- chemic34, on 01/06/2009, -4/+191I wish they hacked the keynote, then it would have actually been interesting.
- woofers07, on 01/06/2009, -8/+151they could've at least been a bit more creative about it, instead of sounding like a bunch of 12 year olds.

Also, beware the goatse. - Radan, on 01/06/2009, -0/+75I believe you think way too highly of the guys at 4Chan...
- digitalpencil, on 01/06/2009, -3/+66it was actually because admin files were inadvertently mirrored across multiple server instances with incorrect permissions so php could be displayed..
MRLive wasn't hacked.. /g/tards walked in through an open door.. lol
Funnier hearing everyone at /g/ laughing their collective ass off at pissed MR members crying 'get the FBI' over on the forums.
"Steve Jobs is dead" was pretty damn funny though!

- CIAVT, on 01/06/2009, -19/+68It pissed me off at first, but reading the thread over at 4chan had me laughing... ***** win for /g/

MacRumorsLive Hacked

Our MacRumorsLive keynote coverage was hacked today, inserting inappropriate content into the text and photo feeds. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to restore our services. The hack appears to be limited to the MacRumorsLive servers so forum accounts should be safe.
We'll continue Macworld Expo coverage on an ongoing basis this week, and will report on Apple's announcements shortly. - RizzoFrank, on 01/06/2009, -4/+402009 appears to be the year for hacking.
- McNash, on 01/06/2009, -3/+38Looks like there were too many newfags.
- Nephersir7, on 01/06/2009, -5/+34macs are pc's
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -6/+33I saw goatse and now I need counseling. seriously. I went to macrumors expecting to see something pretty and shiny, but all I got was goatse.
- inactive, on 01/06/2009, -10/+35***** Engadget.
They are pretentious ***** and their coverage was *****.
Everytime Apple talked about something that wasn't a piece of hardware or didn't coincide with their "rumor round up" they would just post updates like "wake me up when this is over" or "snooze!"
How about ACTUALLY reporting on the keynote for people that are ACTUALLY excited for the new features that they implemented in the iLife and iWork 09 suite. - Zippo, on 01/06/2009, -4/+28I was wondering why I couldn't access the site. Engadget got my traffic instead.
- savocado, on 01/06/2009, -1/+21I didnt do it, I just made screenshots. And it's Vista Home, BTW.

4chan does it again. - TheFinaleofSeem, on 01/07/2009, -0/+16They are a bunch of 12 year olds.
- lololol1, on 01/06/2009, -12/+28...you can't do that on a mac
- ToastPop, on 04/17/2009, -19/+34This is so stupid... Grow up teenage nerds.
- rayefrenzy, on 01/06/2009, -1/+16what ever happened to blaming ebaums?
- NathanielJ, on 01/06/2009, -1/+15If you scroll to the bottom of the feed, it was pretty amusing at first (before about 40 of them started inserting random comments at once).
- theutopian, on 01/06/2009, -8/+21I don't think it's very funny at all. This is probably one of the last keynotes and MacRumors put a lot of time and effort into covering it, only to have it brought down by a bunch of immature morons. People forget that MacRumors is a business and this is a huge embarrassment for them and their advertisers.
I loved their coverage and had to switch over to someone else to get updates. Thanks to Twitter bombing today, their Twitter coverage didn't work either.
Not like it really matters, the products announced weren't really that exciting anyway. - dn11, on 01/06/2009, -3/+15and apparently it was hacked by an autistic chimpanzee who drank 30 red bulls. least they could have done is had a clever, witty comment prepared.
- scrap3r, on 01/06/2009, -0/+12Nothing can protect against a retarded admin/programmer.
- digitalpencil, on 01/06/2009, -1/+12^ MR has over 250,000 members. To put that into perspective, digg has around 2.2 mill (obviously only a portion are active). When you consider though that digg is a general news aggregator and macrumors deals with only mac news, you can begin to appreciate the sheer weight of this behemoth over the likes of tuaw, appleinsider, 9-5 etc.
Basically, they don't have to pull stunts to garner pageviews, they're ***** huge.. - TruckStuff, on 01/06/2009, -2/+11Full page here: http://i39.tinypic.com/muvcps.jpg
- savocado, on 01/06/2009, -5/+14Comment FAIL.
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 01/07/2009, -1/+10Right up until Steve Jobs finds them and eats them alive. Literally. He's gotta get that body weight back up, you know.
- Lacero, on 01/06/2009, -3/+11Did someone say Goatse? Goatse ftw!
- TheFinaleofSeem, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8That's like saying Hepatitis > AIDS.
- ProfChaosOmega, on 01/07/2009, -0/+8And nothing of value was lost.

- HypocriteDigg, on 01/06/2009, -7/+12I second the ***** ENGADGET! Bunch of geek bitches who only cover apple to attract the anti-everything-apple losers.
- rossnyc, on 01/06/2009, -3/+7DOPE. ^
- ether3a1, on 01/06/2009, -0/+4Yeah, it sucks that it happened, but I had it open on another screen while i was working and saw "STEVE JOBS HAS DIED" (or whatever) scroll by... and went... WTF?
I knew something was up, that someone had "hacked" it somehow. The continuation of other random crap that kept coming up reinforced that idea.
Oh well, had Engadget, Gizmodo, and gdgt for coverage. Lackluster keynote though! - Groller, on 01/07/2009, -0/+3I believe those are the file names that sites like imageshack (not it in particular) give to the files uploaded. I can't remember what site it is though that does that.
- digitalpencil, on 01/06/2009, -0/+3^ yeh, it was there briefly before they 404'd the domain.
