- wolphcry, on 10/12/2007, -2/+32I wonder what the CD is made from?
- Cosmosis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+38Mirror:
http://mirror.minyx.com/digg.com/mac_mini_bday_cake/normal_macminibcake.jpg - jman8888, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Mmm. I want that cake.. Mac mini.. Yum
- Kestral, on 10/12/2007, -3/+67From the crushed remnants of what's left of the eternally damned souls of RIAA executives I hope.
- royall64, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38..or just icing.
- msashlay, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Fondant
- cdmarcus, on 10/12/2007, -10/+2Is it just me or is that image from the mirror about 12000 pixels too long?
- woodcoxcb, on 10/12/2007, -7/+212,500 pixels too tall to be exact. Firefox pulled it up and it was scaled REALLY small... :P
- wingnut21, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Probably cardboard.
- inferno10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Talk about eye candy...
- Providence, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Too bad it's marzipan.
Barf. - Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1That CD looks awfully like a copy of Vista, I know, the key word being awfully.
- izzybomb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25haha, some emo kid posted on that image: "i wish my parents loved me enough to make me a weirdMac Mini cake. But they don't. I don't even get a birthday card. It's like I wasn't even born. "
- mlvassallo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Most likely the CD is made from Fondant.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fondant
It is also used to make flowers and other sculpted things on cakes. My mother makes wedding cakes :) - maddypaul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3marzipan
- Nerfdude, on 10/12/2007, -2/+915 and he's getting Apple-themed cake on his birthday? i hope this kid likes getting beat up, because highschool is going to be rough.
- kutza, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4I wonder if the cake cost $600 for a single processor 1.6GHz, 60GB, 512MB piece of crap too... (Excluding monitor of course)
- fatejudger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I just want to know what kind of parent names their kid Miles.
- Cosmosis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+38Mirror:
- metalica77, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5yummy is it chocolate
- drpunkerz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+41Apple White Chocolate™
- rypaintD, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15Apple White iChocolate ™ is the correct spelling.
- FluffyArmada, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7No, they changed remember? Now it's ... ™ White iChocolate™
- convergent, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3@drpunkerz: Cisco already took that name.
- PikeGranholm, on 10/12/2007, -40/+4Please, it was amusing the first couple times, but enough with the "cake made out of a gadget" already.
- profOblivion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+31... no, I'm still amused :)
- ajcannon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32it's a gadget made out of a cake
- sLydE, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8would anyone be interested in seeing a picture of a cake made for my brother-in-law, shaped like a gamecube+controller with licorice cords?
...didn't think so... - jman8888, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25@slyde .. I would.
- wphj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1200/picture1qk7.png
Haha, two apple cakes on the page at the same time!
- JavertHolmes, on 10/12/2007, -7/+18I hear 25% of the time the batter for the cake won't rise, with people paying upwards of $190 for a BatterCare guarantee that the batter will rise if the cake is prepared over the next three years.
- harisund, on 10/12/2007, -3/+333 digs and down? And no duggmirror?
- zweben, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I thought the iPhone cake was the best cake ever.
Which is it!?!? - jsreid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+28I'd rather have a mac pro cake.
- RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -9/+8I'd rather have money.
Although it is fitting to have a Mac cake. Both are mostly sugary fluff, and both are more about looks than anything else. - jman8888, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5@random
How? Macs are quality peices of hardware. I dont own one but i respect them and i also respect steve jobs for continuing trying all this time and now gaining some popularity. If apple ever realeses a Mid-Range tower that i can upgrade and drop a 7950GT into i'll Buy. - gordeh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My girlfriend made me a mac book pro one for my last birthday, and very tasty it was too
- Giever, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They both taste pretty good too. (Mmm, Silicon and Blood.)
- RandomGuySteve, on 10/12/2007, -9/+8I'd rather have money.
- sharpdust, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2haha, what a dork.
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Yeah, that comment will last on digg....Especially on an article about apple (fanboys are really protective)
- MMorris192, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/3812/normalmacminibcakegz1.jpg

- brewno2k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4beautiful handwriting over the cake. well done.
- uberdesigner, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11A photo of a birthday cake makes the front page?

- contourman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I hope it tastes of apples.
- Gryffydd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2My first thought was "Has the Mini been out for a whole year?" Duhhhhh
- mudlite, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Is that the real mac mini covered in frosting? icake?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/palmerized/67662114/ - BlindIrishman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My parents never would have bought me something like this! They won't even give me gift cards!
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For my 15th birthday I got a cell phone, and bed sheets...
- zomgflamer, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1i hope that cake came with a zip bag full of heroin and a hooker. Best birthday present u can give along with a mac cake.
- iNunchuk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Can you say fanboy capital? Even though I own a mac, this is just ridiculous. No wonder our PC counterparts humiliate us.
- PointGuard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Id rather have that iPhone cake.
- ij00mini, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6While very cool, clearly not the "Best Cake Ever"

- badgerz, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2The words "***** this *****" simply don't suffice to express how obscenely stupid I think this is.
- MacParrot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1and yet here you are posting on a topic you claim to not care about. Says more about you I think.
