- Makr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Mhmm.. Mac Porn.
- cmdawson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I kept looking for the processor, it's not really obvious where it is! I expected a huge heat sink, etc...
- zodieman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hold on... They didn't take it apart, they opened it.
When Kodawarisan (http://www.kodawarisan.com/) gets one, THEY will take it APART :) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why are the touchpad ribbons exposed under the battery? That can't be a good thing in the long run.
- picklepants, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I could do without the awful watermarks.
- fudgebrown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1not sure why my story got killed - but oh well - congrats to Introversion on his first.

Most people like the unique, premium-products, people post and digg these things since the products are cool. When Dell/HP/Gateway comes out with something unique and/or a big change, it just might get dugg too. - TheCheeta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@lebski88...
I can see you never grew out of your tattle-tale stage... "weinie"
Go ahead and tell your Mom I picked on you. My dad can beat up your Dad, anyways. - gamabunta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1" If you have a problem with any of their products, like I did, they will ***** you in a second." agreed. they tried to convince my my ipod wasnt broken when an day out of the box it would not turn on and i could hear a clicking.

Probably never, you know why? Because nobody cares what's inside them..... - ThirdPrize, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Phwoar! Naked laptops.
- xioner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And congrats to you on having a good attitude about it :-)
- Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0awesome, that didn't take long at all, thanks for sharing this with us
+digg - cosm0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with diggman, those ribbons exposed under the battery are not looking good. It's a shocking oversight on Apple's part which I bet is addressed in the next revision.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm not a mac fan but I sure like to see gadgets being disassembled!
- tsupersonic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've never seen a notebook dissected, but that looks cool. Everything looks so well organized. I am gonna have to open up my Toshiba laptop, because my backlight isn't working. Hope it's nice in there as the Mac (yeah right)
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Void warranty? ;)
- johandsome, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looking good!
- Greg-J, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here's my good deed for the day; Mirrors:

http://www.prntscrn.net/img.php?img=mbpro_19.jpg - dhaen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you've ever had to dismantle (disassemble) a G4 iBook or Powebook, you'll know this is a dream to work on by comparison. Looks like any reasonably dextrous person could replace / upgrade the HD.
- reelsyrius, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not too bad.. it looks accurate inside, however I don't really agree that it's "Fully disassembled." By "fully disassembled" I'm thinking the hour or more task of taking it down to the frame with the components out of the unit... but that's just my take on it.
Getting to the stage they did shouldn't take more than 15 minutes of work for most portable certified techs.
Nice pictures though and certainly good to see them up :-) - LaughingMan11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not really a complete dissection... I half expected them to lift the main logic board out and find the Core Duo chip on the other side. We'll have to wait for kodawarsian before we can have a complete autopsy of the victim.
- MaxDrax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The innards are revealed. It's not dissected. Guess they wanted it to boot again.
- ravuya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The new mirrored logo looks pretty nice. Wondering about the position of the ribbon myself.
Seems to have smaller blower fans than my 12" 1.33; unfortunately they're still sticking with Seagate. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice placement with the RAM slots.. Very easy access.. Looks good. Would love to see the CPU :)
- toasty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0beautiful. Just wished you can still access the ram by flipping the keyboard like the titanium models. =(
- asdfer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OWC Rocks!
- terafunker, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This is incredible! Manufacturers can now be the focus of immediate scrutiny by anyone on the web. It may seem obcessive, but in such a strongly consumerist society these sorts of exposures of products are paramount in the fight to keep companies from building ***** and getting away with it because no one knows better than to buy.
Plus, this is more of the same great fan-based publicity for Apple; I mean, when was the last time you saw anything like this for the new Dell/HP/Gateway *insert meaningless alphanumeric for product name here*? - bpd115, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My batt life on my 2.0 Ghz model was a little over 3 hours on the first charge w/o calabration, screen at 75%, bluetooth off, installing some apps, copying files over, safari, and ichat.
- slackbuster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Intel will be the death of Apple
- Bandito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"What I still don't get is that no one has benchmarked this machine themselves. It just seems like everyone is afraid to let out the secret of the battery life."
Thank you Gratarian. I know I'm still waiting for that info too. I've heard rumors of 6 hours, but I think that there would be a rush to get an official "review" out there (instead of the post-keynote previews that flurried about) - frem001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"What I still don't get is that no one has benchmarked this machine themselves. It just seems like everyone is afraid to let out the secret of the battery life."
from what i heard it's about 3-4 hours of realworld use (non of that optimum conditions *****), could be more if it's just word processing. - Kitsune818, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"What was the open slot near the center?"
The memory connector, sans memory. - drakino, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Just wished you can still access the ram by flipping the keyboard like the titanium models. =("
I'm glad they moved away from that. The Powerbook I have has one of the most solid keyboards I have ever used on a laptop. The TiBook was right up there with the rest that usually have flimsy keyboards due to them being removable.
For as little as I access memory, I'm fine with a panel on the bottom. I do wish though the hard drive wasn't a pain in the ass to get to though. It's one reason I went CTO on my MacBook order, to avoid upgrading the drive myself later. - Nitrocide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Thank you Gratarian. I know I'm still waiting for that info too. I've heard rumors of 6 hours, but I think that there would be a rush to get an official "review" out there (instead of the post-keynote previews that flurried about)"
Which official review do you speak of? - silent1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Fully" disassembled? Looks like the guy/gal chickened out at "kind-of-apart" stage to me. :-)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What was the open slot near the center?
- Atreides, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Beings that OWC sells Mac Parts, I would imagine that they are an Apple Authorized Service Center. If that is the case, I doubt his warranty would be voided.
- Gratarian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1What I still don't get is that no one has benchmarked this machine themselves. It just seems like everyone is afraid to let out the secret of the battery life.
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -0/+0lebski88, what did the dissector do wrong?
- jurassic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0FULLY taken apart ?? Stupid, it just opened it up... not good digg :(
- Nanx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool, except, well, kind of a waste of a MBP...
- twmsdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Please put the prettyness back together. I would never take it apart. Too much money. Nice though.
- twmsdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Please but the prettyness back together. I would never take it apart. Too much money. Nice though.
- Introversion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Lol @ "Mac Porn."
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0How can that guy use so many big words but yet spells obsessive wrong?
- Makr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It's what it is.... *shrugs*
- jogeek, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0serial numbers anyone?
- aten, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0So windows fan boys, you may resume being secretly jealous.
