Months after this advert aired and months after they were told in letters, email, and blogs that this problem existed, which they only recently acknowledged. - tadunne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey they don't restart they suddenly shutdown.. theres a difference ;)
The problems the macbook had was quite bad, but I believe they have fixed the problem now, first gen hardware always has a few issues anyway. - redhatcat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1False advertising from Apple? Never....
- tsunamisteve, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1The ad refers to all the restarts necessary after installations in Windows. And Apple released a firmware update fixing the sudden shutdowns.
- Matrixsjd, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1yeah, get over it people, the random shutdown only affected the macbook, and yes like stated above, first gen hardwear always has problems. I've never had that problem on either of my macs.
