- unloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Hey look there....you got some negitive diggs....one for each brain cell.
- pixelperfect, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I only hope you are a chick.
- pixelperfect, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Awesome Mag.
Why so much hate over something free and awesome? - autoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Phocion, this one justifies ads because it's actually free. God, It's even printed and delivered to you for free.
- GravityMX, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9:O
Awesome! Looks like you can order FREE physical copies to give to your felow Mac friends. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7That's fair enough, but a lot of "ordinary" people aren't like that. You and I subscribe to a hundred feeds and live on the net seeking out constant news hourly. However, for a large chunk of users (not necessarily newbies or lamers, but maybe those with better things to do) simply walking into a store, they can see something they would have otherwise never saw.
Plus, you can read printed material while doing anything, without needing to worry about battery life, size or it being stolen etc.
People said paper based news would be dead - newspapers still make a lot of money ;) - t3hX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6http://z10.invisionfree.com/HackersCorp/index.php?showtopic=10
LMAO. Not just skript kiddies, emo skript kiddies :P
Oh, and BTW, the problems on MacTalk were because they were running an outdated version of IPB because they knew it'd break the theme if they updated. - autoy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Yay for freebies! (Macworld is so expensive where I live...)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4yer A$20 near me
- halfcockedjack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Good luck, especially in a field that's being beaten down by the whole Internet thing.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Yep, if you want around 30 copies of the magazine, just email me (decryption) and I will send you some copies to spread around to your friends, workmates, family, school, wherever!
- unloud, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5As apposed to "several good news"?
- samcam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'm the designer of the magazine, and there's no grey text on a black background! Sorry to disappoint you. ;) It's white text with a dark grey background...anyway, thanks for your feedback. And remember everyone, this is only the first issue - and though we've tried hard - it's not perfect...but we're working hard at getting it that way!
- skoles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I had MacWorld for 2 years because I got a free subscription w/my iPod Shuffle. Nice mag, but more towards the casual/new Mac users.
There's another called MacCreative that's more intermediate when it comes to reviews & tutorials. Unfortunatly, like most great design magazines, they come from the U.K. and cost $13 a pop. - skoles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Forgot to add that this Aussie mag looks promising. Hopefully it's filled with honest reviews by real-world users and not like the typical "we're paid to review the product by the manufacturer" type stuff.
- halfgoonhalfgod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've read it, and I like it. Decent articles that aren't outdated! (Unlike one certain magazine... Why pay for it when you've read the reviews a month earlier?)
Looking forward to the next issue! - sieiar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is a great mag and its free
- warbird, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1ooh, nice comeback! I applaude you
Too bad people have no sense of humour. And mac fanboys cant understand self irony (I'm a mac user too, but its still fun to make fun of it) - triplexpac, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1That sure is some tight leading. Ouch.
- Simplex42, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1It's a great mag and great forums were there too, but has been having trouble with skript kiddies from http://z10.invisionfree.com/HackersCorp/index.php?showtopic=105 who scripted the site since a week ago. I find it funny that the original thread they had on hackercorp they claimed responibility but then the kiddies own site was hacked itself and the administrators were forced to remove the claim!!!!
- billyFUN, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Grey text on a black background--it must be one of those magazines for people who don't like to read.
- EvilTesdall, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Dear god!! this is horrible!!! the devil is at work here.......
- GiggleStick, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1This just in, subscriptions to Highlights expected to go down.
http://www.highlights.com/ - Phocion55, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2MacTalk Magazine: Now packed with 75% more propaganda!
- rhesuspieces00, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Sorry to be the one to break it to ya, but printed computer magazines are going the way of the Amiga user. I can get all the same content for free on the web two weeks before they hit news stands. With good RSS usage, I can do it with a single mouse click.
- rhesuspieces00, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1I'm getting modded down because of the crack at Amiga. I knew it.
- Migraine, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1I hope Steve Jobs is the centerfold in the first issue.
- warbird, on 10/12/2007, -10/+2Now there is 2 magazines. 1 for each mac!
(watch me get dugg down =D) - qilx, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3a good news
- jriff, on 10/12/2007, -10/+0Hmm... the PDF can't be printed - that kinda sucks! Who wants to read an entire magazine on a screen.
What is Digg?
