Isn't a productivity booster supposed to make things go faster? - lfollmar, on 11/22/2007, -2/+3245. power key -- turn off
wow... REALLY? - getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -6/+32You know what I haven't had in a while? Big League Chew.
- ementis, on 11/22/2007, -2/+22really great list! although most of the features aren't new in leopard.

....whoops, wrong machine. - usingmacWenz, on 11/22/2007, -2/+13Sometimes it would be great to see those animated slow motion to refresh your mind. Refreshing mind is one of the ways to boost your productivity because we are not robots.
- MacParrot, on 11/22/2007, -0/+10A nice bottle of wine and a night of slow dancing
- breefield, on 11/22/2007, -1/+10Once you realize that most of the shortcuts center around the command key, things get a lot easier. When I surf the web, I keep my left thumb on the command key and hit W, Q, S, A, X, C, V, X, H, T, R, etc... But that alone lets me keep browsing without moving my mouse quite as far. In general they're just great time savers.

Speak for yourself. - ajchavar, on 11/22/2007, -0/+6resolution independence is still around, as far as i know. . . . but i could be an idiot.
seriously, the latter is a likely scenario. - inactive, on 11/22/2007, -0/+5this is about keyboard shortcuts.
- deadnoob, on 11/22/2007, -0/+4its productive when you SHIFT-F11 somebody 20 times before they realize and then they are stuck watching an animation for 4 minutes.
- inactive, on 11/22/2007, -0/+4Why not just make one?
- ajchavar, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3oh, and um, for quick look, dont use command-y, just hit spacebar.
you can also zoom some things in quick look with command - "+" and command - "-", and go fullscreen with command-f.
also, if you select multiple photos and hit space it autmatically goes to slideshow instead of quicklook (fullscreen, like slideshow in tiger).
you can also go right to fullscreen even if you only have one thing selected if you have the quicklook icon in the toolbar of the finder. hold down option (quicklook icon will change from eye to play button) and click the icon. i dont know a keyboard shortcut for that though, opt-space didnt work for me. - jmwander, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3As a Mac newbie, this guide is a beautiful thing. Anybody know of a PDF version of this guide or something similar? I'd like to keep a nice, clean copy next to my Mac.
- asskicker32, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3easy to pick up, difficult to master... like Go.
- digitalpencil, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3You don't cut in OS/X, you move
- luchid, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2It's built into Leopard, it just hasn't been given a UI yet (which will most likely be uncovered once you plug in a high-dpi display. Yo can try it right now with this command:
defaults write -g AppleDisplayScaleFactor 2.0
You can change 2 to 1 to reverse changes. - ricksite, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2You can always go to help in the finder and search for keyboard shortcuts. That is what the author did.
- dmoney22, on 11/22/2007, -1/+3thats disgusting
- coldfusion1970, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Well he could print it to PDF, but then you get all the adverts and other things on the page as well.
- miccet, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Photoshop CS2? Ok, same shortcuts, but why not CS3? But still awsome!
- wfbnadador, on 11/22/2007, -1/+2i couldn't get the force shut down to work as described, but got it rather by ctrl+option+cmd+eject .... dont know if thats just me or what.
- hackerssidekick, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1I'm sure you can do something fancy with the web clipping feature?
- Drewboy64, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1I know really. I mean The majority of them I was already using in Tiger. Not much of a list when half of them come from the previous operating system. Well regardless it's a very helpful list. Especially for those who don't use key commands. They're sooo useful. I can't go like a second without using one. I know this is random, but inverting the colors is so amusing to people who are not suspecting it. The look on their face is always priceless = D
- markiemarke, on 11/22/2007, -1/+2ive had my mac for ages and what id really like to know is what shortcut turns it on!

- NextOfKin, on 11/22/2007, -0/+0Anyone know a keyboard shortcut for 'Image size' in photoshop? I use it all the time and I really wish it had one-- or that I could create one for it.
