagories (let's say Apple for instance) why in *****'s name would I want a countdown banner for macworld on my god damn front page when there wasn't one for the CES?

            So you think E3 is incredibly ***** stupid? I think the tech world hanging at the edge of their seats to listen to one ***** CEO's keynote address about "new" technology (that isn't all that revolutionary) is incredibly ***** stupid. Seems we're at an impasse here..
