We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what's I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've know each other for so long
Your heart's been aching
But you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it

And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Repeat Chorus
Give you up, give you up
Give you up, give you up
Never gonna give,
Never gonna give, give you up
Never gonna give,
Never gonna give, give you up
Last four lines repeated
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
- Westford, on 03/29/2008, -2/+2I look forward every waking second to be Rick Roll'd.
- smacksaw, on 03/29/2008, -1/+4I would much rather be Rickrolled than hear that stupid song about her "new hole living in a strange whatever give and take" crap.
I feel like Apple is rickrolling me every time that commercial comes up.

- LeeSoong, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1They forgot to dump the $ 1,100 out of the envelope they did not spend on Apple by buying a Dell...
- themonkman, on 03/29/2008, -1/+108Just don't put a envelope of infinite holding inside of another envelope of infinite holding. Bad things happen. Very bad things.
- jmp478, on 03/29/2008, -0/+7Sweet honey bee of infinity!
- celkin, on 03/29/2008, -0/+7you mean like...dividing by zero?
- rentmitchum, on 03/29/2008, -3/+2I made awesome bombs in a game once. I made basically bottles with corks and bags of holding set up inside with a string to the cork to drop into a portable hole on the bottom of the bottle when thrown. They were like metal tins. The string was fine enough that when thrown it was we figured out like 80% likely to break the string and work out the way I wanted.. My DM got rid of them fast, as the rules for that event + my traveling capabilities made it a funny way to screw over most non-flying beings. Incongruity bombs I called them. Excellent stuff. =D
- oblique63, on 03/29/2008, -0/+24yes, but unfortunately, I believe it might be infringing some patents, seeing as how Mary Poppins came up with this idea ages ago...

- lamiaconfitor, on 03/29/2008, -1/+38d and d fan trying to digg you back up :)
- nachochease, on 03/29/2008, -15/+157It's making more fun of the envelope than it is about the Mac Air. Still, not too bad.
- pintomp3, on 03/29/2008, -1/+105that's the point, the mac air is all about the envelope.
- janetsColdSore, on 03/29/2008, -18/+7I think it's making fun of the big ugly Dell more than the Macbook or the envelope.
- adolfojp, on 03/29/2008, -1/+22Not quite. This video would have worked with any Mac tower too.
- ShrimpCrackers, on 03/29/2008, -0/+9Now that you've said that, I kind of want to see the Mac tower version too...
- adolfojp, on 03/29/2008, -1/+22Not quite. This video would have worked with any Mac tower too.
- klick37, on 03/29/2008, -18/+6Making fun of the envelope? You must be some kind of stupid, it is making fun of the commercial.
- junkwheel, on 03/29/2008, -7/+24It is making fun of Dell by coming up with what their response to the MacBook Air ad would be; make a bigger envelope to fit their huge stuff into, not change the tech.
- reallydigginit, on 03/29/2008, -3/+11Agree with Junkwheel. It's clearly making fun of Dell.
- fjc8, on 03/29/2008, -2/+10Actually, the Dell Latitude D430 (12.1" 3 lbs laptop) fits into the same standard-sized envelope as seen in the MacBook Air commercials.
- TheMarenum, on 03/29/2008, -0/+6Perhaps it's making fun of multiple things.......
- phronko, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3It's funny because you THINK it's going to make fun of Dell or the Mac Air, but really it's just a reversal of "the computer is so small it fits into an envelope", making it "the envelope is so big that any computer will fit into it."
It's sorta less funny when you have to explain why it's funny, though.
- Ainsleh, on 03/29/2008, -15/+79Rather funny, a bit long though.
- banmaster, on 03/29/2008, -8/+13Way too long.
- Kerrigore, on 03/29/2008, -0/+5I think the point of the length was how much stuff you need for the Dell, how long it takes to set up, etc.
- celkin, on 03/29/2008, -0/+4What you mean Dell? This applies to any desktop.
- Kerrigore, on 03/29/2008, -0/+5I think the point of the length was how much stuff you need for the Dell, how long it takes to set up, etc.
- Ataxia2008, on 03/29/2008, -3/+57I told you to delete that picture of my ***** I sent you guys.

- gmprunner, on 03/29/2008, -0/+9I'm interested in knowing why they would think that picture is "rather funny"
- Ataxia2008, on 03/29/2008, -0/+11In the picture I sent I put a little red fez hat on the top (made out of crete paper) and it looked like Tommy Cooper.
- Synapse84, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1@Ataxia2008, i hate to do this, but you deserve the diggs.. lol.

- obeseratt, on 03/29/2008, -1/+0That was the only part i laughed at. the rest was a bit slow-paced

- brainboy77, on 03/29/2008, -20/+14*****, huh? yeah, quad core, 4 gb, all running over 2ghz at each core, yeah definitly ***** when compared to the macbook air which has a 1.86 dual-core and no ***** optical drive. don't give me that *****.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 03/29/2008, -4/+8You forgot the video card.
- Dylson, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Its not a ***** quad core either.
- MrSparky, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1I think you'll find it was Dell who forgot a Video Card.
- Kerrigore, on 03/29/2008, -0/+15He may have meant "*****" as the more neutral "stuff", and also, you do realize you're comparing a desktop to an ultraportable, right?
- R3morse, on 03/29/2008, -2/+12ultra portable? its as portable as any other laptop, just more likely to snap in the bag.
- Kerrigore, on 03/29/2008, -1/+5It's what the market is called =P

- TastyLamp, on 03/29/2008, -5/+29Nowhere does it say or even imply that Macs are better. Learn to take a joke for Science's sake.
- dunk71, on 03/29/2008, -5/+9Actually, right at the end it says "Made on a Mac" which implies, by promotion, that the makers of the video feel that Macs are superior.
- HolyChimp, on 03/29/2008, -2/+17Or implying that, you know, they made it on a Mac.
- dunk71, on 04/02/2008, -0/+1It doesn't imply that. It states it.
- PleaseJustDie, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmik-tH6dEs
Here's a video where he complains completely about his mac and the entire video was made on a mac. Just because it was made on a mac doesn't mean the people making it think macs are superior.- dunk71, on 04/02/2008, -0/+1Kind of stupid of him to be using a Mac if he thinks a PC can do a better job. Says more about his attitude than it does about the hardware and/or software. However, there's no ambiguity there - the guy thinks Macs suck. In the OP the message of the video is less clear and so the inclusion of the "Made on a Mac" frames imply support of Macs in one way or another.
- PleaseJustDie, on 04/04/2008, -0/+1it probably just means that at work, he has to use a mac.
- HolyChimp, on 03/29/2008, -2/+17Or implying that, you know, they made it on a Mac.
- ScottyDelicious, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2Dugg for using "for Science's sake".
Science Dammit anyway!
- dunk71, on 03/29/2008, -5/+9Actually, right at the end it says "Made on a Mac" which implies, by promotion, that the makers of the video feel that Macs are superior.
- badjoke, on 03/29/2008, -1/+26Soooo, you just guess what apostrophes are for?
- cmiller1, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Maybe they just do it to piss of people like you
- Kerrigore, on 03/29/2008, -1/+3If "no one else cares", why are certain people always dissing macs? Why is every thread involving an Apple announcement inevitably filled with people arguing about which is better, often unprovoked by Apple fans? Let's face it, plenty of PC enthusiasts are threatened by Macs... it's actually a pretty normal psychological reaction to defend the product you've chosen.
- Dylson, on 03/29/2008, -1/+1Go cry to your mommy ya little 12 year old ***** you.
- TastyLamp, on 03/29/2008, -5/+29Nowhere does it say or even imply that Macs are better. Learn to take a joke for Science's sake.
- D14BL0, on 03/29/2008, -8/+222I have to say, this is one of the better Mac parodies I've seen in a long time.
You hear that, YouTube? We're tired of Mac vs PC spinoffs! Stop that!- diggSJaustin, on 03/29/2008, -6/+5My personal favorite (NRR): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JOCU7qMr2k

- FlyinWhee, on 03/29/2008, -1/+1Most parodies try to make fun of Apple, this one is fanboy wanking material.
- Berkana, on 03/29/2008, -30/+359I thought he was going to finish by pulling out a fat wad of cash equal to what you'd be saving getting the Dell desktop instead of the MacBook Air.
- banmaster, on 03/29/2008, -5/+128NO envelope is that big!!
- lamiaconfitor, on 03/29/2008, -14/+52If you didn't spend all that money, you couldn't be a pretentious jerk.

- chatzimcfee, on 03/29/2008, -2/+5Burned.
- threemagic, on 03/29/2008, -10/+51Sure you can, see your comment.
- MisterThePlague, on 03/29/2008, -29/+17Yeah, why buy a Macbook Air when you can buy a Dell Desktop? And why buy a Mercedes when you can buy a Huffy?
- Jeffler, on 03/29/2008, -14/+5Dude, all mass market computers are basically the same, its what you put on them and what you do with them that makes them different in ways other than how they look.
A better comparison would be why drive a Fiero when you could drive a Fiero with a Ferrari conversion kit?- janetsColdSore, on 03/29/2008, -0/+28Agreed. That Dell Desktop is exactly the same thing as a Macbook Air. I'm typing this from my XPS mini-tower at Starbucks right now. I don't know why everybody's pointing and laughing at me though.
- Hoogs, on 03/29/2008, -0/+12Maybe because you're sitting in Starbucks.
- threemagic, on 03/29/2008, -0/+5>A better comparison would be why drive a Fiero when you could drive a Fiero with a Ferrari conversion kit?
I had to digg you down because of the "all computers are the same" when it's obvious an ultra portable is being compared to a desktop..however, I agree with your Fiero comparison (although, why fiero?) - adolfojp, on 03/29/2008, -1/+3"its what you put on them"
I think that the Dell tower might have a few more expansion slots/bays/ports than the Air. - digitalunit, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2threemagic, Fiero's are ideal, if not the only car you can completely make a 100% replica of a Ferrari with.
- PleaseJustDie, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1I wouldn't say 100%, you can put an 8 cylinder small block engine in it and do the skin swap, but its still not 100% of a Ferrari, it just looks mostly like a Ferrari from the outside and goes pretty fast.
- Philluminati, on 03/29/2008, -3/+1"its what you put on them."
Well they come with different operating systems.... - juicebag, on 03/29/2008, -2/+1 >threemagic
This isn't 4chan. Why are you quoting like it is?
- janetsColdSore, on 03/29/2008, -0/+28Agreed. That Dell Desktop is exactly the same thing as a Macbook Air. I'm typing this from my XPS mini-tower at Starbucks right now. I don't know why everybody's pointing and laughing at me though.
- trispear, on 03/29/2008, -7/+1Are you badanalogy guy? A Huffy is not even a car.
And Benzes suck (today). I know, I owned a couple -- not even that old but money pits for constant overpriced parts/repairs. Other than the brakes, they still make all the mechanical stuff very good and longlasting (engine, transmission) but the eletronics/electrical reliability is crap and with a modern 90-00s car you can forget it as it turns the the entire vehicle into a nightmare for your wallet at any garage. That's why the brand sucks -- read any reliability on Consumer Reports, Mercedes is on the bottom. Get a Honda, Toyota, Subaru, or something instead. Or an American Truck/Van if that's your niche.- Kajarago, on 03/29/2008, -1/+3Look there goes the point. you missed it
- Jeffler, on 03/29/2008, -14/+5Dude, all mass market computers are basically the same, its what you put on them and what you do with them that makes them different in ways other than how they look.
- iet2004, on 03/29/2008, -23/+14he's saving all that money so he an buy the necessarily anti-virus, anti-spamware/adware, spare pc parts he'll need in about a year, etc. etc. Hey, I've got a Mac and several PCs at home. I use them both equally. But I'm definitely not blind to the fact that I've spent tons more cash on my PC after the initial purchase than I have on my mac. Actually....besides software (those that i can't bittorrent), i haven't spent a dime on the mac. The PC's a year old, and already i can't wait to send it off to college (figuratively speaking).
- bumblefoot, on 03/29/2008, -4/+28simple, dont be an idiot when your using your computer and it wont be necessary to run all the antivirus/spamware/adware stuff
- kinseyincanada, on 03/29/2008, -6/+1but the average computer user is an idiot, and thus macs are better in the long run for that average person.
- ashleegirl, on 03/29/2008, -0/+4@kinseyincanada: do you realize that you just basically said that macs are for idiots?
- Gamer2k4, on 03/29/2008, -0/+6@ashleegirl: Are you saying you disagree with that implication?
- TheConman, on 03/30/2008, -0/+3@all of you: ***** computers, I use an abacus
- kaptainchump, on 03/29/2008, -3/+23It's not really necessary to run all that garbage on a PC if you're careful about what programs you open or you set up the computer correctly.
On another note, have you seen that the macbook air was hacked in 2 minutes? Interesting news...
http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/27/pwn-2-own-over- ...- screwfanboys1, on 03/29/2008, -0/+3awesome
- trispear, on 03/29/2008, -2/+1Not on the first day, and it was not an OS exploit. They could only exploit OS X (via Safari) and Vista (yes, Vista too) when they told the judges to navigate to a specific site or open a specific email.
On running software for Windows -- if you have a household; it's almost impossible to enforce what the kids do (stupid things) or install. Even Windows XP Home didn't have completely seperate accounts (they could see everyone's files unlike Pro and all versions of Vista).
Ubuntu might be the best for PC hardware (barring any Windows software that needs to be run).- bumblefoot, on 03/29/2008, -2/+3they gained root access by a safari exploit, how is that not OS exploit? and the linux and vista systems weren't broken in the time limit. says a lot when a macbook air goes down in 2 minutes and something that everyone says has loads of security holes in stays up for the whole event
- trispear, on 03/29/2008, -0/+1Where you are getting your info? It was a Safari exploit -- they did not necessarily gain root priviledge and may not have been able to do any damage beyond Safari -- hence not an OS exploit.
The Vista system was broken into and won. It's on digg now.
- DeadElephant, on 03/29/2008, -1/+15Really, I haven't spent more than $12 extra (USB mouse) on my Windows laptop, and everything I use is legal... No problems here.
- adolfojp, on 03/29/2008, -0/+27Cost of getting a free Windows anti virus program and not installing every magic search bar with free smilies that you find over the web: $0.00
- omaryak, on 03/29/2008, -3/+4Having a computer that works the way it's supposed to without having to remember to defragment: priceless
- Parkinsons, on 03/29/2008, -1/+3Your talking about Linux, right?
- RealityCheque, on 03/29/2008, -10/+2"Set the computer up correctly". Wow, what an interesting argument...so what is the "correct" way to set up a computer? Advanced firewall configuration? Firewall software? Anti virus software? Relying on google to tell you what sites have malware? Being in the IT field so you understand everything? Explain that to the person who uses their PC to look at ESPN.com and check email.
I HATE to break this to you, but you make up a VAST minority of the world's PC users; most people just buy one, plug it in, turn it on, and except it to just "work". PC's do that for about a month, then they get viruses and spyware (for an average user). Power users likely are still going to have to run spyware removal ***** once a month or so.
My point is, you never have to do this on a Mac. Ever. Your argument is "set it up right and be careful with what you do". On my Macs, I have zero fear of going to the most god awful sites on the internet, because I know I am not at risk in anyway shape or form. And guess what? I didn't have to "set it up properly" or "be careful"; I just turned the ***** on.
I forget though, that you nerds take pride in the fact that you basically have turned "setting up and using your PC properly" into a part time job (that you don't get paid for). I am sure your family calls you all the time to "fix their computers" too.
Be ignorant ALL you want, make dumbass comments about how Macs cost more money, because the truth is that it is simply a much better platform for consumers / non-enterprise customers. When Windows gets to the point where you can plug it in and not have to run anti-virus or spyware software is the day it's a good investment for a blue-collar, average consumer. Until then, just accept the fact that not everyone pursues IT security when all they want to do is look at porn and send chain letters.- gcnaddict, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2Actually, it's funny. I have a laywoman computer repair client whose house I went to in order to clean her computer. On her receipt, I told her how to avoid those problems in the future.
She's a layuser but she still followed my tips. One year later when she called me over to install a printer over the network, I asked her how everything was doing and looked at the computers in the house; they were all clean!
It's a matter of knowing, even for the average user.
As for the mac, expect it to be a target of attacks within the next year or so due to its increasing market share. - Issius, on 03/29/2008, -1/+1And the majority are also the ones who spend 50 bucks to get RAM installed. No one cares about your reasons for not doing something except for maybe you. If you go through the necessary steps, you won't have a problem with your computer. If you don't, then you will. Get off your high horse and stop thinking that just because people are stupid everyone is expected to cater to them. BTW, your mac isn't as secure as you might think. Just because you might not get a virus doesn't mean you won't succumb to phishing, especially if you don't PAY THE ***** ATTENTION like you should be doing when you connect to another computer (i.e., browse the internet)
And btw, no one gives a ***** about the guy who uses his computer to look at ESPN.com - RealityCheque, on 03/29/2008, -1/+1Must not have been "set up properly" the first time! That's ok; thankfully, she was able to PAY YOU to do something she wouldn't have had to pay for had she bought a Mac!
I guess if I was taking advantage of laypeople to charge them for simple procedures, I would be defending and making excuses for a piss-poor platform too. - MrSparky, on 03/29/2008, -2/+0Dugg: You dropped the C-Bomb.

- bumblefoot, on 03/29/2008, -4/+28simple, dont be an idiot when your using your computer and it wont be necessary to run all the antivirus/spamware/adware stuff
- digitalpencil, on 03/29/2008, -17/+5Ah, the mac-haters.. you people amuse me no-end! I have a question for you all though (feel free to assemble yourselves as a collective and elect a spokesperson.. it's ok, i''ll wait)
Why are you so threatened?
I mean, we get it.. we read it pretty much every day on digg.. 'macs are expensive', 'they have no right-click', 'you can't play crysis'.. do you do the same to people who drive nice cars and live in big houses? like, knock-a-door-run except when you scurry away, you point out how much more much expensive their house is compared to your shack.
Honestly, WTF is the point? You're here, like EVERY-day, spamming comment threads of funny little youtube vids with the same regurgitated 'witticisms' you all laughed and patted each other on the back for yesterday.. I mean do you guys work in shifts, digging each others comments with a 'ha ha, nice one' reply? WTF is the point?
No-one cares! it's a funny parody on youtube, please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD stop interpreting these articles as license to spam comment threads with the same, uninspired ***** you used last tuesday.. it's a ***** machine! don't feel threatened by it, it isn't cause to curl into a ball and cry about the fact you secretly must not like your own computer, get. the *****. over yourselves!- theragu40, on 03/29/2008, -3/+17Mac owners like you. That is the reason we hate Macs. It's not the machines - they're fine, for what they are. But everyone who uses them is just like you - smug, self-aggrandizing, and confrontational. - Berkana, on 04/01/2008, -0/+1Dude, I'm a loyal mac user, and have been since MacOS 8. I'm just pointing out that Dell desktops are cheap and the Macbook Air is expensive. Chill.

- zunipus, on 03/29/2008, -17/+6The so-called lower cost of Windows PCs is probably my favorite computer myth. It demonstrates just how little comprehension people have of finances. It /might/ be possible to buy all that Dell stuff for less than a MacBook Air, but the cost of a computer never stops the moment you pay the shelf price. If you want to know why, read on. Otherwise go off on your fantasy and live in the land of fairies.
COO = Cost of ownership. The Windows PC consistently loses here big time. This includes all the money you have to shell out on the computer after you already bought it, including anti-malware with updates, repair utilities and technical support, both by yourself and by 3rd party support you have to pay. The cost of supporting a Windows PC remains close to 10x higher than the required support of any Macintosh. Go look it up. Also, the Plug and Pray problem persists on the Windows platform. . Don't bother arguing otherwise. I do Windows PC support. Macs invented plug and play a couple decades back and as ever. 'it just works' . The old myth that you can't get peripherals for Macs is now more nonsense than ever.
ROI = Return On Investment: This is what money you get BACK through the use of your computer. Macs consistently win in this category. They have the longest usage life versus any Windows PC, often by a factor of 2X longer. Macs have the higher resell value. Macs provide the single most efficient interface available for any operating system, allowing the user to get more done. There used to be another old myth that Macs didn't have all the software a person might need to do their work. That myth is dead thanks to Macs now being on Intel CPUs. You can run Windows and all its apps on any Intel Mac by direct boot (via BootCamp provided by Apple) or virtualization (via Parallels or VMWare), or run a variety of popular Windows only apps directly in Mac OS X via various WINE derivatives. There is even a compatibility layer that is being used to port Windows games over to Mac OS X. (Oops, that's a loss of investment, if you value your work. Apologies). Shockingly, it has been found in some cases that Macs run Windows and its apps faster than comparable PC boxes. This is the case with Vista running on laptops.
There are several reports researching the ACTUAL cost of computers on the Internet dating back to 1995 when the net became popular. Google Macintosh along with COO and ROI. Not one single comprehensive computer cost report favors any Windows PC. They ALL prove that Macs are cheaper and always have been. You just have to think past the initial price tag. And even then, some contemporary Mac models have a lower price tag than comparable Windows PC machines, thank you Apple.
So why bother with a Windows PC box? (A) You like to DIY your machine. (B) You're forced to by your employer. (C) You got the box for free. (D) You only need a limited hardware box setup, versus the tendency of Macs to have everything built in by default.
So who has to actually be a money-bags to buy a computer? The Windows PC user. The frugal buyer gets a Macintosh. Isn't it funny how mythology works?- Archaic1, on 03/29/2008, -2/+14Please tell you just copied and pasted that from somewhere and didn't just type an essay to prove a point on Digg
- theragu40, on 03/29/2008, -1/+6TLDR
- Teej, on 03/29/2008, -2/+12Isn't it funny how fanboyism works?
COO=AVG Free, Spybot S&D, and a little intelligence. No money spent on protection, and my Windows XP installation is still running quickly with no issues.
ROI=May be an issue for some people, but it's not for me as I don't sell my computers, I use them until they break or are outdated enough that I notice. Also, with PCs, you can keep components to use in your next system which cuts down the cost.
Don't say "limited hardware box setup" in a sentence about Macs and try to spin it positively. Come on, who are you trying to kid? Macs are the definition of limited hardware.
The frugal buyer who wants a powerful and upgradable tower-style computer most certainly does not buy a Mac, because their cheapest model is $2700 US.
Oh, and that windows XP installation I was talking about? It's installed on a Macbook Pro. The difference is that I'm not blinded by fanboyism. In fact, I'm incredibly pissed off at Apple for not updating any of the Windows drivers for their hardware since October. It's inexcusable because BASIC functionality like mouse clicking with a trackpad tap still does NOT work.- faet, on 03/29/2008, -1/+2Also, for the COO, both use similar parts, so any hardware problems *should* be about equal. But, it is far cheaper to get parts for a PC than a Mac. If I want to get a motherboard for a xeon processor, it can cost as low as 50$ if I want to be cheap, the MacPro motherboard is probably $400 from apple.
- JMSantos, on 03/29/2008, -1/+12"I am a mac fanboy." would have been quicker to type and read.
- bumblefoot, on 03/30/2008, -0/+1"Don't bother arguing otherwise. I do Windows PC support." i doubt that but hey, whatever turns you on, i run computer support on windows and linux systems and so far the only machines i have had crash on me have been the old G3 imacs, but im not biased, as i tell anyone who asks my advice, any computer can be the most secure machine on the planet or the least secure machine on the planet, all it takes to keep it is be smart with what your doing on it, and keep a AV and firewall upto date on windows or just a firewall in linux (not sure about mac firewalls tbh) and you'll be safe from 99% of malware
- mrBitch, on 03/31/2008, -0/+1Out of interest, how old are those G3 iMacs? What sort of use are they being put to?
- Berkana, on 04/01/2008, -0/+1I know all the points you make. I am a loyal mac user and do business using Macs excusively. Read what I said, not what you think I said. I'm just pointing out that basic Dell desktops are cheap and MacBook Airs are expensive. Are you going to dispute that? Sheesh.
- Daggity, on 03/29/2008, -0/+22He spent the rest on the SuperEnvelope, duh.
- colincornaby, on 03/29/2008, -4/+3"I thought he was going to finish by pulling out a fat wad of cash equal to what you'd be saving getting the Dell desktop instead of the MacBook Air." Because nothing says portable computing like a $300 big ass Dell desktop.

yeah, it fits in the envelope, what makes the Air so special? that you pay $2000 for it? yeah, that mac'll _never_ get nicked by some guy walking past... unlike the Dell. Ha.
Macbooks have been plagued by this kind of problem for years: they stand out, and everyone knows they're worth more. they just made the problem worse. my friends are never getting a mac for this reason alone.- clak, on 03/29/2008, -2/+14Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard on Digg and that's saying something!
- adambz, on 03/29/2008, -0/+6"Macbooks have been plagued by this kind of problem for years: they stand out, and everyone knows they're worth more"
So, you think having a computer that's worth something isn't a good thing? Stick with Dell. :) - iet2004, on 03/29/2008, -2/+6BMWs are great cars, but I'd never buy one because I'm afraid it'll get stolen. I'll stick my Ford Focus for a while.
Listen to what you just said. - digitalpencil, on 03/29/2008, -0/+7What impeccable logic.. I guess I should rid myself of everything of value on the off chance someone might steal it. Get rid of my nice car, buy a crap one or.. even better, a cart and a horse. no one could steal a horse, they're objectionable and unwieldy creatures at the best of times! Thankyou Dell-fairy, you've made my life oh so simpler!
- zunipus, on 03/29/2008, -3/+4So by all means buy the Windows Piece-o-Crap box so no one wants to steal it. And you never have to worry about your friends and family envying your computer purchase. No one will every mistake you for someone intelligent either. That would be scary.
- norbiu, on 03/29/2008, -2/+244Dugg for the rubber chicken. It took a while for that bastard to come out.
